Ever since I started hosting a monthly event at E9, I've become a regular and I don't mind at all. They rotate the beers monthly and change up some of their pizzas on a regular basis. They recently switched out the autumn seasonal pizza (my favorite but hey it's February) which made me sad but at the same time they introduced a stout called "Sad Wings" which left me a lot less sad. E9 has a super comfortable vibe and one of the best things about it is that -- with the exception of the Mariners being in the run up to the playoffs -- there are no screens. It's a place for conversations and getting connected which is exactly why they're the perfect place for hosting Bar Stories, a monthly storytelling event for everyone

I've been coming to E9 for years, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots. The food is consistently excellent, the beer is always top-notch, and the staff are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people around. No matter how busy it gets, the service never feels rushed and you can tell they truly care about the experience they're creating. They also have great merch and events, which just adds to the charm and sense of community they've built. Every visit feels reliable in the best way, you know you're going to get great quality, great vibes, and a place you actually want to come back to again and again. I truly can't recommend E9 enough!

Been here twice. Will 100% be back time and time again. Parking is so so, street parking on neighboring blocks. Indoor and covered outdoor seating. The pizza is absolutely reason enough to come here. Even if you aren't a beer drinker (me), the food and atmosphere are top notch! The husband says the beer selection is also good. So there ya go! Everyone we have encountered working at the counter has been so lovely! Friendly and knowledgeable and welcoming. One lady had the coolest earrings! A must go if you haven't tried and a must go if you have friends or family visiting!

What a great brewery. Great food, great service and great drinks. This is a rare brewery that can offer food, drinks and allow dogs which I really appreciated. Their beer selection is both expensive and high quality. And their food is well above average. The pizza was amazing, but the broccolini appetizer was even better. The only weird thing is that you have to get a table before ordering food, but since it was just me and my dog I couldn't easily 'reserve' a table without leaving it to order the food - especially on a crowded Saturday night. It's too bad they don't offer a QR code option to order, but overall this didn't impact my great experience here.

My husband. And probably an IPA. And wtvr the Special pizza was that day.

Advice : Don't bring a date. Bring someone you KNOW you love. Like your dog! Or your sibling or parent or cousin. Just one! Have a nice meal and a couple of drinks together. Yes even the dog. The folks who work here make it feel like coming home. It's our Happy Place. It can be yours, too.

i live walking distance from this restaurant and i was curious to see what it was about, The food was sooo delicious we for "The radiator" pizza and i was blown away by the flavor!!! truly a unique taste. The man who serviced us was so helpful when it came to explaining the brews and types of ciders they had and let us taste a sample of their cider i ended up getting a glass and loved it !! The place itself is relaxed and a place for an intimate quick dinner or a night with friends. We sat outside and even tho it was rainy and chilly we sat next to a heater and couldn't even tell!! Will definitely be back!

My wife and I have eaten here on multiple occasions and it has become our favorite restaurant and bar in Tacoma. The staff is attentive and friendly I've never had to ask for a refill and they always check to see if we are enjoying our food. The E9 beers are ice cold and delicious! The menu is unique and all the dishes we've tried have been spot on. The interior decor is cool and very chill we love sitting in the bar to eat. I 100% recommend this place for a nice evening out with friends or family.

Margarita pizza...very tasty (but a bit greasy for a margarita).

Greeted with a very warm welcome. I ordered the Margarita Pizza and the Fuzzy Claus beer. Both were excellent choices! Seating is varied. You can sit inside the bar room or out in the brewing area. This place is dog friendly as there were a couple well behaved dogs that customers brought in. I'd recommend this place! Only about a 10 min walk from the Hilton Garden Inn.

We just met friends here and had a wonderful time! The food & drinks were great and all of the friendly doggies were just amazing. We shared a pickle plate, Brussels sprouts, a Spicy Calabrian and a Radiator. The pickly things were juicy, fresh and had lots of interesting flavor. The carrot hummus was a little bit lost among all of the juicy tang but the bite I found with a corner of the fluffy bread was delicious. The Brussels sprouts salad weighed about 5 pounds and was a savory pile of tiny sprouts fired in the pizza oven, piled on creamy burrata and topped with oodles of sweet hot chilies. The Radiator was my favorite of the two pizzas we tried. You just don't see 'roni cups often around here and paired perfectly with the toothsome, perfectly charred crust and the hot honey drizzle. The Spicy Calabrian was a close second though with creamy ricotta and spicy Italian sausage. The cider on tap was a highly unique and delicious peach hot honey that went superbly with the pizzas. If you like beer, dogs, pizza and nice people, stop on by.

Went here with friends who live in Tacoma. Loved it so much we brought more friends when we were driving through. This visit we got the truffle hustle which was tasty with big pieces of mushroom and a good truffle taste. We also got the radiator pizza and the honey was a perfect balance of sweetness to the flavorful pepperoni. They always have a good selection of beers and offered us tasters.

Each slice had this much pepperoni!
    Katie N.

Cute place I liked that you are able to get half pours of their beer. I had one of their ipas that was good. Extensive pizza menu as well. Pizza was legit covered in pepperoni. It was a little greasy.

Perfect beer on a perfect day.

Always a good time here. Great wood fired pizza on the patio and a great selection of drafts and bottles in the tap house. From saisons, to ipas. You can find some very interesting beers here. One of my top 3 breweries in Tacoma!

    Chillin' in the outdoor seating.

Ordering was super easy and fast using the touch-screen kiosk at the counter. Their menu notes that all burgers are made to order with 100% NW fresh beef. We chose to sit at the outdoor patio tables, which was lovely, but the indoor seating and restrooms were also spotlessly clean. We shared two items: the Seoul Burger and the Fire Soul, along with a side of Sweet Potato Fries. *Seoul Burger: Cooked to a perfect medium as requested, juicy, and dynamic in flavor. *Fire Soul: Absolutely incredible! It's packed generously with tender, marinated grilled sliced Korean pork. The sweet and spicy sauce paired perfectly with the crisp pickled cucumber, giving each bite an amazing pop of flavor. Hands down, these are the best burgers we've had recently. Wonderful Korean-American fusion! To top it off, the staff checked in on us to ask how we enjoyed the food, which was such a thoughtful and pleasant touch. Can't wait to come back next time to try the Avoca Soul or Super Bulgogi! Highly recommended!

We just love Out and About Burgers…read more Juicy burgers, savory onion rings, bomb ranch, and sweet seasonal shakes makes this one of our go to places. Drive thru only but don't worry, the line moves fast and the food is always worth the wait.

First off, I'd just like to say that the location is kind of a nightmare. The drive-thru setup is…read morepretty confusing. It's a really tiny little trailer, so I understand they're working with limited space, but having cars loop around in what feels like a figure-eight can be chaotic. People get impatient, start honking, and it's easy to accidentally cut someone off without realizing it. They're just burgers, people--everyone needs to relax a little! That said, despite how busy it was, the line moved surprisingly fast. I ordered a double cheeseburger with everything, a side of onion rings, and a black raspberry shake. The shake was fantastic--definitely a highlight of the meal. The burger was also really good: flavorful, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. The only disappointment was the onion rings. They were incredibly greasy--so much so that they actually upset my stomach. I'm not sure if that's typical, but I probably wouldn't order them again. Next time I'd give the fries a try instead. One thing that really stood out was the pricing. It's refreshing to find a place that still offers fair prices when it feels like everything else costs an arm and a leg these days. Overall, I'd definitely come back. The burger and shake were worth it, and as long as I skip the onion rings, I think it'll be a solid meal.
