Very disappointed in this place. It looked so cute but looks are deceiving. The server was definitely interesting. She was a little short but I think she was trying to be funny at times. Not sure, it didn't come off that way. We got a garlic bread appetizer, I got the caprese salad for an entree, and my daughter ordered the pesto pasta with the minestrone soup as a side instead of the salad. The garlic bread was good. My caprese salad was sparse for $11. Usually when I order this it's layers of big slices of tomato with full circles of mozzarella and a basil leaf on each layer to create a balanced bite. This was not the case here it was 4 half slices of mozzarella, tiny slices of tomato that weren't quite as big as the half slices of mozzarella, and full leaves of basil. The minestrone soup was almost all mushy vegetables with no beans or pasta, and almost not broth. When my daughter went to order the pesto pasta she asked if it was basil pesto or sun dried tomato pesto (the menu mentioned sun-dried tomatoes in the dish and not any mention of basil). The waitress said she didn't know, I asked her if it was green or red and we determined it was green so it must be basil pesto. The sauce was dense so it was more of a clump on top of the pasta instead of a sauce that spread over and coated the pasta. The mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and onions were chopped very large for a pasta dish. The sauce was also in desperate need of salt. I got a glass of the house Chianti which had obviously been open too long because it tasted like vinegar. My daughter got a sprite which was never refilled. I finished my dish quickly since it was basically just two slices of mozzarella and one small tomato. My daughter was barely halfway through her dinner when the waitress came over and offered us the dessert menu, it felt like we were being rushed out. A minute after she dropped off the dessert menu she came back to see what we wanted. My daughter was annoyed because she was still eating her dinner. When we turned down dessert the waitress asked if my daughter wanted a box. When she said no the waitress made comment which might have been an attempt at a joke, that my daughter must think their food is sh!+. I mean it wasn't good but making that comment to my daughter was made her very uncomfortable. We would not go back to this place. Nothing was redeemable about it, the service and the food was awful. read more

When I said I didn't want a box for my food, she commented that I must think their food is "shit". It's a cute place. Went here for graduation dinner from Ft Collins. Quaint little spot that doesn't look like much. Don't expect the food here to be like a chain restaurant. They make each dish to order. I've had a lot of Italian but this food was so so good. All 8 of us were talking about how much we all like our meals. Our service was great. The manager came by to see us. The food is good. The people that seat you aren't overly bubbly or friendly, but there is always a seat to be had. The pepperoni rolls are amazing. The pizzas have good flavor, but the crust gets soggy towards the center; I forgot about that twice so next time I'll get something different. I've had the chicken fettuccini which is great so that will be it. The Tiramisu had an odd flavor compared to what I've had before at other places, will try something different next trip. I'm glad they are surviving the assinine roundabout construction project which wreaked havoc on so many businesses there. read more

This was a classic 3.5 star experience to me, but I'll round to 4 since service was friendly and fairly prompt. We split the green and red cheese pesto bread to start. It was a little overdone but was ok. Probably wouldn't get again though. Nothing special, aside from how it sounded on the menu. Had I known that the Caesar salad, for $2 more than the house salad, was twice as big, I would've gotten that one. Mine ended up being enough food and tasted fine. Plus, free little breadsticks that accompany them. My wife's pesto pasta was better than my chicken Marsala. She liked hers and thought she'd get it again. Mine, probably not. I've never had a Marsala with one big breast rather than multiple smaller, thin-sliced cutlets. It was cooked fine but could've used more Marsala gravy. First time to ever have potatoes instead of pasta for a side as well, which seemed a bit strange. Finally, the side veggies were uneven. Carrots were undercooked and hard, while the whole batch of vegetables were too salty. Guessing my wife would give this a 4-5, while it's probably a 3 for me. I'm not sure if Greeley has better options to offer, but we'll likely look for them next time we're in town. read more

First time visit because of the gluten free lasagna..which they ended up not having. Went at 3 pm on a rainy Sunday. I sat by the window which was nice and clean to look out of, but the window ledges need cleaning. The simple decor was cute but if you looked up at the ceiling tiles you would see mismatched or damaged tiles. The painting along edges was sloppy. The carpet definitely needed vaccuuming and it was definitely not just a one-day debris. Not food, more the usual stuff that gets tracked in over several days. I was really shocked to see that the cutlery was not shiny but dulled by water residue buildup. I started with a cup of Minestrone soup which was delish. I ordered the "Best of Both Worlds" which was described as "chicken breast baked with cheese, atop a bed of fettuccini alfredo with a dollop of marinara". What I got was gf penne pasta and no cheese on the chicken. The chicken was over cooked, but the sauce was great. I was offered some parmesan cheese, so I asked if it was real parmesan or the gross cellulose stuff. I was expecting some shaved real parmesan cheese, but it was the fake stuff so I declined. I intentionally ate only half the serving so that I had room leftover for dessert. I ordered some decaf coffee which the server was more than happy to brew a fresh pot of. I then ordered the gf walnut torte and was served but had to wait 8 more minutes for the decaf coffee. The combo of the torte and the coffee was good but there were coffee grounds in the coffee. (I was not given a spoon to stir the half-n-half in.) I was expecting a denser, more chocolate intense flavor from the torte so I know better for next time. I did order the Antipasto salad to take with me and was expecting a full-sized salad but got a small side salad size. I am not totally turned off to the overall experience and will try Pinocchio's again. When telling friends about the experience I was told "what did you really expect from Greeley" which I am sad to say that being a smaller town restaurant doesn't have to mean mediocre service or food. read more

Newly opened restaurant across from UNC's campus. For lunch, I ordered Pinocchio's Signature Carbonara. It came with a garden salad and a warm breadstick. Service was friendly and attentive. Entrée was delicious with perfectly cooked pasta and a rich and creamy sauce with a good contrast of smokey bacon, sweet peas, and garlic. Harvey, the manager and waiter, was wonderful. He shared the story of the restaurant and provided me a slice of tiramisu on the house. I will be back. read more

One of the best Italian dishes I've ever had, I highly recommend the onion and Asiago ravioli. The sauce is to die for and the ravioli are perfectly cooked and pair well with the spicy sausage. The restaurant is well lit and cozy with plenty of room. Only downside was our waiter wasn't the friendliest, but the food and atmosphere were so good that I don't really care. This lil gem was tucked away. Our family had gotten a recommendation from a co-worker who raved about it! We were all pleasantly surprised that we had an Italian places that actually served pasta carbonara Our waitress seemed to be new, because even though we were new and asking questions she didn't quite have answers for us or hadn't tried what we were questioning. It's all good though she was sweet attentive and kind. The food was quite delicious our tastebuds and bellies were very happy. In a town with what seems to be endless Mexican restaurants it was great to find a nice quality Italian restaurant. We had a party of eight and we had no idea what to expect when we arrived. We were seated at a nicely prepped table. We were instantly impressed with the atmospher. Our waiter was terrific and so were all of our meals. They do not officially have a sign, so the restaurant is difficult to find. The parking is right outside on the street, two hours parking. It is a quaint little restaurant, plaid tablecloths cover each table. Each table has a small vase with flowers, and mismatched salt and pepper shakers. Our food was served on all different plates, the mismatched theme is continued. It is a cute concept. The service is friendly and nice. We had a large party, and we felt welcomed. Each of us ordered different items. The appearance and presentation of the food was great. I also ordered a small bowl of minestrone soup. It is homemade and good. Has a zesty kick to it, but lots of veggies. The soup could have been hotter, it was like warm. One person from our party commented on her spaghetti. She said her pasta looked too thin to be spaghetti, she asked if the pasta was homemade. Surprisingly disappointed we were told it is boxed. She cut one of her meatballs in half, it looked like it was probably frozen. It did not appear to be homemade, but we didn't ask. She was disappointed with her meal, since she could easily make this at home. One person ordered the carrot cake with cinnamon ice cream, she said it was delicious. Another person ordered the Kentucky Bourbon cake, she said it was very rich. Overall the food tasted good, and the service was good.
