Feeling the need for some cozy comfort, we decided to satisfy our cravings for chili and made our way to Dog Haüs for a delicious feast. The atmosphere was pleasantly relaxed, with just the right amount of buzz, making it feel inviting rather than crowded. We were quickly greeted, with our order taken in no time. I just stopped in for a breakfast burrito after passing this place many times and I specifically asked for scrambled egg/ in my bacon burrito. Bacon was super crunchy but overall the flavor wasn't there even in the slightest. Not sure if they're using warm up scrambled egg patties or what but my scrambled eggs shouldn't be all together. Had them make another one and it seemed to be more scrambled than the first. I ate about half and trashed the rest. Doggone Good! OMG! Dog Haus dogs are delicious, but it seems like they're getting a little smaller. Usually, I go to the Burbank location, but recently I went to the Lankershim one for the first time. It was nice and cool. There's plenty of street parking on Morrison as well as parking in the back. Since there was only one person in line, I was taken care of quickly by a friendly woman. Once I ordered, she gave me a number to bring to any table I wanted to sit at and a glass to fill with water at the beverage station. It wasn't long before an amiable guy delivered my Cowboy - a smoked, bacon wrapped dog with cheese sauce, crispy onions and BBQ sauce on a sweet Kings Hawaiian role for $8.99. It just didn't look as chubby as it used to, but I could be wrong. It was messy and yummy like all of the Dog Haus dogs I've tried. Kudos for serving hormone and antibiotic free beef dogs! First of all, we only chose this place because they're supposed to accept In Kind as payment. we get there, try to pay, and they say they don't accept it. so the entire purpose of going there was immediately defeated. we try to make the best of it and pay $48 for two hot dogs and two beers -- really expensive. we sat there on a thursday night and we were the only customers dining in. i instantly could tell why. the seating was SO UNCOMFORTABLE- hard little stools with no backs to them. plus, the lighting was a harsh white LED light and the art was really corny. They need to work on their vibe and seating to draw more customers in. Interior just looked sterile. On top of all that, I found a hair in my hot dog. They quickly swapped it for a new one, but didn't offer anything above just swapping it out for the inconvenience. Also, beware that the meatless option is for some unexplained reason like half the size of the regular hot dog. They don't put that on the menu anywhere. read more

I have been to the location in Thousand Oaks more, but this location is clean and it's quick and efficient when you walk-in to place a takeout order. I particularly like their sliders and and order of tater tots. Their tots are crispy but not overly greasy. I recently tried their Sooo Cali dog and I was surprised it was flat in taste. Bland. I'm a fan of Dog Haus! I've enjoyed everything that I've ordered here. I'm particularly a fan of the chili dogs with fries. You samtand in line and order at the counter, then find a place to sit. They have a good selection of beers and sodas to drink. There are a variety of options for hot dogs and burgers and, as I said, they are all good (at least the ones I've tried). The staff here is super friendly and helpful, and always does a good job. The food is always prepared well. So what brings it down from five to four stars? Two things. The first is a big deal, the second is a slight issue, but when you pair it with the first it brings it down. The first issue is parking. They have a TINY lot in the back, and so other than that you're looking for street parking, or parking in a structure. We've wanted to come here for dinner in the past, and turned off because we can't find parking. It's great if you're going to a movie, or doing something else in the arts district, but if your just coming for dinner it turns into a hassle very quickly. The second (less important) reason for the four stars is the prices. The prices are... A little steep. By the time you order everyone's food, sides, and drinks it is just a little more expensive than it feels it should be. But, we really like this place overall. read more

We had our burgers without buns and wrapped in lettuce...holy moly. The staff they have on board also shows us that management is good and it's a well-ran establishment. We ordered the Holy Aioli burger, added a fried egg and made it wrapped in lettuce. Wowsers. Just as gorgeous as I thought it would be. The burger was well-constructed and packaged for a take away order! When we opened it up, heavenly. No sloppy tower of mess to eat. It was PERFECTLY put together. Same thing with The Mensch. Gorgeous, well-constructed burger with pastrami which was also wrapped in lettuce. This also came out perfect and did not require a fork and knife to eat it. That's crazy for this type of business. That said, holy smokes does this place have great food! Corner Cottage in Burbank has some competition for breakfast burritos. This place has become complete trash. I remember when it opened and how good the food was and how great the service was. Then slowly over time the owners got greedy and started charging for every little thing, including a miniscule serving of ranch dressing on the side! That was the first step down a slippery slope to what will inevitably be the closure of this ridiculous dump. For at least the past 5 years, no one answers the phone. Not ever. Not during business hours -- not EVER. Then when you attempt to physically go into Dog Haus, they are always closed, or closing. Never according to the hours posted online, never according to anything that makes sense as far as a food business that should be open at least until 8:00 p.m. The employees are always cleaning and closing no matter what time you go there: 4:00 p.m., 5:15pm, 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m. You could go to Vegas and bet a large sum of money that anytime you try to walk into Dog Haus, it is "closed" and the lights are always dark. Chairs are up on the table and the employees are very happy to tell you that they are closed. I wonder if the owners know that the employees maintain zero hours of operation at this location. Whatever this restaurant was, it is no more. We will no longer even attempt to eat here. There are so many places in North Hollywood that are open for business and have employees who actually treat people as if they are happy that there are customers. How is this place even still open? I hope the owners know that the employees are doing whatever they want and turning away people at all hours of the day. Asinine laziness and incompetence run rampant here. Dog Haus is supposed to be open until 9:00pm, but it seems as if the employees want the restaurant to be permanently closed. Their wish just may come true. read more
