Ordered a milkshake and skinny fries. Both were not good. Milkshake was both sweet and watery. Not the nice, thick shake you crave. The skinny fries were bland and unseasoned. Cost me $14 for these both and they sucked. Also, the women running the place on Saturday night had massive attitude to boot from the get go. It was clear they don't like working there. This location is in a little mini mall with easy and free parking, just off Ventura Boulevard. It's very clean and my large Fatburger was very juicy, fresh and delicious. There's a lot of seating inside which makes it feel just a little cramped if you dine in, but there are large windows which make it feel more airy and I found a nice table right by the window. There was a line of about 5 people waiting, but my order was fast. Pleasant service and you order from a window inside. This location also has their Buffalo's Express chicken, but I haven't tried that yet. read more

Came here on Saturday night hoping that this location would be better than the Van Nuys location. I was wrong. They equally suck. Many many years ago, Fatburger was one of my favorite burger joints. I don't know what happened but the meat is simply not good. It was overly salty. There was some much mustard in the burger, I couldn't taste anything other than salt and mustard. However, the service was good and the ingredients were fresh. It's just the meat I didn't care for at all. I must say, though, there burgers are quite large and they use all the ingredients I typically like in my burgers. Their fries with seasoning salt are also not bad. The cashier was really nice, and the service was good. However, after eating the King burger with egg and some fries, been up all night sick. I hate to blame them without proof, but this was the only thing that could have made me sick. So I'm just warning everyone incase there's something wrong recently. Been to many Fatburgers in my life and this location is not one of the better Fatburgers. Being in a prime location you would think that everything is going to be on point. I am always in the mood for a good burger and Fatburger definitely fulfilled my burger craving! The outside had a couple of homeless people that were quite aggressive but the staff was amazing. This was my first time here so after reviewing the menu and asking questions, I decided to go with the regular burger and skinny fries. The burger was pretty big, I believe 1/3 lb of beef which I assume is average size for a burger. They did have one smaller size as well. The burger was fresh but it I felt like the patty could have more seasoning. I added jalapeños to my burger which added a nice kick to the relish that was already on the burger. I came here on a date, we were comparing milkshakes vegan milkshakes. I chose Sun Café chocolate milkshake, and my friend chose chocolate milkshake at fat burgers, a block and a half away. The winner had to pay for dinner. Lost lost, I cannot believe Fatburger has a vegan milkshake that is out of this world. The service here was so nice. The young ladies that are serving the food were professional kind, and courteous. The restrooms were clean and the patrons were very nice. The plan for dinner was to order online and pick up on the way home. I decided to take advantage of the 420 offer that was only available with online ordering. I'm their words, it was an OG Fat for $4.20. I also added extras as I was breaking my 24 hour fast. I ordered the Skinny combo with diet Pepsi and a side of onion rings for an up charge of $1 to change from fries. I added a second 420 with the wheat bun. I paid for the order at 4:16 pm, text and email confirmations were received. I drove to the Studio City location to get my dinner. Heads up, the parking lot is tiny. There is metered street parking and also two hidden spaces by the dumpster behind the building. I walked into an empty dining room. I checked in and was given my cup to dispense my drink from the Pepsi soda fountain. It took about 25-30 minutes for the order to be completed. I took my bag of food that includes ketchup packets and napkins. The aroma of hamburgers and onion rings filled the cabin of the car as I drove home. I was getting hungry as I drove down the 101 freeway. I got home and sampled the onion rings. These might be a little crunchier if you eat your food in the dining room. The first burger I ate was the OG wheat. The bun was somewhat drier that I thought. There was a lot of mustard, pickle, and onion flavor in each bite. I had to try the other OG on white. This bun was much better and softer. Sorry, no review on the Skinny burger as it's being saved for tomorrow's dinner. Oops, according to the receipt there is no Skinny, it's another OG Fat. Aww. Wow! No gloves when working with food or washing hands. Just seen a lady working here touch the computer and cords and touch Hamburger buns and all the appliances never once washed my hands. While making food! Unacceptable especially when the coronavirus is a growing rapid. Now here in Los Angeles. Besides that point. They made me wait until all the burgers ordered before me were complete and in the meantime the fries grew cold and they tossed them back into the deep fryer. Now I'm cooking myself something at 2am because I had to throw my fries out since they were inedible. Had a really nice experience at this joint this week. After the Sherman Oaks location continuously messed up orders wasting a lot of my time and energy, I basically stopped ordering... But this week had a craving for the impossible burger they make so called the Studio City location, the phone was answered immediately by someone very polite (a gal, mid 20's) and they carefully reviewed my order; when I came in they literally stopped what they were doing with people who just walked in the door to allow me to pay for the order that I had done over the phone - VERY classy, nice touch honoring the fact that I've already taken the time and energy to place my order. They were so considerate and the place was so clean and well run, I ended up tipping a very large fat tip and walked out vowing to make this my new go to. Fat burger was an excellent place to have within walking distance of my hotel while traveling. We tried several items on the menu, and they were all very delicious. We had the chicken wings in Lemon pepper, buffalo, and a bourbon bbq. All flavors outdid them selves. The only thing I can say about the wings was that 2 orders we got were completely different sizes of wings. We got 1 good sized batch and one small sized batch. The burgers were good and juicy. One thing about living in SoCal is there are some great classic burger chains. Fatburger is an infamous one. Heck it is mentioned in songs about Cali. This had to be one of the best burgers o have had especially from a chain. The seasoning was spot on. Patty was prepped and cooked just right. Juicy, hanging out of the bun. Always a plus when you have more meat than bun - am I right ? Lettuce and tomatoes were chilled and the burger was hot with melty cheese. Really good. My fat fries were also freshly cooked. No heating basket for me. The staff was also super friendly. A wall of photos for the customers who devoured the XXL burger is there to gawk at while you food is being made. Now one thing... this corner can get interesting especially at night. Security guard on duty. Parking lot is little grimy and small but come in for the food. The restaurant is decent size - divey. Not sure if it's the flavorless chicken or the loosely applied buffalo sauce, but wouldn't go out of my way to return. Not a fan of the buffalo sauce either. Fries were not that great either (also flavorless--had to pour salt on them) -- had better at McDonalds and In-N-Out. Not really much to say besides that it's a solid burger. Can definitely get messy, but you're going to get a bang for your buck. I would note that the area has some character, especially late at night, so just something to be aware of when you're on a late night escapade. Just use common sense, as you would anywhere really.
