We almost left to find the other Burbank location so we could order beer but Vahan convinced us to stay. We had a delightful conversation with him. A pretty cool Dog Haus! Located across from Warner Bros Studios on Olive Avenue and the corner of Kenwood Street this cool modern meets rustic New American style eatery is one of the best in the collection with a wide range of hot dogs and burgers in various forms, including sliders. They have loads of vegetarian options and just about any of them can be made vegan. Their default bread/buns are the King Hawaiian rolls which are vegetarian, made with rich sugar, butter and eggs. I don't eat at D.H. locations often so I sometimes forget O.o Came in with my boyfriend before a screening at Warner Bros ironically enough and we had a nice pre-movie meal. Their Beyond Brat and SoCal Veggie (hold the aioli for me) are my go-tos for sure, but definitely thinking about an Haus Burger next time as they have impossible. From classic dogs, burgers, tenders, wings, nuggets and sandwiches to plant-based and easily modifiable options D.H. has a good variety. All items are individual so if you want more of a meal you'll have to purchase more. What I didn't know is that the Burbank location actually is priced more reasonable than their neighboring locations in North Hollywood, Northridge, Dog Haus Biergarten in the more northern part of Burbank on the cusp of Sun Valley and Larchmont/Hollywood. I would assume being a chain all the prices are relatively the same, but they actually have the best deals by a couple dollars to cents. I haven't had their impossible nuggets or tenders at this location but will absolutely be tending to those for next time. Everything is well made, the service is excellent, and the entire layout feels inviting. They have gender neutral restrooms, all very clean. Indoor or outdoor seating available. Canned or bottles beverages to grab, not to mention classic fountain style soda/soft drink/tea/lemonade dispenser. You can enjoy music and the latest on goings on their flat screen in the main dining area. There's free Wi-Fi, beer & wine available + their pup friendly, which is always a win in my book. It's somewhat limited seating, but a variety of it from higher tables to lower sit down style. Definitely a fan of this fast casual style chain and location, but do wish they have some dairy and egg free bread/roll nom-options. They have no gluten free bun options as well, so maybe a vegan friendly gluten free option would be the way to go in the future ;) You can get a lettuce wrapped burger, sandwich, sausage or dog and I highly recommend it for their burgers, pretty interesting with their links. Additional they serve breakfast in the forms of burritos, so it might be possible to do it this way as well (with a tortilla). Parking lot is easy, though not very big, and even when full there's street/residential parking close by. We got one of the very first spots, which is a swell way to get off to a great start at this German inspired all American Haus of eats. read more

I stopped by this Dog Haus last night because I placed an online order thinking it was for the other Dog Haua location near Burbank Airport. I ordered the Dog Haus Cheeseburger with Hawaiian rolls and fries. When I went to the location on Hollywood Way, they told me that I likely placed the other at the Olive location because they couldn't find the order. They said it happens a lot because of the way the website is. I called this location first to see if I can cancel my order since it was still easly but they said they don't do online order refund here. So I drove there because they were about to close in 1 hour. I arrived 10 minutes before they close and parked on the street. This location has its own private parking lot if you come during the day and it's not busyl. The staff were very nice and had my food ready. The place is medium size inside and they have outdoor seating as well. The cheeseburger was good and I thought the fries were alright. read more

My husband was craving Dog Haus again and wanted to give their breakfast burritos a try. We returned to this location since we were running some errands in Burbank. We chose the Fonz and Cajun BABBs with Onion Rings to share. We were pleasantly surprised at how substantial they were. The 3 sunny side up eggs in each one made each bite deliciously saucy. My husband really enjoyed the spicy sausage in his. The combination of the pastrami and sausage in mine was so flavorful. The onion rings were perfect. Had been here several times in the past. Stopped by after some medical testing. My vision was blurry and asked for some assistance with the menu. The young lady was kind and attempted to be helpful but I believed to be new. Didn't know what sauerkraut was. They had lost their liquor license so no beer with my bratwurst . I ordered tots on the side. The brat was ok. The tots were bitter like the oil they were cooked in had been burned. There were maybe 4 customers. The service was slow and the TV was loud. Has the ownership changed? Number one a brat house should definitely serve beer. Number two check your tots and fries they were inedible. read more

BEWARE! GET YOUR RECEIPT! I went there today with my family of 5. We got our Oder and one item was missing. We still haven't got the item when we were more than half way finished. We couldn't be any more patient, so we ended up walking to the counter. The same guy who took our order was there. When we said we haven't received our item, the first thing he said was I didn't hear you. Then he proceeded to go to the register to charge us and said he'll make it fast. We told him at this point there's no point because everyone was already done with their meal. He said he can't do nothing about it so we asked for our receipt. He then asks us when did we order our food? This is the same guy who took our order and there was about 2 customers in the restaurant?! He then looks for the receipt and tells us he has to make us the food cuz he can't give our refund. We told him no because it's pointless then he decided to look for the receipt. He 'finds' it and says 'oh, I forgot to give you your food' this whole time I'm sure he knew he made a mistake but he decided to lie about it by saying right away he didn't hear us, then he said he can't refund us. He ended giving us the refund but this literally ruined our day. It's been awhile we've been here and wanted to same experience we had in the past. I don't think I'll want to support a business that does not owe up to their mistake. Point is, thank God we went and asked for the receipt. We did the calculation mentally and didn't add up. Took a buddy (and his dog) to the Dog Haus location in Burbank and we went all in--two "Ringers" with extra beef patties, a side of tots, a big ol' can of PBR for him, and an iced tea for me. Gotta say, the food was on point. Burgers were juicy, flavorful, and leaned on the sweeter side thanks to the King's Hawaiian rolls. Tots were crispy and satisfying--perfect sidekick to the main event. Only downside? The bill. Just under $50 for two people makes this more of a treat-yourself kind of visit than a regular go-to. The server was very sweet and helped us decide what to get. The names for the food are pretty funny, my friend got the "Mutha Clucka" chicken sandwich. The food was prepared in a timely manner and everything was delicious. The items we got were so big we could have easily shared a meal. My friend and I went here after the WB tour and I gotta tell you, this place hit the spot. The girl at the register told us what she liked and we based our decision of her recommendation. Thanks to an appealing sign and a love for hot dogs, my wife and I pulled into this Dog Haus location a few weeks back and dug in on some food. This place had a decent sized parking lot and a ton of seating for people inside, which was nice. We placed our orders at the counter which (for me) included the Cowboy hotdog, as well as some french fries and onion rings we split between the two of us. The food took a pretty average amount of time to get made, maybe 6-10 minutes and we were grabbing a tray from the counter. The food itself was some top notch fast food style grub. The cowboy hotdog was a hotdog with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce and it was really good. The hotdog itself had great flavour so when you mixed all the other stuff on top of it, it was a fantastic hot dog. The french fries were solid enough, pretty standard burger and hot dog place french fries, while the onion rings were my favourite kind, beer battered, soft and delicious. Overall, Dog Haus left a good impression on me and was full of pretty good food. The place itself was fine, the staff was fine, and that's good enough for me to be a returning customer in the future. read more

The food was great. I'd never heard of eating hotdogs and burgers on Hawaiian rolls instead of buns, but it's good and this is the only restaurant that does that. I had a corndog because I'd never heard of root beer batter, and it was good. My main meal though were the sliders, though I forget if I got beef or a veggie patty. Either way--they were great. I've never really liked onions, but I loved the caramelised onions on their sliders. The decor was very rustic and industrial, which I enjoy as it reminds me of a city near my hometown, as well as of my brother. The parking bumpers said "Prepare for the Würst" on them and I thought that was really cool. Honestly, we checked this place out specifically because the name stood out, and I'm glad we did. The service was nothing special, but that's not a bad thing. They weren't rude, they got my order correct, and I got my food in a very normal amount of time. I speak for a lot of people when I say that's all that really matters, because I'm there for the food and the vibe of the restaurant, not to have my ego stroked. The only bad thing was that a section of their menu was dedicated to treats like ice creme and milkshakes, but when we tried to get some the woman at the counter said they didn't do that anymore. Went here for national hot dog day as you were able to get a free hot. The hot dogs were so big and they tasted great. I also really enjoyed the toasted bun. The old town hot dog was very spicy! Didn't realize they had a vast menu with hot dogs, sliders, sandwiches, etc. Great options! I went with the old town dog with pickled jalapenos, grilled onions, chipotle aioli, and cotija cheese.
