They are coming up on their 60th anniversary have a week of specials plan for everyone. On Tuesday May 12th many their prices are going to go back to 60 cents. On Wednesday may 13th its back to the fifties celebration with a DJ from Wmmr are here. On Thursday May 14th is my favorite called give back Thursday. They will donate 15 percent of your bill to one of four media charities. Friday is a family night special for $20 not sure what it is but it sounds interesting. Saturday May 15 is Family fun day they celebrate 60 years with free slices of pizza, live music and tons of fun for everyone 12 to 5. i have been a costumer for 40+ years. The pizza is consistenly good and the service for inside seating is also good. However, the service for a takeout order is completely the opposite. I ordered two pizzas for takeout and was told it would take 1 hour for pickup. The order took 1 1/2 hours and I had to wait outside for a half hour. The takeout personnel where both extemely rude on both of my last visits and I could hear them making very disparaging comments about the customers wating for there paid orders . I will not be returning. Perhaps some customer service training would benefit their employees. read more

Yes, the decor is straight out of 1971. Yes, the pizza is maybe slightly above average at its best. But the all you can eat deal is a good one, and they will satisfy anyone who's a beer snob. Basically, this place has been in business for a long time for a reason. Consistently above average beats hit or miss any day of the week. read more

Ended up at Pinocchio's twice in one week the other week so it's time for a review. I always enjoy their food, and I normally am not a pizza person, but I like their pizza, and actually sometimes crave it, so hopefully that is a decent endorsement. I LOVE their milkshakes, which are normally PACKED with ice cream and are worth every penny, and are FAR better than any other takeout place nearby. Pinocchio's has a big menu and they do a lot very well. I had a cheeseburger and fries the other night. The burger was good quality meat and it was a good size. The shoestring fries were tasty and very crisp, but they gave me a tiny handful of them, and I was tempted to give them three stars for that but decided against it due to past history. I hope that lame little handful portion was a mistake because the combo was more than $2 more than similar combos at a lot of nearby places who give a lot more food that is just as good. I grew up in Media and every Media kid has her fair share of Pinocchio's experiences. Back in the 80's they had an ice cream place called Jimminy's where they now have the beer garden. The beer selection there now is wild and very cool. One very big plus is that they are open later than most places, especially their week night hours. I have many times ended up traveling to Pinocchio's late night for takeout since I know they're open, and reliably, they are open for business. read more

Food was okay, kids liked the dough but the waitress we had went missing halfway through dinner. Having 2 young kids we couldn't spend all night waiting for the check or if we needed anything else. After about 20 minutes waiting for the check I went inside to ask for it. I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes and out of the 20 or more wait staff not even one of them acknowledged me. Even the girl who was actively working the counter boxing up orders completely ignored me. Finally we got the attention of the other waitress working outside and we were able to somehow get out of there. It's a shame it seems like a fun place, but it's staff is unreliable. I would give the food 5 stars as well as the servers when we've dined in here. I've always had a good impression of management until today. Not sure if this man is a manager or owner but we had a glimpse today of how he treats employees and it was not pretty. I can't think of any situation when a grown man should be screaming at a young girl working for him over pizza. Apparently he was upset there were not enough delivery drivers working and she had messed up an order. I can't imagine screaming fixed either of these problems. The same guy was super gracious to us on a past visit. Helped move an umbrella on the patio to shade our newborn. It was super sweet. Try to treat your employees the same way you treat your customers. You have a great product but I never want to hear someone being screamed at on the job. We generally love this place. They are great with kids but you can come here with adults only as well. Pizza is generally good with lots of options. The beer selection is also great. They have a variety of specials on the board everyday. I like to get strobolis from pizza places but I usually skip them here. While there is nothing wrong with them, it is not their strong point. The beer garden alone is worth 5 stars! When I first came here I didn't realize they have a whole beer garden in the back with so many selections where you can even build your own 6 packs! Love this place! It's definitely my go to for beer now! Great pizza but who ever answers the phone is very rude and nasty. I have encountered this more then once and it's very upsetting. read more

They have converted some of the parking spaces out front for outdoor dining. The staff were awesome, you can really tell they are glad to be back to work. Big menu, lots of what I suspect is just frozen stuff from restaurant depot or elsewhere. The first time I had the pizza it was subpar. I tried again and it was just as bad. Other things on the menu are pretty decent but nothing stands out here. They stay open during bad weather and are really convenient so that is nice. Life long Pinocchio's patron, usually love the place, but in the last few years, this place really went down hill. Every time I order for pickup, it's never ready on time,rude employees behind the desk and just plain disrespect for customers. Gave them 2 hours before pickup, and it was still not ready. Delivery always takes too long, and they will always forget the 2 liter of soda, ALWAYS. So the big Nor'easter happened last night. Power was out, snow was blowing, wind was howling. At home there was nothing more than 4 cases of sparkling water and some liquor. I braved the weather and walked down Baltimore Ave. No lights were to be seen so I kept walking til I saw the lighted sign of Pinocchio's. Went inside the bar side and to my surprise it was packed with people. The whole wall was a beer fridge with so many options it was mind blowing. One day it'll be my bucket list to try the whole wall but tonight I just needed some comfort from the cold. A Yuengling on tap please! And another... and another... ooooo! Food menu. I took a look at the menu and ordered a white pie. They were running on generators so pizza took about 30minutes which in that time I was able to mingle with the locals. The pie came out piping hot, perfect amount of garlic and spices and washed it down with another cold one. 5 hours later, the power still isn't on but met a few new friends. Staff and patrons go out of the way to talk to you and get your refills. Will definitely be a place to come back to! read more

If I didn't have good experiences here before this would be one star. I'll break this into two parts one part pizza place and the other part beer garden. The beer garden was great when it first opened but I feel after the last 9-10 months they have had the same selection. Every time I'm there. I find myself looking for something different but it's always the same. God forbid you go in there during a peak hour, there is no room and the people hoarding around the counter by the cash register won't give you the space you need to look in the cooler behind them. The restaurant used to have a decent pizza. I remember in college going here on Wednesdays for all you can eat pizza but I don't know what happened between then and now. Me and some friends were hungry so we headed here tonight me and another friend wanted to split a plain upside down pizza. I kid you not they must have cooked the bread and cheese in the oven then dumped sauce on it after. When it was brought to the table the lake of sauce was steaming but was not hot or bubbling which gave me the impression it was added after. Please look at my picture and you will see this massive abundance of sauce just pouring off the pizza after removing a slice. It was a mess. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED : I really can't say enough good things about this place. The pizza is thin cut and big slice style. I've had several different kinds of pizzas here and never have been disappointed. The wait staff is typically friendly, attentive, and helpful. Their hours are probably one of the biggest positives. Friday and Saturday when you come home from a game or need a late night food fix, they usually are open until 12-1. In terms of the beer garden.. I'm not much for going somewhere for simply beer so another review may she more light there. In terms of how late they are open, the amount of options they have, and the quality of the food... I have driven by pinnochios for 2 years and have been planning to come here every time. Finally i did and I wish I had 2 years back so today would have been the 100th time. Anyway I walk in and the place is packed. The wait was about 20 mins. Don't know if they do reservations. We got 2 pizzas "everything pizza" and chicken parm pizza. The chicken parm was absolutely fabulous. It was different "interesting and tasty" are the best adjectives I could come up with. The only thing is if you like salted fries, then I wouldn't order fries here. I can't wait to try their sandwiches. Pinnochio's is definitely worth at least one visit if not more. read more

Love Pinocchio's. Have been customers for years. Have been ordering delivery a lot in the past year. But this Friday and last Friday, the pizzas have been overcooked with brown burnt cheese and crust. Usually this would happen 1X out of 10. Two weeks in a row is too much. Hate burnt pizza. I've been trying to come to Pinnochio's for 2 years and finally made it here today. It was worth the trip from Philly. The pizza is fantastic. We ordered the jumbo cheese pizza, broccoli bites and curly fries followed by a few of their excellent beers from their indoor beer garden. I highly recommend making the mecca out here if you're in Delco. Cheap craft beer, excellent service and lovely food. read more

Ordered online today for dinner. The food arrived in a timely manner, but the TWO instructions I specially needed to be addressed were completely ignored. My entire family was dining out back, and the instructions indicated him to deliver out back, yet he sat up front ringing the bell for 3 minutes (we watched him on our security cameras). The other instruction was to write something inside the pizza box for my wife, which also didn't occur. The guy (Jamie) actually said, "I thought this was an old receipt." Uhhh, the date AND time are at the top of each receipt. Yet here I sit with 5 different pieces of paper that ALL indicated the instructions, and he ignored ALL 5. I've been a patron of pinoc's for over 20 years, a frequent as a teenager of their "all you can eat pizza" special. It used to be the best deal around. It still would be, if they made their pizza the way they used to. I'm a believer in not judging on one, or even two consecutive disappointing experiences. It's clear to me now though that they just don't care about the quality of the pizza they are serving. Barely any cheese, & it's flavorless cheese. Crust is so stale tasting, not that flavorful & doughy crust that it once was. Sauce doesn't have a chance at making up for the other shortcomings. I'll try again here in a couple months, because I'm not ready to give up on them yet. The dining room brings back memories, I'm happy they haven't changed it much in 20 years. read more

This place is not as good as I remember. We haven't been here in years but we had been talking about returning and on Halloween night, we did! It was around 8:00 pm. Our server was very nice. She was polite. Her face was painted for the holiday and she looked cute with her hair and makeup done in the spirit of Halloween. She provided efficient service. It looks like they redid some of the restaurant inside but kept some of the staples. It was nicely decorated for fall/Halloween. There is now an outdoor seating area under a tent. The lights in the tent look pretty harsh. I don't know that I would like it out there. Food: The menu made it sound like they have "famous" mozzarella sticks. So we tried them. They were not good. They were mushy and way too soft. They collapsed as we ate them. Mozzarella sticks are all about the crunchy outside and goody inside. I would never order them again. Cocco's Pizza has WAYYYYY better mozz sticks! The Greek salad was pretty good. Not as good as I remember, but good. Out of the three of us, my Mom enjoyed the pizza. My man and I did not. He HATED the crust. He said it tasted like cheap cafeteria crust. I didn't mind the crust. I thought it was pretty good but I didn't like the pizza sauce. It tasted cheap and commercial to me. My Mom thought it was good because she likes it thin and crispy. She has always compared it to Mack's from Wildwood back in the day. The fries were good in my opinion. They are just plain, regular flat fries. My man did not like them. He thought they had no flavor. They didn't seem to be salted prior to arriving at our table. I did not use the bathroom so I cannot speak in it. I remember it used to be super tiny but they may have changed that. The table had some crumbs on it when we sat down which grossed me out. My man thought it smelled weird. Someone was flipping chairs onto tables right by us as we were eating. My man asked if they were closing. He said they didn't close until one so my man said, "you aren't sweeping the floor are you?" The guy seemed offended by the question but I don't know why else he would be flipping the chairs onto the table. Why do it if they are open until 1? Why do it near people that are eating? I don't know. It was just kinda rude. On the way out, the bartender (or someone behind the bar, anyway) said, "have a good night" without even taking his eyes off of the tv to look at us. I responded to him. My man told me I was better than him because he thought it was rude and wouldn't even respond to someone that can't be bothered to look at the person they're speaking to. I guess it is kinda rude but the standards in the world seem so low these days that nothing even phases me. They have a decent amount of tvs around. They offer takeout. They have beer to go. There's a separate door for all of that. There's a narrow bar area in the dining area and then two indoor dining sections. I would return here if other people really wanted to but I would never suggest coming here. If I want to dine in for pizza, I'm going to Cocco's in Aston. It's WAY better! Things have certainly improved since my last review. Nothing but friendly service on the phone and off. Great sandwiches...my Dad is hooked on the generously filled cheesesteaks. Great food and service every time we visit. We drive a good distance to come here. Only bad issue is each and every time we visit, there is at least one table with small kids that are out of control. Screaming, running around, acting up, and the parents do nothing. The manager needs to say something to the parents. Worst experience ever had picking up Pizza at Pinocchio's, called my order in and was told it would be ready in 40 minuets. When I get there and paid for my order, was told I would have to wait about another 10 minuets. So I am waiting inside the pick up area with about 15 other customers all jammed in and some hanging out the door, the 10 minuets longer turned out to be over 20 minuets. I'm handed my pizza and fries, and did not even get sorry for the wait, or thanks for being patients with us taking so long with your order. The woman behind the register was rude and not friendly at all when she gave me my order. You would think being less than 5 minuets away the pizza and fries will still be HOT when I arrived home, but of course it was not. I ate dinner here on a Rainy Tuesday night and it was packed. The atmosphere is charming and our service was good, despite the high level of activity going on. Two of us ordered Stromboli and one a pizza. I had veggie Stromboli which I thought was very good. It needed salt but I count that as a personal taste thing. I tried the pizza and it was also very good. My cohorts sampled many of the beers through the use of the flights ($10 for four ~4 ounce samples) and really enjoyed them. I love the old-style decor and history of this place. I thought it was closer to one $ than two. I'd happily go there again and recommend for what it is. Enjoyable old-style restaurant. read more

This place is an absolute joke. My BF and I have been wanting to stop by for a while now and boy are we sorry we finally did. If your not familiar with the restaurant, you walk in past the bar and stand and wait... And wait... For someone to seat you. After finally being seated we waited and waited again for our server (I believe her name was Colleen?) to come over. She gave us the old "whaddya want??" Told her our food and drink order and off she went. Little did we know the theme of this meal would be WAITING AND WAITING. Beers arrived (beer selection is the only upside to this place) then a bit later came the two pizzas we ordered.. A veggie and a tomato pie, which were good. Nothing to write home about. I had also saw other tables getting breadsticks which I assumed were complimentary and asked for an order because we were never offered them. After delivering our food, our server proceeded to go out to the front of the restaurant and have a leisurely smoke with a friend. We were sitting near the window so could see her out there for 10 minutes or so. We sat with empty beer glasses hoping someone would take notice and offer to get us another beverage since our server seemed to have better things to do. At this point I'm getting pretty fed up and wondering where a manager is.. Not one person of any authority seemed to be present. After watching our server come in from her smoke break, not even wash her hands, and start working again I was ready to go. We waited another 20 minutes. Finally a bus boy came over to clear our plates and I asked him to ask for a box and the check. Paid our bill and got the heck out of there. We will NEVER return and if anyone ever asks about Pinocchio's I'll certainly tell them of our experience. I don't know how they've held it together for 60 years....
