Have to start by saying that this place is a strong three stars, in my eyes. Walking in, you should know what you're getting into and what to expect. This is Universal City Walk, stores here are a bit over the top, everything is a little more expensive, and flavors generally take a back seat to high volume for the crowds and flashy style. Keeping that in mind, Slice House would probably stand out amongst other offerings here on the walk. After a full day in Hogsmead, eating Bangers and Mash, with warm Butterbeer to wash it down, my wife and I were looking for something small and easy to end the day. The prospect of a slice of pizza was on our mind ever since we left the park, and we came straight to Slice House as soon as left Universal. I chose the Traditional, a Detroit-style slice with pepperoni and sausage. The meat was good, not too oily, a light bit of heat, and was juicy and flavorful. The crust was the only detractor for me; while the taste of it was good, it was overall a bit dry, with the edges close to the point of being difficult or impossible to chew. My wife opted for the Sweet Gino, a meatless option with nice chunks of mozzarella and fresh basil that had sadly dried into slightly bitter and unpleasant to chew bits. Still a good slice of pizza. In the end, a fairly good dinner. Aside from the minor issues we had with the flavor and cooking, my biggest problem was the cost. Each slice was a bit north of $10 in price. While it was an alright amount of food, it wasn't close to a full meal. Elsewhere, you can get two similar slices and a drink for cheaper. Here, the same for the two of us would have broken $60. And that just kind of brought down our whole experience. Anyway, Slice House ain't too bad. If we're ever back out this way, it's safe to say we would try other restaurants on the City Walk before coming back here. But, it's still good enough to recommend to anyone looking for a light lunch or an alright slice. read more

It was less than average super oily pizza and the service was good. We were not expecting the best at this pizza place and got exactly what we expected. Being hungry and with not a lot of good choices we chose this. I first ordered a slice of Hawaiian but it was so flat and with little meat that I changed it to pepperoni last minute. The pizza sauce wasn't too sweet and the pepperoni was so small. It was well cooked. I used about 5 napkins to absorb the oil. I'm not gonna lie. This is the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life.! The first time I went in June and I tried a slice of the Angelino and I thought that was bomb. Then I went again with my friend last month. I ordered the Detroit with jalapeño and pepperoni. We got the hot honey & the ranch. It was so delicious that we had to order a second pizza to go home. I think we spent $100 on two pizzas but I wasn't even worried about it because I never had anything that amazing. I'm a pizza enthusiast and let me tell you when I say the best pizza I will still go back and spend a lot of money to eat their food, but I also found this app called too good to go and the third time I ordered it was on Sat night because it's also has become my boyfriend's favorite and it was his birthday on Sunday . I took the trolley up the hill and I only spent $17 on a pizza that would've been over $50. I had to walk down and I took the train back to hollywood but by the time my boyfriend arrived he was so happy that he had that as a part of his birthday gift. Thank you to the cooks. Overall: Not going to lie, my expectations were relatively low for a pizza joint on the City Walk. I expected expensive, mediocre food, but I was surprised how good the pizza was. Yes, it was expensive, but I think it was very delicious and would come here again for the pizza if I was at Universals! I stopped by here on a whim when I was at City Walk for an escape room. I would give it 4 stars due to the price and service. The Service: Service was minimal. You order at a counter, letting them know what pizza you would like. They heat up the pizza and call your name when it's ready. The restaurant is relatively busy, so tables full and were not cleaned up when people were finished so it was a bit messy. Service is the main piece where I am docking points for. The Food: I ordered the pepperoni pizza and the hot mario. Both pizzas were nice and crispy. It was crispy, but not burnt. The crust had a good amount of chew to it still and was thin. Good amount of toppings. If you are looking for a bit of spicy, I definitely recommend the hot mario. I loved the dollops of cheese on the top. I would recommend that they serve hot honey on the side if possible, but that's just a personal preference. One slice per person is pretty filling since the slices are on the larger side, but if you're hungry, you might want to order 2. Price: Very expensive for pizza - ranging between $10-12 a slice which is super pricey! It makes sense because it's on city walk and will be a more affordable option compared to some of the other restaurants. The Atmosphere: Very busy restaurant with seating inside, but we went after the park closed so it was super crowded and had to share a table with another group. Parking: Located in city walk so you have to pay for parking - I don't think they validate. read more

Yay!! What a great addition to CityWalk. First tried this chain up in Santa Clarita thanks to a Yelp Elite event! We frequently come to Universal as pass members so this is a great spot for a bite to eat. Like the name says, you can order by the slice or get a whole box but we like to get a few different slices to try them all. The slices are HUGE and they really fill you up. I went for the "spider" one which had black garlic drizzle. Very strong flavor but very delicious!! It really grew on me. The restaurant itself is pretty small. They have some tables but also bar seating. The pickup counter is inconvenient so you're kind of just stuck standing there waiting. Great pizza! Slices are about $10, however. Thankfully, the New York style slices are pretty massive -- I got one pepperoni slice and was set for dinner. I would say it's truly NY style; thin, crispy bottom and chewy crust, spicy curled pepperoni. Quick service even though the line was long. Lots of seating inside but was totally full after the park closed, so I ate upstairs across from the AMC. Great food option! Glad this made its way to City Walk! read more

So there's this new pizza place at CityWalk, and honestly I think it's a great idea. The location's perfect, right in the middle of all the action. They've got a bunch of pizza styles like Grandma, Detroit, New York, and Sicilian. We went around 2pm on a Thursday and it was already pretty packed. Most of the seats were taken, which is always a good sign the food's good. My wife and I decided to pop in and give it a shot, the pizza in display looked tasty. Right away we noticed they've got a nice setup inside with two TVs, perfect if you wanna sit and hang out for a bit after walking around Universal Studios or CityWalk. Ordering was easy. They had two cashiers, one inside and one as you first walked up. That kept the line going so the line moved quick. We tried a slice of the "Motörhead" pizza. They've got a ton of styles and toppings to pick from which is awesome, but yeah, prices are kinda on the high side. A pepperoni slice was $9.99, and the Motörhead slice came out to about $13 after tax. Bit pricey for just one slice, not gonna lie. But, that Motörhead slice was good. Super flavorful, crispy, and just different in a really good way. The pizza made up for the price. My wife and I shared a slice since $13 felt like a lot for one, but we both said we'd definitely come back to try some of the other styles. They serve Pepsi products and a few adult drinks, which is nice. The menu's not just pizza either, they've got pasta, ice cream, and a bunch of sides (didn't try any this time though). Overall, solid spot for pizza lovers. Prices are a little up there, but the pizza's tasty, the vibe is good, and it's in an awesome spot at CityWalk. We'll for sure be back again soon. Pizza slices are a tad pricey but one slice can easily fill you up! It's a better deal to get a whole pie. Regular crust and the thick crust are both very good here. Good sauce, good cheese and good toppings. We were all pleasantly surprised on how good the hot wings were! Perfect amount of a crunch on the outside and the chicken was very tender. The service was fantastic at this location. I asked them to cut a large pie into smaller slices and they did it no problem. One guy walked by later and asked how we all were doing. There was 7 of us. Fountain drinks and a few bottled drinks available. Seating gets crowded so be patient. Ambiance is a chill vibe and it's bright and clean throughout. I do recommend trying his place out! I have had family in town and have a season to pass to Universal and wound up going to Universal three times this week and was pleasantly surprised to find this place when strolling past one after noon. The pizza was so good the first time that I actually went back two more times the same week and tried two other slices. Cheese slice was excellent, the Sicilian with the pepperoni and sausage was amazing and the Hawaiian was very good too! I think it's a great value for the location.. and compared to a slice of pizza inside the park it's an amazing deal. If you have your season pass you can get your little discount. . So we got a NY style cheese pizza and it was great! My little one had 2 slices and wanted more (which never happens). It took about 20 minutes for it to be ready. Good amount of sitting and had a bough space for our stroller wagon. My only disappointment was that I was interested in the bbq pizza without the pineapple and I was told best they could do was make the pizza and I pick off the pineapple. I chose the Motörhead pizza slice as it seemed to be a unique slice. The style is Detroit style (thick). The pizza slice was EXTREMELY filling and from the sauce to the cheese everything tasted great quality. The smear of tomato sauce on top helped cut and enhance the cheese and bacon on the slice. Tried this spot out here after a quick trip to Universal. It was conveniently accessible and has an area inside to eat and a to go section. They have pizza by the slice or as a whole and pastas as well. We ordered the classic pepperoni since its on foccacia bread which is thick crust/flatbread which is my favorite! First off, this might be one of the if not the best slice of pizza I've had. Now I was a little torn on the rating, it really has to hit on every level to be a 5 star to me, but in the end, the value was there and I settled on a 5. Slices run about 10 to 12 bucks, which seems kinda pricey but hear me out, You're in city walk or going into universal studios. You won't find a lunch or dinner for this value and/or quality. As good as this pizza was 10 to 12 is actually a decent deal now a days, not even considering what everything else is going to cost you while you're here. You actually get a decent discount on 2 or more slices, Whole pizzas will run you 30-50. Haven't run through the while gambit of pizzas here yet but I eventually will. Our favorite so far is the Hot Mario. The flavor is just on point, the spiciness with a hint of sweetness in every bit just hits the spot. My girl won't even let me split one with her, she wants her slice all to herself. The lines might look long but they move pretty fast, refillable fountain drinks. One little draw back is the seating area is a little small for as much traffic they generate. You can always take the pizza to go and find some general seating else ware. Fantastic Pizza, I will get a slice every time I'm in the area, even if I'm not hungry I'll grab one to go. read more

Came here for lunch and for a break from Universal. We liked that they offered pizza by the slice so we could all pick what we wanted. We tried a few different slices including the deep dish. I tried the veggie pizza which was mostly just different bell peppers and a handful of olives. Overall the pizza is good if you want something quick but the prices were kind of high for a slice. I wish I would've known about the annual pass holder discount maybe that would've made a difference. I will say service was friendly and they moved quickly even while busy. read more

Yay! First review of this place :) I'm so happy this pizza spot came to Citywalk! We came in today on their 1st day open and they were very busy. It took a bit to snag a table but what do you expect for their first day? We got 3 slices, all 3 were delicious! The two Detroit pizzas were the Gino (basically a margherita pizza) and the Traditional. My husband got the NY slice with jalapeños. I am usually a big fan of the standard pepperoni and sausage, but the Gino was delicious!
