Came here with my best friend and it was packed when we first arrived. we had to wait a bit for a table, which was expected with how busy it was. We ordered bone-in buffalo wings, chicken Alfredo gnocchi, garlic bread, and my bestie got a personal vodka pizza with sausage. The food honestly did not disappoint, everything was flavorful, hot, and worth the wait. That said, the service was definitely on the slower side. Our waitress was very nice and polite, but things took a while overall. Even after the place started to clear out halfway through our meal, the pace didn't really pick up. We also waited at least 15 minutes just to get the check, which was a bit frustrating. One thing that stood out (not in the best way) was seeing a staff member wiping crumbs and debris straight onto the floor while cleaning tables, which wasn't the most pleasant to watch while eating. Overall, the atmosphere was really nice and the food was great, but the slow service and a few cleanliness issues kept it from being a full 5 stars. The same employee who took my payment also put my pizza in the oven, and I didn't see any gloves being used. Pinos has become my family's go to pizzeria over the years. The pizza is always consistently delicious, we also love to dine there and try the Italian entrees from the menu. It is one of my son's favorite restaurants. The staff is great and I usually see familiar faces when I go there which is nice to know they aren't turning over employees constantly. It has a familial vibe while still managing to be modern. My favorite meal is the sausage diavlo, it's basically sausage and peppers in red sauce with pasta. My favorite pizza is the Nonna pie, I like to add garlic and onions and it's such an indulgent treat. Im pretty sure they use the garlic from the garlic knots and it's absolutely mouthwatering. Another huge plus for my family is they have a considerable vegan menu. My brother's whole family is vegan and it can be challenging ordering out in the area. Got takeout: 40 minutes to get 3 pizzas and 2 antipastos prepared right after they opened. About double what other pizza places take. Grandmas square pizza was very good. Antipasti's were more like a tossed salad but that was okay. House dressing was okay. It was a brown pudding looking dressing that seemed to have anchovies in it. Hawaiian pizza was good. Vodka penne pizza was dry and the noodles on top were a little on the hard side. About $120 not including tip for the three pizzas and 2 salads. Deliciousness - 4/5 Happiness - 4/5 What a good hidden gem this is. The pasta packs a delicious punch, the garlic bread is free and plentiful, and the BYOB helps everyone leave happy! Far and away, the best thing here was the pasta. The sauces are beautifully seasoned and very rich. The pasta is tasty and varied (i.e., lots of different types), and the toppings are generous (my pasta Giuseppe came with plenty of well seasoned chicken and large, flavorful mushrooms). The Chicken Savoy had some beautiful vinegar flavor and ended up being enough for leftovers twice. The rest of the experience wasn't as memorable. We ordered a mozzarella appetizer and was surprised it was not fresh mozzarella. I don't mind thin sliced rolls of mozz, but definitely would have ordered something different if I'd known it wasn't fresh. I did quite enjoy it with the sun dried tomatoes. We also ordered some fried ravioli and in truth, nobody enjoyed it. I don't think it was fried long enough so that the cheese inside was still too firm and overpowering. My son got pizza that he loved, but I thought it was just OK (the crust was a little to soggy for my liking). The service was friendly, engaging, and attentive. Got the plain pie to share. It was a solid pizza, simple. Got a chicken sandwich with mozzarella, roasted pepper and balsamic. I think they put it on a focaccia bread. Great place but pass couple of years I see this place going down in hospitality and service was there Friday ordered and waited no problem but when in waiting for food and saw my food going to another table then taken to back then 20 seconds later come to me that means not organized sorry my opinion then waitress never came back to see if I needed anything especially i needed a soda refill nothing I was done with service and ask someone else for my bill. Food is amazing, but the employees are funny.. I ordered a chicken ceaser salad minus bread crumbs, olives and onions.. I picked up romaine lettuce with croutons only, when I called they delivered the correct food so I ordered again... today I asked that the delivery driver call my phone when he came because I was outside.. after an hour I called and they said the delivery driver tried to call me and so did Pinos but I have no missed calls and my cameras show the delivery driver just ringing the bell. They left my food outside by the time I found it, it was cold.. So even though the food is good, the employees are a lil too funny for me. I get not having to do no favors but there's also just being lazy and not caring and that's what this staff gives off! On top of bad service I asked for no olives or onions and they insisted last time olives weren't standard, but today they added them and the onions despite me specifically stating I didn't want them.. over all this is the last time I order from them. Once again, another great night at Pino's for dinner. Walked in to a busy & packed dinning room. Can't complain about the crowd, it's the place everyone wants to be. The service was excellent, as always. Greeted immediately, sat as soon as the next table was available & cleaned. Our servers, Mercedes & Scott were attentive and so nice! Checking in on us constantly and the food didn't take long to come out. We tried something new & were not disappointed. We were puzzled to find that the extensive dine-in menu included personal pizzas but not full-size pizzas. We had to ask for a take-out menu to see a list of all available pizzas. Staff was polite, however numerous. Five servers and duplicated effort at our one table was a bit much. Received warm garlic bread with our meal. Salad was served on a tiny plate which was unstable because only a small circle at the bottom of the plate made contact with the table. Food was okay. Veal dinner served with a butter knife; had to ask for a sharp knife. Ordered a dessert on the daily specials menu and was told that the dessert was seasonal only and they didn't have it anymore? The pizza we got was a thick crust pizza with the works. We immediately called and we were told whoever took our order must have hit the wrong button. That was it. There was no offer to replace it. I don't know how this place isn't 4+ stars. We wanted cheesesteaks as we were passing through, I got regular (with substitutions) and my partner got chicken, we both couldn't not have been happier. We also threw in a slice of pizza just bc when in Rome, and my partner was thoroughly upset we only got one slice to try. I love a crust that looks burnt but doesnt taste it, perfect crispy goodness. Excellent food, it's very much a sub & pizza shop, just as described. Lives up to its description perfectly in my opinion. I hate to post reviews. It just that pino's was my favorite Pizza/hot subs restaurant. I live in islien which is part of Woodbridge. I been coming to pino's since 2005. I noticed that since the move a couple of years ago service is lacking. Yesterday I ordered chicken parmigiana in a plate with bread on the side and a medium pizza. The chicken was thick very little mozzarella and dry as heck. No Bread was in the bag. But the taste was good. The pizza was a blob thick and cold. I was told 30 minutes I got there in 20minutes it was ready and waiting but cold. When I got home. How do they estimate the time. No one there 13 minutes a customer should be told not 30 minutes. So it is hot. It was ready in 13 minutes and I was told it would be 30 minutes. I know how long a welldone pie takes to bake. A year ago I was told I would get credit I never got the credit. Pretty nice inside and the bathroom was very clean which says a lot imo. Staff is friendly and courteous for the most part. Great food and prices..My issue is with the service. Went three weeks in a row before our local outdoor concert series. Same issue each time. Sit down and order food on initial interaction with the waitress. Nearly 10 minutes till drinks arrive then nothing for 20 minutes. No bread, salad, appetizer nothing. Then everything comes within a 5 minute time span and the booth is full of food and you are stuffed trying to get everything down. No excuse not to have drinks and at least bread or salad at the table within 5 minutes Appetizers should never come out with the meal. read more

The food was good. My wife has been coming here for decades, before they opened their new location. We spent over $200 here today to celebrate her birthday. Her 10 year-old neice brought a cake for us to eat. We had brought our own paper plates and plastic forks but a server offered us plates for the cake. When we got the bill they added a $9 "cake fee". They didn't help serve the cake, they didn't sing happy birthday. We wouldn't have used the plates if we were going to be charged $9. The reason I'm giving 1 star is because when we asked them to take this charge off the bill they never warned us about, they got attitude. The girl said she couldn't, she would have to get a manager. When we asked for the manager, she said she was the manager. Most people in my family have worked in food service for years. We understand things cost more than they used to. But this was absolutely pathetic. Robbery. Never coming back here again. Ever. Idiotic and rude customer service. Great pizza is a dime a dozen in NJ. We can drive another 3 minutes and not get disrespected, hustled and robbed. It may "only be $9" but it's the principle. read more

My first time ordering from Pino's. I randomly try different pizza spots and came across them. I just had plain pizza and the fried calamari. I really liked the pizza. It had the right amount t if sauce and cheese. The calamari was good as well but would have been better if it was delivered. It's one of those things you have to eat right after prepared. Food was not good at all Pizza was cold and stale. Looked like a few days old Shrimp scampi's leaked everywhere and I asked for extra garlic and it was still unflavored Disappointed!!! I also did not receive any utensils as I indicated I was poolside. Nor did you send the salad dressing on the side. The Uber driver indicated that you did not seal the lid of the scampi thus it spilled all over her car. It really wasn't good food nor presentation. No worries. My family and I have gotten food delivered multiple times from this place and never had an issue. Tonight I was told by the employee, who picked up the phone that Pino's does not deliver to Iselin. After I explained that they have delivered to us previously, the employee had me hold on to see if the driver was willing to travel to us (keep in mind that I live 6 minutes away). After being put on hold the employee explained that the driver did not feel like driving to us and told us it's best that we try them during the week around 2pm. Our family is good to spend minimum $150+ every time we either dine in or have food delivered to us. The poor service and response tonight has left us with a bad taste in our mouths and the guests we are hosting at our place. We do not plan on doing anymore business here. read more
