Decided to try Happy Hour at 4:30 pm. Before sitting down my group walked around. This place is two stories, upstairs is the bowling alley, a reception area with manned bar, and a huge sunny ballroom with balcony. They host line dancing there and I'm intrigued to go! Downstairs is the main bar, dining room and a single bocce ball lane. We sat in the main bar wanting to view the baseball game on the screens. Happy Hour specials for all! Came here for a date night. It's a great location and new a pretty inside has a lot of potential. We came for drinks at the bar and bowling for 1 hr. If you bowl its 100$ for one hour, doesn't matter how many people that's the cost for one hour not during their happy hour, just to be aware. We got put on the only lane that's screen was broken, see pic. Kind of annoying, but especially annoying when you ask the manager Shamar about it and he says no one else playing that lane has cared and walks away. . Great customer service. This place is fun. Been here for a couple events and for their brunch. The food is pretty decent for a casual event space. I think it is great they do weekly specials and brunch all weekend on 3 day weekends. They have a good variety of food for all dietary restrictions and the bottomless drinks come in a carafe so you don't need to wait on every refill. The parking downtown sort of sucks though. Best to ride share, especially if you have the drinks. read more

Came here for drinks and bowling. Came too early for our bowling reservation so my boyfriend and I decided to get a drink at the bar. I ordered a dirty martini and it's what you would expect from what a martini would taste like. I also ordered an espresso martini and that was delicious, you can really taste the coffee. Once our lane was ready, nobody really explained where to get shoes, I kind of just saw the pile of shoes in the corner and a staff. It wasn't a great experience with our server, she didn't check in on us until I had to wave a staff down, which seemed to be some sort of manager because our server checked in on us 10 minutes after we had placed our order with the person in charge. Our server finally checks in on us but she didn't introduce herself and never checked in on us again after. When we were ready to pay, we had to wave a different staff down. We were greeted a very nice lady, the host, who asked us where we wanted to sit, the lounge or the dining room. We asked her if the menu was the same. She said yes,and we chose the empty Dinning room. She handed us a a dinner menu and a happy hour menu. We asked her about specific items on the "happy hour" menus, and she explained them thoroughly. The AGM Brian came by 10 minutes after we were seated to let us know "he was not our sever, he was the AGM, but he would be happy to take our order, and a server would be by later. When we told him our order, he said we could not order the food off the happy hour menu unless we moved to the bar. We mentioned that the host gave us the bar menu and said we could order here. Brian threw his host under the bus, by saying "she's new, it's her first day", we asked if he could be flexible being that we were comfortable, and we handed the "happy hour menus". He said no, his policy would not allow any flexibility. I worked in restaurants for years I was surprised the AGM would have been tactful, and more accommodating, and had the accountability to take responsibility, let us sit where we were,and not throw is new employee under the bus. read more

It's a real shame when great food and tasty are completely overshadowed by terrible service. Unfortunately, that was my experience here. From the start, the service set the wrong tone. Being greeted at the door felt like asking for the impossible--the staff at the front were unfriendly and unwelcoming. This unprofessional behavior carried throughout the evening. The food itself was delicious, and the drinks were enjoyable, but the staff's behavior ruined the overall experience. It took over 30 minutes just to get our check and that was only because I had to get up and find someone. I originally asked a server walking by since we had been waiting so long and he said he would go get it and never returned. When we finally did get our check, they gave our credit card to the wrong table. It was another 30 minutes before we got our card back. To make matters worse, while we were waiting, a waitress at a nearby table was loudly and inappropriately flirting with a visibly drunk guest. She gave him her number, left, and then returned with a pinstriped hat and medal for him. She even put the medal on him and came dangerously close to kissing him--in plain view of children sitting nearby! This was not what I expected or wanted from a dining experience. The staff's behavior was beyond unprofessional and outright rude. Because of this, I would not return and cannot recommend this place to others. Average taste for food. Nothing crazy i was like wow that was amazing. My husband got fries with his burger, it was seasoned well but his fries tasted like seafood. So maybe they used the same fryer for seafood. It left a nasty taste. Very hard to get the servers attention. Needed ketchup and mayo and had to wait til our food was cold to add it. Even had to get up to give our check to the server . Very pricey for what they offer. The place was nice but the bathrooms felt like a mile away & were filthy. I'm beyond disappointed. I waited to post this review. A friend told me this place had just opened and we wanted to check it out. Long story short, we had drinks, appetizer and dinner. Service was fairly decent. Food was ok, drinks were good. Now it's time to pay. We asked to split the tab. Server brings us our receipt and I notice my friend is charged half and I was charged the full amount. Suddenly our server is no where to be found. I find a server in passing and ask for a manager. The passing server seemed annoyed I even spoke to him. We find a manager on our own and explain. He says he'll fix it. He walks away comes back gives me new receipt for half the bill. Great. Several days later I check my credit card and sure enough the charge for full amount is still there. I call and speak to manager Brian. He finds the charges from that tonight and says many servers are having a hard time splitting bills and he's had to correct it multiple times that same day. He assured me this would get resolved. Now almost a month later I still have the full charge on my credit card. If you're splitting a tab CHECK your receipt. These people are over charging and stealing money from guest. We went upstairs and the kids we saw downstairs being kids were all upstairs bowling. I guess my issue is when I go someplace to eat and drink i don't want a bunch of screaming kids. Granted they were all eventually going upstairs but prior to that they were downstairs. Seems like a Chucky Cheese with alcohol for adults and bowling to keep the kids occupied and a bar/lounge area for peeps without the kids. Came here for a game of Bocce with drinks and appetizers and dinner. Place looks very modern and bright and welcoming. Bocce upstairs was fun, staff was very friendly and helpful. Went for dinner downstairs (had reservations) and I have to say, I will not come back. 1. They sat us all the way back close to the downstairs bocce court. The music was so loud we could barely hold a conversation. Not sure why they sat us all the way back there as the place was almost empty. 2. Food was ok. It arrived luke warm on cold plates. Great Brussels sprouts. Quality did not justify the price. 3. Our server was very friendly. He seemed to be the only one and a bit overwhelmed. 4. isn't there a California health code that prohibits dogs inside a food establishments unless they are registered service dogs (not comfort dogs) ?????? We hosted a Christmas party here and it was ok for the price. I honestly expected a little more. The service was snappy and friendly until we got upstairs to bowl. The bowling alley isn't as nice as the rest of the place. I would consider this a bar and restaurant before a bowling alley. The ambiance was very nice. Our server was super sweet and very friendly. On top of her game. Very helpful. This place has a lot of potential. Only downside is you have to book the lanes well in advance; for bowling and bocce. It's a bit pricey. The food wasn't great at all. Wouldn't eat there again. I made a reservation for brunch on a Saturday. My family of five showed up on time (1pm) only to be told the immediate seating area is all that was available as they had two Bar mitzvah events. We seated ourselves (because they ushered us to find our own table) and waited for someone to come by. I had to wave someone down and ask for menus and then eventually a server came over to tell us they were clearing people out because they had multiple events at 2pm. I explained the server told us we could be seated to order as we had a reservation. He left, came back and asked was our reservation for dine in. I'm not sure what else it could be but ok. Then he left and came back and said if we ordered we had to be done by 2pm, because our party was using the table they needed most. At that point I didn't want to stay and we decided to leave. I definitely will not be back. The experience of bad service, incompetent service, five hostesses unable to do one job, and a scheduling service not being effective is enough to keep me from returning. Not a great start for the long anticipated opening of Pinstripes. We had reserved a Bocce ball court for 2 hours. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was frazzled, and borderline rude as they did not know how to process payment. We eventually got shown to the back corner next to the incredibly small and BROKEN bocce ball court and waited over 15 minutes until someone came over to take our drink orders. This place just opened- how on earth is the court already broken. We all ordered old fashions (literally the first cocktail listed on their menu) and we were told they didn't have the materials to make one. We asked for whiskey Sours instead, and again were told they don't have materials. When we received the food, two plates had to be sent back due to the meat being far too tough and rubbery to even chew. I will chock this up to opening week pains- I hope they make the changes needed. I will be giving them a bit of time to get it together before going back read more

Booking process - Booked this for a friend's birthday. Yesenia was very helpful with the booking process and providing a quote with a current prompt and follow through. We were able to get 2 hours of bowling, and 3 hours unlimited brunch. (After bowling they seated us downstairs to continue eating and hanging out) On site staff service wasn't great. Upon arrive the front desk didn't really give us much direction on what to do or how to check in, so we had to ask. Service throughout the day was a hit and miss. It took a while for them to clear our plates in the bowling area. But we're quick for drink orders. Downstairs after bowling - servers were pretty busy so we had to call out for them or walk to the register/bar a few times). Ambiance was nice. TV access for games. A lot of seating (more so for smaller groups, but manageable for a larger group- we had 12 people and 3 kids). Elevator access is available but it's all the way in the back of the building. Bathrooms are also in the far back hallway. Also - all of the food is downstairs so walking up and down the stairs to get the food was a whole mission lol but I guess you workout all you can eat! Food was good. Buffet style. Pretty good options. There was someone making an omelet or scramble on hand, so that was nice. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming again. I had recently booked a Bocci court reservation and it had recently just opened only about a week. I had booked the court for a weekday outing at 8pm and it was reserved via email link. /We had booked Bocci court for a party of 6 and we all arrived on time, The Court was not available right away, but we did receive a Happy hour discount from $40 to $20. We did eventually get the Bocci court at 8:20 but it seemed a little rushed when it came to order Dinner and Drinks. We had a server take our Drink and Dinner order but as I said. seemed a little rushed since the Bar and Restaurant closed at 9pm. We had ordered off the Happy Hour menu and a few off the Restaurant menu. The Bar drinks were good and the gals who had ordered the Espresso Martinis were happy because they stated they were really good. I had trouble ordering a simple Beer since it wasn't communicated with the Server and Bartender.on what types of beer were available at that time. The Lobster Mac and Cheese and Tenderloin sliders really good. The Server Tyler was really patient and he let us finish the Bocci game after we stayed after the Bar and Restaurant closed. We were given dessert for the Birthday gal. They had also given us a coupon for 1 hour free next visit for either Bowling or Bocci since we had to wait for our court to be cleared. I had been looking forward to this location opening for a LONG time...as an large event I planned for earlier this year had been cancelled as they weren't able to open. I wanted to give them a chance to make up for what was not a great experience with that situation. Luckily, we had a GREAT experience when my husband and I went for a quick bite during holiday shopping! Ryan and Sophia took great care of us- and they didn't even know we were there for a second chance! They simply did the best job possible while working out the bugs of a newly opened and very busy restaurant on a football game day. We asked Ryan how the opening was going, and found out he was there to be a trainer for the new staff. He definitely knows how to exemplify customer service! Sophia was our main server and was very attentive, even though she had many other guests due to the football game. My husband and I came in for happy hour last night and were surprised when the bartender "V" said it was buy one get one on everything or we could do happy hour. We thought she just meant drinks so that's all we were ordering until we overheard her conversation with the gentleman next to us about his second pizza being free. I asked when she said everything did she mean food to? She said yes everything. We ended up staying for 2 hours eating steak and drinking. I attended a private event at Pinstripes and was disappointed with the customer service. We had to chase down the staff to get a juice and drinks were suppose to be part of the party package. The vegan meal was unacceptable, they provided a cold flat bread with tons of onions and mushrooms that were all soggy, not edible. When I asked for a replacement meal, they said it would need to be charged to the party and the host/manager Brian had a condescending attitude. I have never experienced bad customer like this at a private event. I believe the manager was very rude and not helpful at all. So excited for this place to finally open after waiting so long. I made reservations opening night thinking this place would be packed. As soon as we walked in, immediate chaos. There were at least 6 waitress (hosts) manning the desk. Nobody greeted us. I stood there waiting to see if someone would come up to us. Finally I moved towards the front desk and I still had to wait for someone to help me. I understood they were all busy and training, but acknowledgement would've been nice "Sorry, someone will be with you for a moment". Instead of me staring awkwardly waiting for someone to help. Someone finally offered to help and she was fortunately extremely nice. We got seated shortly after. Vibe was casual, I like when I can see my food being made, and the chairs were surprisingly cozy. There is a variety of low to high tables, mixed with long ones for larger groups. Our server was quick and attentive, and took our order right away. While we were waiting for our food, 2 other servers asked us if we ordered yet. Not sure if they were being extra attentive, or there was no communication that someone already had our table. Food was ok. We ordered appetizers, an entree and dessert. They were fine, but I don't think they're worth the cost. It took way too long for dessert for something that just ended up being ice cream. Afterwards we went upstairs to look at the bowling area. It looks fun up there, but pretty small. There looked to be only 6 or 7? The bowling area is maybe 1/8th of the whole place. The whole bottom area is a bar/restaurant. Top floor is bowling, one tiny bocce area, a small bar, and 2 event spaces for private events (1 medium size, 1 large). Restroom was already filthy. Water everywhere on the floor, paper towels and toilet paper over flowing trash bins. I was told the men's side had no TP. Men's restroom only had 2 stalls, and women's only had 3. That's kind of wild considering the size of the place. Overall, a bit overpriced in my opinion. Food and drinks are mediocre, bowling seems cool if you're into that. We spent a Saturday night with friends at Penstrips. We'd been awaiting their opening and it was worth the wait! Had drinks on the first floor before going upstairs for bowling. Our server, Jessica, was so friendly and attentive. Even better, she engaged us in conversation, was funny, and was just a great addition to our evening. We didn't know the bowling process (selecting your game, adding names, shoes, etc) so we were a bit confused at first, but there was plenty of staff around to help us. I will say, the lane shuts down when the time is up so bowl quickly if you're concerned with scores. We were just there for fun so it was fine. The food was really good! Not sure why I was surprised but I was. We had the chicken wings, pigs in a blanket, salads, a pizza - all really good. Pinstripes is a great time! Huge disappointment. We get there 2 hours before our appointment and have food. Then we check in and they tell us they're backed up and 15 minutes behind. Not a big deal. Then the manager tells us the lane booked to us is broken and they are determining if it can be fixed or not. 30 more minutes and were told they're working on it. I go upstairs and see more than half the lanes are empty so either they don't have enough staff to manage all 12 or so lanes or they don't know how to manage their business. After waiting over an hour past our appointment we get our hour comped and we get seated at a lane that hadn't been fully bussed and no one is helping us with shoes or anything like that. Then when we finally get ready to play the lane begins to continually reset. Unplayable. We wait 5 minutes for the manager to come and he never shows. He was behind the bar downstairs. While we were waiting people were walking in and were all turned away because they didn't book 2 weeks in advance. Let me save anyone who is wondering if it's worth it or not... it's not. I can't imagine this place will be open in 6 months if they don't get their mismanagement sorted out. They outta decide to be a restaurant or a bowling alley because they obviously don't know how to do both at the same time. By the way, there was no one managing the shoes. Pretty gross that the customer is expected to just go up and take shoes that may be cleaned from the last person, but probably aren't. read more

It When we first walked in, I asked for a table, and one of the hosts just looked at me, whispered to the other, and they both smirked. That should have been a red flag. Once seated, our server came across as passive-aggressive. There were three of us, yet only two cups were brought out. When my friend asked for a third cup, the server didn't apologize or acknowledge the mistake. Then, as we were still eating, he gave us the check--way too early, especially since we were planning to order dessert. It was uncomfortable, like he was rushing us out. Ten minutes later, he dropped off a small to-go box, which felt like an attempt to hurry us again when we hadn't even asked for it. We told him we needed a larger box for the leftover pasta, and also mentioned we wanted to order dessert. Instead of bringing us a dessert menu, I had to recall from memory that we wanted the brownie dessert with two brownies, ice cream, and fudge. When he returned with a small brownie, I realized he might have mixed up the order, so I had to ask him if that was what we actually ordered. He confirmed it wasn't, but it was his fault for not providing a menu and clarifying the options. To make matters worse, he gave us the check again--without a pen--before our dessert even arrived. When the dessert finally did come, it wasn't what we expected, and it was just a small brownie with a scoop of ice cream on the side, not at all like the picture on the menu. Plus, he only gave us one spoon for three people. I usually tip generously, but given the lack of attention, the rushed service, and the poor vibe from the staff, I couldn't bring myself to leave one this time. We ordered food and drinks, they brought us the food and we were finished by the time the drinks were served. I had to ask the server about it a multiple times, and it was very frustrating to watch other customers who were seated after us receive their drinks in the meantime. The food was mediocre; honestly the calamari needed more sauce than one tiny ramekin to be enjoyable. But I couldn't get the servers attention to ask for more. This restaurant has potential, I hope they can improve the quality of service. It would have made the visit a positive experience, instead of feeling forgotten and unappreciated. read more
