Key lime served on the finest of paper plates, Apple pie is frozen

I was really excited to go here for National Pie Day (3/14) expecting the place to go all out to celebrate. Unfortunately the place was quite barren, not only with celebration but also with people. With only a few tables filled, we expected fast, reliable service. Without a doubt we received the opposite. We sat at our table for nearly 20 minutes before we were able to have our order taken, and then waited over 45 minutes to check out after the food was delivered. We ordered the veggie pot pie and the Mac/cheese pie. The veggie was actually delicious with fresh salad, however the Mac/cheese pie was just Mac and cheese in a smaller container, burnt and dry. We had to go up to the counter to order sweet pies, which came out frozen. I was disappointed with the poor service, lack of flavor and frozen apple pie. At first glance this place seems to have all the ingredients, though sadly they've come together to create a flat, mediocre, and in this case, frozen experience.

COVID review: I came here with my dog and was able to sit in their back outside patio, which is very large. The beer they had on tap were all from Northwest Brewing, which is definitely decent beer. For food, I ordered their turkey mushroom pot pie and enjoyed the creamy mushroom sauce in the pie. My fiancé ordered their mac&cheese pot pie. His dish wasn't really a pot pie, as it was basically mac&cheese with a puff pastry placed on top. Nonetheless, both of us enjoyed our meals here. I do like that they serve a variety of sweet and savory pies. The workers here were also very friendly and reviewing cleaning protocols with staff when we arrived, so that made me feel safe.

Food is bad, tastes like a Swanson's Tv Dinner lol not a lot to choose from in food (see pic) and certainly not a lot to choose from in drinks or sodas. Service lacks. We were specific with our orders, 2 beef pot pies and 1 chicken pot pie. So the gal royally screwed up our orders, she either ignored our orders or did what she wanted lol she instead brings out a beef and chicken pot pies and a shepherds pie lol NOT WHAT WE ORDERED!! So not going back ever!! Beware

Soooo...the name had me fooled...I thought it was a pizza joint with brews!!? Regardless, We stayed and dug into the pot pie love...who doesn't love a good pot pie?!?!? Unfortunately neither my or my boyfriends pot pie were enough to bring us back (chicken and veggie) BUT you know what was enough to have us return....the BEER and the PATIO!! I am not even a beer person but the one I had was delish, similar to a hef and the atmosphere was so relaxing Def worth a visit!!

No idea how this place has good reviews. We had the worst experience. They literally use a $240 Avantco food warmer to cook their frozen food. The service is terrible, the food was awful. We took one bite, and just left the food and our drinks sitting on the bar. This place should be embarrassed to "act like a business"

There's not much to say about this place. The best thing they offer are their adult beverages and the TVs for sports watching. Their pies are not good at all. The meat was quite dry and lacked any flavor or seasoning outright. The pie crust was the only good thing about the pie and that alone was not enough to make me want to finish eating it. Glad we finally got to check this place out but it did not meet my expectations. I should also note that my partner ordered the chicken pie but she received the beef pie. They then tried to convince her it was chicken... it definitely was not.

I'd give the beer 5 stars but the food could use a little work. I liked the space a lot, it's huge with some outdoor seating as well. I had the mango hef and the blood orange. Both were excellent, I had been to the original Northwest taproom so I knew I liked both of those! For dinner I had the chicken pot pie. It looked delicious but the flavor was lacking, almost like someone forgot to season it and the chicken was tough. It was one of the first weeks open, I'll probably be back again to give it another shot.

Beef Pie and a Very Drinkable IPA

Ten taps, nine beers brewed in-house and an outside brewed cider. The cider as of this posting is a spiced apple that's like drinking a pie. I thought it was fine in a tasting glass to sip on, but it would have been a bit much in a pint. (your mileage may very) I had a very drinkable IPA and sampled a couple of other taps. They have a Black Lager that's very smooth. The pie in question was very tasty. Beef, vegetables, potatoes, and sauce in a puff pastry crust. There's a nice selection of sweet pies as well, but I didn't sample them this trip. I strongly recommend.

Heard about this place a bit ago and I am happy I was able to finally visit. Overall its a pretty cool spot. The beer is solid, the food is pretty solid, and the staff is super friendly. I definitely need to make a trip back when I can sit inside or during better weather. i brought a blanket and was freezing and by no means to I blame them. I hope that this thing is done soon or the sun brings the heat soon!!

They had live music and the food was absolutely amazing!!! Then staff was friendly, polite, and very helpful. Will definitely be returning in the near future to try more menu items!

I like the atmosphere, calm and cool. Very modern, yet with the wood and brick is a great aesthetic. Beer is good the lager my favorite.

This is actual brewery so they sell their beer can packs to go, as well as some Merch (apparels etc). Newest second location (Narrows Tasting Room) recently opened on Proctor district as well. If I were to get crazy picky, tasting of 1.0oz beer is still going to cost you a dollar. There's no "taking a sip" to see if you wanna commit to ordering a full pint, so just keep that in mind. My favorite here is Narrows Lager and Summer Lager is great too, and if you're an IPA drinker, Tempest IPA is a good option. They also do not prep food here so they got a Chex Mix + Pub Mix snack for $4.00 for about a small bowl, and some charcuterie boards. You can order some food downstairs/next door from Boathouse19 and or bring a small snack bag to nibble on. Parking is ample but can get filled very quickly, especially during Summer time when lots of wedding and other events are happening at the Narrows Marina warehouse, and I also see some food trucks parked by exclusively for those events from time to time. Lastly, they have non-alcoholic beers too! It's not their own, but I've seen them pour "Bero" canned non-alcoholic beer, so you do not need to be a beer drinker to enjoy the space here, but this place is 21+ only, which is another reason I love it here. Oh and last but not least, they have several rooms for event rentals, so I've seen many retirement, birthday parties and other events hosted in those rooms. Pretty cool! The room next to the bar area can be a bit noisy because of the exhaust fan running that is connected to the brewery room. All in all, a great brewery tucked in on the Narrows Marina that's worth a visit if you're in the area, and you might find me here too, just hanging out on a Summer evening : )

I'm kinda surprised that I never made it in before the baby shower, because this spot is pretty close to home. Parking is easy with several lots around the area and also street parking out front of the brewery (if you're lucky enough to snag one). This place is huge! Super open concept and I can definitely see how they manage to host events here on a regular basis. Also love the vibe here and the string lights, it just makes everything feel cozy. They have lots of board games, corn hole, and a steel tip dart board for people to enjoy. They're also kid-friendly which is nice to note for future visits (sorry if you're one of those people who doesn't like kids at breweries, we're still rollin' up). Service was great while we were here as well. Their beer selections are solid and I enjoyed their hazy. They also have a cider or two on tap as well as a seltzer, if I'm remembering correctly. Recently stopped in here for a date night with the wife…read more We've been looking for a decent replacement ever since Tacoma lost the Rhein Haus. Since my wife is of German heritage, brats and kraut are a thing in our life. The menu here looked really good, so we stopped in our 29th anniversary. I will say, there is a parking lot across the street. For those who've been in the area for a while and remember past times, it used to be a used car lot Luckily I found an empty spot on the street right out front, so I grabbed it. But yeah, parking in this area can be tricky. Just be aware that there is the lot across the street on Puyallup Avenue, the entrance is from "Court A", which looks like an alley but is technically a road. Tacoma is fun like that. So let's talk food. We ordered the Brätzel, because my wife loves a good soft pretzel with some beer cheese. This one states that it's a beer cheese soup, and it was a bit thinner than a typical beer cheese. But it had a really good flavor. It was not gritty at all like some beer cheese can be (I'm looking at you Hops&Drops). I'm not a huge pretzel fan, but I will say that I tried a portion of it and enjoyed this one. The pretzel had a good flavor and the beer cheese soup was great. We also split the Landjäger / Käse Platte. Let's get one thing clear, this thing is bigger than it looks on the menu. There's a lot here. I'm really not sure exactly which of the four cheese were which. If you go by the description on the Käse Platte then it should be Bavaria Bleu Crème, Raclette, Emmentaler and Butterkäse. The Bleu Crème is easy to spot. The rest look similar really. But each had a unique flavor and all tasted absolutely wonderful. The cured beef and pork sausages were good, but the cheese stole the show here. We also shared the Berliner Platte for a main. Again, I can not stress this enough, there is A LOT of food here. the two of us had no chance of eating all this. This plate comes with the following sausages; Berliner Bratwurst, Smoked Cheese, Spicy Cheese, Chicken Andouille & Bockwurst as well as being served with sauerkraut and you get to pick two sides. We chose the Spätzle and Pommes (fries). All of this was amazing. The spicy sausage and the andouille were too spicy for my wife, but we knew that going in. If you have a group and are wanting to sample the many wursts here, I would highly recommend this plate. Now, let's talk service. I don't remember our server's name, but she was so great. Very friendly, very tentative, very good at her job. This was exactly the kind of service I look for when I go out to a restaurant. I don't want some tablet where I'm interacting with a faceless machine, I don't want a kiosk, I want a real person who engages with us and helps make our experience the best it can be, and this place gets it. The staff here is on point, they are good, they take good care of you and the experience made s want to come back. This place is for sure at the top of our list for German food here in Tacoma. If you have not been, you need to stop by. It's not big, it's not fancy, you'll drive right by it if you aren't paying attention. But this place is by far the perfect replacement for our missing sausage haus. We are so glad we stopped in.

The grapefruit radler was so tasty, albeit only 2.5%, but my point still stands. Our server seemed busy the entire night (there was a US world cup game on, followed by trivia). Even though she looked a little overwhelmed, she was FANTASTIC! Answered our questions, always remembered to grab us extra things we asked for, and was overall very attentive. Other work staff were great as well. Would def come back!
