So impressed with service at Pinstack this week!! We went one afternoon & had the best service from Ant at the bar (he was so busy but remembered tab names, drink orders & was so friendly) & Zayan in the game area! They seemed short staffed but Zayan was on it for any activity my kids wanted to do. When I asked for a manager, Dean may have been nervous (lol I'm a middle aged white lady) but he was so happy to hear about his amazing staff!! THEN, we brought family to play a couple days later. My 4 year old niece played a game with one prize in mind, over & over & over. When we went to the toys to redeem her tickets, the exact prize wasn't in there. I nicely (promise not Karen-y) asked about it & Gavin & Jacoby returned with a whole box of the pandas she wanted!! So sweet for them to care to look at all!! We love 5 mins from Pinstack & have spent approx $10million on stuffies & socks & appreciate this crew so much!! Thank you!! read more

Had a group party for our employees to celebrate the end of the holiday season. Food was reasonable. We had a personal attendant waiting on us for drinks that were included in our package (although she was new and didn't realize they DO offer all Coca-Cola products) My only beef was that they had our group assigned to 2 lanes for 2 hours of bowling......I guess I'm naive to think that you would be allowed to finish the game you were on at that time. This is NOT the case. At the end of 2 hours, your lane closes regardless of where you are in those frames. I think their managment need to better explain and offer options. IE: 4 BOWLERS WILL TYPICALLY BOWL ONE GAME IN ONE HOUR ON ONE LANE... If you want to place more people on that lane, you should be prepared to purchase more time, OR request additional lanes. 13 bowlers for snacks and 1 1/2 game of bowlIng in 2 hours for $500 (plus we ended up purchasing 2 large pizzas outside their package and a few beers at the bar). I personally was a little insulted that I would have to ask them 4 times to turn the lanes back on so that we could finish our second game. Atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon was great for group functions like we had. Friday nights when I dropped off my deposit was quite loud and noisy. We came here for a work event and it was a good time. The parking was tough and I ended up parking on the grass on the outskirts of the parking lot because there were no spaces. We had most of the bowling lanes and the laser tag for a few hours. They let us set up at the front so we could direct our guests and gave us the mic to speak over the bowling area. This is also where the food was set up. There was a large selection of bar food including sliders, nachos, and other treats. All were average at best. There is a large full bar however that is near the bowling area and the lines were never too long. Those who ordered drinks from the lanes directly got them in due time. The staff has been properly brought up to speed in this now not so new facility and that is good to see. This place is great for groups! read more

Came here for my cousin's 21st birthday with the whole family and it was the perfect place to celebrate! Pin stack is a family friendly bowling alley which comes with two full bars for those who want to have a few or 5. They even have a glow in the dark bumper car area ... something I haven't seen in a bowling alley before! I'm more of a laser tag kind of gal buttt the bumper cars did look appealing besides the space of driving area. I really enjoyed bowling with my whole family and the countless appetizers that were ordered! We ordered almost everything on the menu and it was all pretty standard bar food! My daughter had her 10th birthday party here. After one hour of bowling, we had 45 minutes in a private room to have pizza and cake, then the kids played in the arcade for another 45 minutes. The kids had a blast! Our host, Sameia, was very friendly and super helpful. The pizza was also very good! My only complaint is about the fact the email I received when planning the party stated that we were not allowed to bring home any leftover food (e.g., pizza). In the end it was irrelevant because we ate it all but still, I think this is a bad policy. I would have ordered more food if it was not the case. read more

You won't regret going to this place for entertainment and food. The food is sooo good and our waitress Taylor was even better. She was making sure everyone's orders were correct and even with all the tables she was helping she positive attitude (even after being out for a minute and getting back to work) she was overall an 11/10 waitress. The food= 10/10 even if my wings were unconventional bbq wings in my opinion they were still good. The shake!!! Oh my goodness soo big but soo good. I took my daughter for games, bowling and food. We sat in the dining room and ordered pizza and fries for her. The pizza was like card board and the fries were only half done. Soggy and chewy like they weren't in the fryer long enough. I couldn't get the waitress to pay attention long enough to tell her. The service in this part was horrendous. At first glance Pinstack is a well done concept that is quite possibly the ultimate childhood dream (this applies to all of us adults who are children at heart, too). The building is huge and houses a ropes course, a rock climbing wall, lazer tag, an arcade, bumper cars, two bars, bowling and a restaurant. We came on a rainy Saturday around 4p and put our name down for bowling (two hour wait). They ask for your phone number so you can play and spend while you wait for your lane. We loaded up token cards and spent 2 hours and $40 perusing the arcade. My initial thoughts were that the arcade was small and geared more towards youngsters (versus Dave n Busters which for example has full sized basketball, more space and more exciting games for the older crowd). I wouldn't call this a misstep as it's clearly designed for kids and adults just get the added bonus of feeling like a kid again, whereas D&B is designed for adults. The bumper cars space is the size of a tiny personal office with barely any room to get your car to turn anywhere once everyone is moving. It looked like that scene out of Austin Powers where he is trying to turn the golf cart around in the narrow hallway. I noticed several of the games weren't working (the basketball hoops weren't moving back and forth - we tried this twice thinking maybe we hit the wrong buttons), the "spy" game where you move through a space avoiding lazers wasn't working either and I'm pretty certain I swiped my card and got charged double on a couple games. I wish they would've posted signage to alert customers the games weren't working before we began spending money on them. During our game play I decided to grab a coffee. I ordered a vanilla latte and the bartender said to hold on a minute. He proceeded to ask two passing employees (in front of me) if they knew how to make a vanilla latte. Both said no, but I guess the bartender decided it was time for employee #2 to learn. He showed him how to press a button and the young employee looked hesitant as he tried to figure out how to make it by himself. I was relieved that the flavor turned out okay -- though it was pretty cold because of the milk he added. A more senior looking manager came up around that time and fortunately remade the drink for me. Once we realized two hours had surely passed and our lane still wasn't ready we went to check in and get an ETA. Turns out they took down the wrong phone # and moved on when we didn't respond. Their initial solution was "well, we're going to have to put at the bottom of the list for another 2 hour wait." It wasn't until we explained for 15 minutes how unfair this was that they put us next on the list. As some people have mentioned you have to commit to how much time you plan to bowl. It's hard to gauge, especially with a larger group, how much time you'll need or want, however - on a busy weekend this is actually a great tool to keep the lanes moving. As our time expired they had a cleaning crew on standby to transition for the next group as quickly as possible - very effective so wait times don't get out of control. The bowling itself was fun and affordable. We did 1.5 hrs for 12 people with shoe rentals - $12.50 or so per person. Not bad for a Saturday night! The fun jokes and facts added entertainment, they play music videos on the giant screens behind the pins and everything was clean. Our friends ordered chicken nachos and were disappointed (though I didn't hear why exactly). I tried one of the buffalo wings and thought they were super tasty. They came out really hot and didn't taste dry at all. I would return as it's a perfect rainy day activity, but be weary of games not working (without any signage to warn you), drinks that are on the expensive side and long (but understandbly so) waits. read more

Another dissapointing experience with the food. Ordered the 20 dollar burger that was supposed to have have Wagu beef, bacon wapped jalapenos, and a black garlic aioli on both buns. The burgers were overcooked and dry, the jalapenos were the side of only an inch long, and there was nothing but a dry bun so not sure about the aoili. Don't waste the money in this burger, go to Kenny's and buy 2 for this price. read more

I am going to start by saying how I love how clean Pinstacks is. It's super fun. Service can be dodgy but for the most part, when you are bowling, you have good service. It is a little more on the expensive side for bowling in Plano but my kids love the laser tag there, so we go back. They have bumper cars, and a ton of arcade games. The food is pretty good, overpriced in my opinion. It's a great place for when you can't be outside. read more

My company had their Christmas party here the other day and while the bowling and the games well excellent and rate five stars, the food that was served to our group was not so good and that's why I'm giving this place an overall three stars. For the food, we were given meatballs on a stick, street tacos, bruschetta, chips with a queso sauce and four kinds of desserts that were all some sort of a brownie bar or a lemon bar. The meatballs were alright but the street tacos were flavourless and the meat was very stringy. The bruschetta was pretty much tasteless although you could taste the onions, which were overpowering. PINSTACK, try to cut the onions and please use the balsamic vinaigrette more liberally. The desserts were mediocre at best. All in all, go to PINSTACK for the food, but avoid the the food. read more

This is an upscale bowling alley with a huge video game/prize game section that dwarfs Dave & Busters in quality and modernness. Like D&B, you put money on a card and swipe the card to ply games and participate in extra activities, which include a ropes course ($5), laser tag ($5), a section of glowing rock walls ($4) and bumper cars ($3). Let's get one thing straight: Kids absolutely LOVE this place. The games are fun, reasonably priced and in working order. Yes, bowling can be a crowded mess or waiting for a lane but only because the lanes and extras are so awesome that EVERYONE wants to bowl here! Even the restaurant was a giant hit. Sure, it wasn't Houston's but the burgers, pizza and Caesar caps were all decent and our server Junior was absolutely amazing and attentive. Went for the first time ever last Friday afternoon. Very impressive walking in and once we got the extremely confusing point system figured out, then corrected because the automated machine messed up what I purchased, and then the assistant trying to correct the problem removed all of my purchases prior to any use, which translates intobthe first time I went to use it....... REJECTED and sent back to the service desk where the issue was finally resolved and we were off to play. BTW.....WHY do places do this with point systems.....just tell me how much something costs and let's get on with it. We spent 20 minutes (during an EXTREMELY slow period) trying to get this resolved. My only real complaint is that the staff there all seem MISERABLE, as if they have been sold into that job and have no other choice but to work there. The receptionist was borderline asleep and couldn't really be bothered, even after I told her I was excitedly there for the first time. Guy at the bowl desk, basically clueless....nice enough but he's the one that deactivated my card and said "here you go, all set". The next person, also a very nice guy, was at the laser tag/rockwall area and said he couldn't help us because he was maning the laser tag game, they were short-staffed and there wasn't anyone to assist with the wall but that he would be happy to help as soon as he got relief. He also pointed to a stack of stock on pallets and said that was what the staff was working on. I thought...."isn't that something that should be done after/before hours. Do I really want to wait for you to open so I can wait for you to stock product, so I can wait to enjoy with my family".....come on guys? The nicest guy (actually the only person that seemed happy) was the guy running the bumper cars. He was funny and playful....that is what we should see as customers. Not this "please, for the love of God, someone rescue me appearance" that all the other employees seemed to have. Management - you have some training to do and kinks to work out. Not sure why this place has such a low rating. We certainly had a grand ol' time here. Stopped in for a drink and some bowling after work. This place is separated into different sections - an arcade gaming area, a restaurant, a bar, and bowling lanes. Arcade: Games seemed pricey, but we didn't try playing any because the whole area seemed a bit kiddy. Would prefer to go to a different, bigger arcade for games. Bowling: Paid $12 for 1 hour of bowling with shoe rental. A bit on the pricier end, but the ambience was much better than other bowling alleys and certainly much better maintained. Food: Tried my friend's the hot wings - not really spicy and were neither bad nor good. I didn't care to try the food at all. In all fairness, it's a bowling alley, not a Michelin star restaurant. The family in the lane next to us had a bunch of kids who devoured their meals. Bar: All draft beers are $3 for happy hour - $3 for a Revolver Blood & Honey? Yes, please! Let me make one thing abundantly clear right away, do NOT, I repeat do NOT go here for the food. More on this in a bit. The place is huge and is a perfect family friendly environment. It's like Dave and Buster's but with a better beer selection and even more games including bowling, laser tag, rock climbing and a rope course. Bowling was $34 for one hour on the weekends and $18/hour on weekdays. They even have auto bumpers for kiddos, cool feature. And, like Dave and Busters, some games give tickets to win certain prizes so your little one can go home happy before a total and utter meltdown. However, let's move onto the food, or at least the sad attempt at what has been disguised as food. Everything from the queso to the chicken 'wings' were just depressing. They describe the menu as 'modern American cuisine' but there's nothing modern about it. But, I guess there's nothing more American than channeling the conglomerate food companies like Tyson and Sysco. The 'truffle' mac n' cheese might as well have been called Kraft mac n' cheese with no truffle. The boneless chicken wings I got were an utter disaster that looked more like wrinkly male reproductive organs than food. The food just made me mad. With that much press around the food and the prices that were charged ($11 for chicken strips that were obviously frozen and re-heated) and $8 for the saddest looking chicken wings I've ever seen (perhaps Tyson?) it better be good. Places like Top Golf at least try to elevate the food a bit more. This was just lazy and upsetting to actually pay for this. Don't get me wrong, I'll go back for the activities since my kid loved it so much. But the food, my god the food. 2.5 stars if I were able to. read more

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!!! As soon as you enter, there's a decent size arcade and a hostess (with the mostest haha) who will ask what we'd like to play. We came here for the bowling, so she directed us to see her coworkers at the bowling check in station. The place was club lit and seemed like this was the hot place in Plano to be on a Saturday afternoon. We got our shoes and were directed to our lane. Even with the bowling shoes, I couldn't help but noticed that the lanes are a kind of sticky. It's safer, but I feel like it messed with my bowling game. We got a bit hungry and ordered their fries. They were pretty good but nothing over the top. Overall, it was a great time and we enjoyed outselves. read more
