My experience was great with the guy a the front counter that made my day by treating me and my family he was so nice and happy I hope he has a great week, the burrito that he made for me was LITERALLY the best burrito I've ever ha.

The dog haus had a great menu and the atmosphere here is a very chill vibe. The fries are delicious and very crunchy didn't even need ketchup for them. The burger comes on 4 Hawaiian rolls. The chicken tenders are seasoned well but they could to be a little more crispy. Overall I'd come back to try a different burger combo and one of their hot dogs.

Came with the family party of 4. It' got really expensive not so friendly. We got no welcoming. Guess it might be the problem with kiosk now. We waited 25 min for two of our items. Then another ten min for my order. We were still waiting for a side of fries and a burrito which came 5 min later. Their soda options were not good at the soda fountain and the syrup was low. Only good thing is that's its dog Haus and the food is still good. Though we will never come to this location again.

First burrito I received. One and done for me. Won't be back.

I just stopped in for a breakfast burrito after passing this place many times and I specifically asked for scrambled egg/ in my bacon burrito. Bacon was super crunchy but overall the flavor wasn't there even in the slightest. Not sure if they're using warm up scrambled egg patties or what but my scrambled eggs shouldn't be all together. Had them make another one and it seemed to be more scrambled than the first. I ate about half and trashed the rest. This place has a good chicken sandwich and burger sliders but the bfast burritos aren't it.

Food was so good. The kinda good that's hard to put down while ur eating it. Chicken was tender and seasoned really well and very unique flavors. To many sauce choices which was great. The staff super friendly , everything was clean. I wish I saw more pictures of the food ... sorta felt overwhelmed with the choices but they had a special with a picture of it and so I chose that and it ended up being amazing. I want to come back and actually try the hots dogs Btw the monster in the pic is actually sparkling water ... which was also super unique and good

This place was an unexpected surprise. I had a bratwurst with sauerkraut. Quite good and a fair price. About $10. I ate around 9 pm on a weeknight. Not crowded. Fast service. Nice interior. Really highly recommend.

Doggone Good! OMG! Dog Haus dogs are delicious, but it seems like they're getting a little smaller. Usually, I go to the Burbank location, but recently I went to the Lankershim one for the first time. It was nice and cool. There's plenty of street parking on Morrison as well as parking in the back. Since there was only one person in line, I was taken care of quickly by a friendly woman. Once I ordered, she gave me a number to bring to any table I wanted to sit at and a glass to fill with water at the beverage station. It wasn't long before an amiable guy delivered my Cowboy - a smoked, bacon wrapped dog with cheese sauce, crispy onions and BBQ sauce on a sweet Kings Hawaiian role for $8.99. It just didn't look as chubby as it used to, but I could be wrong. It was messy and yummy like all of the Dog Haus dogs I've tried. Kudos for serving hormone and antibiotic free beef dogs! Hot diggity dog, I'll be back!

First timer and the loved the unique hot dog options on the menu! The food was surprisingly really good considering all of the different toppings you would never think to put on a hot dog. Fries and tots were pretty average but overall would definitely return. The aioli sauce is to die for!!

    Closed location

This location is closed permanently. It went downhill fast in quality and service. So sad and yet when you email corporate office the lady doesn't respond back to you

    Store closed early

Closed over an hour early with employees standing at the door doing nothing and wouldn't answer the phone when called at 8:30

Was here at 9pm and they are already closed. Signs 11am-10pm on door, website, google maps, yelp etc

The people who work here: all kind and helpful and on top of their stuff. This place gets really packed sometimes but even in the chaos, when customers are rude and drunk and break things they keep their cool, always. But don't treat them poorly. I will come for you. Chard is the GM and he is one of the kindest and most generous humans I have had the pleasure of know and is the mastermind behind getting the themed nights up and going. His ability to make a person feel welcome is pretty much unmatched in my opinion. The food: omg you guys the FOOD!!!! It's so good. They just changed the menu so I haven't gotten to try everything yet but the chicken dumplings are delicious. A bit of a kick but the best kind. The chili cheese fries that my friend had were also so good. Perfect cheese to chili ratio with the fries. There is a chef in the back who is passionate about food and making sure it tastes perfect so I trust everything is good. But if you are unsure ask the servers or bartenders. They won't steer you wrong. The drinks: admittedly, I mostly drink just screwball on the rocks. However every mixed cocktail I have had here has been perfection. Mark is the manager and he could be a mixologist, should be a mixologist, super nice guy who is shockingly good and remembering peoples drink preferences. Like a year ago was the last time I ordered cider and he remembered! The vibe: I wouldn't really call this place a dive bar, but it's sort of got a hint of dive bar going on. The back patio is really nice during the summer but sitting inside the barrel is fun too. The bulldog is kinda small so you won't fit a ton of people in there but it's still fun. Lots of places to sit although sometimes it does get packed and it's standing room only. Not to mention, they allow dogs!!! This is a great place to come with a first date. It's good for dressing up a little but not too much and there are some corners you can sit in so you can have a little closeness. But the staff will also keep an eye out for you. If you are feeling uncomfortable in any way, they will keep an eye out for you and help you out. There isn't a designated dance floor but they won't be mad if you dance in the area that you've got available to you. Just don't accidentally knock anything over or hit anybody. The music: Chard is usually in charge of the play list but even when he isn't the music is usually pretty great and there's a band that comes and plays on Sundays for a while in the afternoon/evening. I have found some of my new favorite music because of this place. Drag brunch: I've never actually attended because I've heard it gets a little crazy and that can be a little scary overwhelming for me, but they do it everyday Saturday and Sunday and that's been going strong for a pretty long time so I have to assume it's a good time. The themed events: this is the kind of crazy I can handle though. They have done lots of the rings, zelda anniversary, a Star Wars themed singles event for Valentine's Day, a scholastic book fair, and Easter egg hunt, their Halloween and New Year's Eve events were AMAZING, I could go on and on. People turn up for these events and they are just some of the most fun especially with the costumes you will see. Go to Idle Hour. I've never loved a bar before. This place is something else. I promise you won't be disappointed, unless you're one of those kinds of people who finds something wrong no matter how amazing the place is or you're kind of an entitled jerk.

It's a restaurant with an overall speakeasy vibe BUT is not dark and foreboding. Rather, its high ceilings, well spaced out tables, and appropriately lit dining/bar space has a welcoming, cool vibe! And the music to fill the space before the live music was well, my kinda music - vibey 80s/90s hip hop. On top of that, the STAFF - the folks we met on a Monday (senior citizen hour) night were incredibly kind and attentive. We did stay through the first set of musicians that performed and it was great. Loud, but not loud enough that me and my friend couldn't still talk. Now onto the food. A nice surprise, considering this is a music joint! That bread was solid. The side portions decent - mushrooms and broccoli were fine. The steak was a generous size, cooked appropriately medium rare, and came with a unique side of bone marrow salsa. That was a nice, interesting touch. Was it the BEST food I've ever had? Not exactly, BUT it was the best food as part of a music joint, in the Valley. So the 5 star rating is really for the OVERALL experience.

**TL;DR: Great food, but terrible seating layout and "VIP" policy ruins the experience**…read more We booked a reservation well in advance and explicitly selected the main dining room, looking forward to the live music experience Verse is known for. Instead, we were placed to the right of the stage in a row of three 2-person tables (which they still consider the "main dining room"). For a venue centered around a performance, this layout makes zero sense: You only see the backs and profiles of the band, and the tables are positioned so that one person literally has their back to the stage the entire night. It felt like a second-class experience that completely missed the mark on value. Seeing three empty tables with proper views, we asked the hostess if we could move. We were told no because they were "completely booked and reserved for VIPs." Some time later, a manager came by to say that one of the VIPs hadn't showed up so a table was now available (the VIP by the way was an off-duty worker there). We didn't end up moving; the whole interaction left us with really mixed, sour feelings. It's incredibly frustrating to know regular paying customers who book ahead are treated as second-tier while prime tables sit empty for no-show "VIPs." Valet is $15 by the way. Due to the subpar experience and being stuck in a corner, I just couldn't in good conscience order the way I typically do, which usually includes multiple appetizers, several pasta and main dishes, dessert, and a great bottle of wine or champagne. Instead, we heavily scaled back our meal. As for what we did try, the kitchen has real highlights but a few misses. We started with the Peruvian scallops (5 to an order), served cold, ceviche-style, which had good flavor. For mains, the lobster tagliatelle was excellent. However, the mushroom linguini fell short; the pasta was far too tough and needed a couple more minutes of cooking, and it was oversaturated with a mornay sauce that completely overpowered the dish. To drink, the rosé was crisp and fresh. Overall, while some of the food is excellent, the poor floor layout and frustrating seating policies made this an extremely disappointing experience that wasn't worth the premium price.

It takes place mostly in their rear patio area and parking lot, but a good number of vendors were also in an adjacent air conditioned event room. They have a very small parking lot, but it was occupied by vendors during this event. Do not park in the parking lots of the adjacent businesses, as we were warned when entering the Tonga Hut that cars get towed regularly. There's plenty of street parking in the nearby neighborhood. Entering from the rear, there is a good sized covered patio with around eight benches. We went inside to check it out and grab a drink. The interior is fairly small with four good sized booths, a lounge area with a large J-shaped couch with several small tables, and around ten seats at the bar. It is dimly lit with some basic tiki décor, and has an old-school feel. They had a fixed cocktail menu for this event which is understandable. We stood in line at the bar for about ten minutes, got our drinks and went out to the patio. The bartender was friendly, and didn't seem flustered by the high volume of patrons. She had the Leprechaun Grog (Three Rums, Lime, Grapefruit, Honey, Spice, Soda, $14). Both drinks were good, were served in souvenir plastic cups, and were a bargain at $13 to $14. If you ordered a drink containing Oceanus whiskey, the bartender gave you a gold coin and you could exchange it with the Oceanus representative on the patio for a free T-shirt. Durango Tacos was setup near the rear entrance for food. We had four tacos (two carne asada and two veggie), and they were good and reasonably priced. This was the first tiki marketplace we have attended. There were around twenty vendors with a good assortment of art work, tiki mugs, tiki clothing, tiki décor, and other miscellaneous items. I purchased a few nice tiki shirts which were a steal at $20 and $25. The vendors and visitors were all very friendly and in a festive mood. We hung out for about ninety minutes and had a good time. We will return at some point to try their regular cocktail menu and see what it's like on a non-event night.

Tonga hut is my favorite local tiki bar, but it is such a hit or miss when I go!…read more On a weekend, you could easily walk in with no problem or be hit with a one-hour wait. Sometimes they have servers, other times you order at the bar. The last time I went, there was a long line as only one bartender was making drinks, yikes! Despite that, the drinks are solid, reasonably priced, and strong! They have a variety of drinks and nightly specials. Each bartender also has their own "secret menu" specials that only they can make. The decor is very on theme, and they have a fire pit and heaters outside for when it is chilly.

Echoing what everyone else has been saying - the service is SO slow. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to order our second drink and our water glasses were empty. They have so many runners bringing the drinks out but only a few servers and, from the looks of it, one bartender (on a Saturday night - what?!). The server was saying he was trying to find a manager to help out but they were nowhere to be found. Clearly management is fine with these service times since they're still making $$$. The drinks were delicious, and I loved that there were heaters on the patio (though they did get very hot at times). Our server was so kind and brought us a celebratory drink. I do wish there were more explanations with the beverages, especially for the Paid Vacation as most people will not realize you're supposed to bite into the buzz button for the tingly sensation. I would come back, but need some time for my wallet to recover first, haha!

Ya'll, this here is a gem! You go in and there's none of that pretentious bs. Don't got to worry…read moreabout others judging you. Everyone is literally there to have a good time, doing their own thing. Like I want to say, this is a safe place (?) I don't think I've ever used those words to describe a bar before! There's an entire wall of board games for you to choose from. We played about 3 or 4 games? And each one had all the pieces, amazingly! This just goes to show you that the people that visit this establishment respect and care for the games, which is a reflection on the clientele itself. And of course, you're welcome to bring your own game as well. We got there a bit after opening so we were able to get one of the multi seater tables. When we left at 3PM, the place was packed! The bar seats were all taken and the outside seating was pretty filled too. So be sure to get here early if you're looking for a table. Got an order of the chicken tenders and sweet potato tots. The chicken tenders was alright. But the sweet potato tots were delicious! We also ordered drinks. The food didn't take long and the staff was friendly. Parking is strictly street parking. So don't go parking at the KFC lot next door. Honestly, this place is great! Check it out if you're looking for a spot to chill and hang out! Good people and good vibes all around!
