Piola is a great inexpensive option for a quick brickell dinner! Everything is reasonably priced, service is quick and attentive, and the food is delicious! For pasta don't miss the four cheese gnocchi, its thick and creamy, sure to fill you up. For pizza, the classics are always delicious, but if you're looking for something delicious try the rio de Janeiro - it's this thick creamy brazilian catupiry cheese with pulled roast chicken. Its a great mix of textures and is my personal favorite. The Napoli is my boyfriend's favorite, its a really strong flavor with black olives, anchovies and sundried tomatoes. I like it too but sometimes its a little overwhelming for me. My other favorite pizza is the Brooklyn with gorgonzola cheese and broccoli - this one is also a lot of strong flavors but its such a delicious combination that its not overpowering. Christmas was packed even with the rain. My husband and I were lucky to be seated almost immediately, but... Our order got lost and our food took forever. Because I've had 2 pleasant experiences dining-in at Piola in the past, I'll give them 2 stars. Delivery and customer service, on the other hand, are not worth your time. Waiting 2 hours to find out they have misplaced my order, being promised within 30 min I would receive my order, and eventually waiting an additional 2 hours to learn my food was never sent out is absolutely ridiculous. Thank goodness for Eat24...they were more than reasonable and refunded my meal when Piola would not. Piola offered a free pizza coupon (worth half my order and only applicable for dining-in), but that doesn't really make up for starving me for 4 hours, right? To top it off, they spoke to Eat 24's delivery service apologizing and confirming my order was sent with the driver (3 hours in), and when I called back (4 hours in) to cancel and complain, they told me the food was never sent out with the driver because they thought I didn't want the food anymore. I'm definitely done with them! I love their food, especially the gnocci and tiramisu, but WARNING! Do not order delivery from Piola if you have plans in the next few hours. Their terrible customer service and deliberate lying won't be bringing me back as a customer. read more

So I have been to Piola by aventura and the service is great and the food delicious . I went to eat to the one in Brickell , there's was only one table when I went I was sitting there for like 15 minutes and nobody went to take my order the waiter actually took someone else order that has just arrive . I've ordered their pizza to go twice and been underwhelmed. I just tried the Honolulu pizza and previously had the chicken and broccoli. The crust is even thinner than new york pizza and the flavors are pretty flat. It's overpriced for the quality, but not a bad pizza. First time here was pretty disappointed. Service was originally fast but turned into being forgotten about. Pizza I ordered came before the drink. Had to wait to get my drink for about 3-5 minutes before I started eating. Pizza was asked for well done. Came out normal. The dough bottom is covered in cornmeal like sand texture which makes it seem very low quality. Pepperoni/salami here has that authentic funky taste which was unpleasant. The food was delicious, albeit a bit pricey for their pizza. My friends and I ordered the ceviche, which was fresh and refreshing and oh-so-good. We also shared a couple of pizzas - perfectly cooked, just enough cheeseand toppings - absolutely delicious. But if it wasn't for their drink specials, I might have felt that we paid too much for our meal. $100 on pizza and ceviche would have burned a hole in my heart... They have the most authentic Italian pizza you can find in Miami. I like the variety of pizza they have,most of them named after cities in Italy, my favorite is pizza Firenze with porcini mushrooms. PIOLA started out in South Beach, over 10 years ago. SInce then, it has opened several locations in Hallandale, Brickell, Ft. Lauderdale, and Weston. Although I visit the Hallandale location more often, Brickell appears very attractive and pricely convenient when I happen to be in the area, which is not very often. The quality of the food is generally good, however the pizza has come doen too low. Bad quality cheese and poor ingredients, making it a crusty shell with who knows what inside. It used to be very good, but the cheese is absulutely below standards. The same with other PIOLA locations. So, this said, I will continue to eat gnocchi every 29, and garibaldi or Danunzio salads, my favorites. Service OK, sometimes lacking common "italian tradition" education among the waiters. And yes, you have to pay for parking. Its Brickelll area. read more

Called for delivery on Sat night, was told the order would take 40-50 mins. We waited almost an hour and a half!!!! It was cold when it got here, not warm but cold! We were told it just left when I call after an hour and 10 mins of waiting, it arrived 20 mins later and was cold. There was also a language barrier and ordering in itself and calling to ask for them to rectify the situation was hard. As a New Yorker living in Miami, I have been hard pressed to find really great pizza. I was thrilled when I found this spot in 2015, and it has become my default go to for pizza in Miami. The spot is in a quiet unassuming strip of restaurants, and it has outdoor or indoor dining - the indoor dining really opens up, the place is deceptively small on the outside. They have a fantastic pizza happy hour with all pies $6 from 5-6pm, $7 from 6-7pm, and $8 from 7-8pm. The pies are excellent, but they can get pretty expensive outside of the pizza happy hour. I've eaten here a few times outside of happy hour and was disappointed at the cost of my meal. This place is a must if seeking pizza in Miami, and definitely go during 5-8pm during the week. Bring friends and share your pizzas and enjoy the host of great toppings my favorite is the São Paulo (regular cheese pizza with tufts of soft Brazilian Catipury cheese). This is one of the worst experiences I've had ordering. I would give zero stars if I could. I called to order and was told i could not order over the phone and that I had to order on line on their app and would get 50% off my first order if I did. So I ordered for delivery and gave my delivery address. They also confirmed initially that they had GF pizza but not pasta. I order online and there was no choice for GF pizza, also no discount was applied. I called back and told them the 1 pizza was GF - the woman then told me the pasta can also be GF! Too late if already ordered. I told her there was no discount applied. After much confusion she told me she would refund my order and was to order again online and add in the code she gave me. I hung up did as told and code didn't work. I called back and was given a different code by another woman and it worked. No food was delivered. I called back 49 minutes later and was told it was waiting for pick up!! I was told I did. It order for "delivery". The app is a delivery app and I gave a delivery address!!! They arranged to send the food. It arrives very cold and without the Caesar salad that I had ordered and paid for. Food was tasty (but cold). I called back. Told them (a) the Caesar was missing - please take it off my bill. Again left on long hold and the she hung up on me. I tried calling back a few time and my call was not answered. I suspect they screened my call. My husband called back on different phone and was answered immediately. I was told the salad was on its way (!!!) and no answer re refunding the first order. At this point I am extremely angry. Still waiting for a call back. The owners of this restaurant should be ashamed and embarrassed by this awful service. I have never written a review like this before but I hope they see this and address their terrible service. I absolutely would not recommend ordering delivery. read more

Hubby and I were craving pizza and decided to try Piola. So glad we went! First, they gave me a flowering plant for Int'l Women's Day--how sweet. We ordered two pies (pepperoni and ham/mushroom) and they came out super fast. Absolutely delicious! Wednesday was also ladies night so I was treated to unlimited free wine. The pours were generous and our waiter made sure I was fully stocked at all times. We also asked for a side of sauce and was given an entire bowl. On vacation in Miami and we had spent a long day walking one of the local beaches. We were completely beat and looking for something close to our hotel and this was on the same block. The staff was very friendly with their hello's and sat us quickly when we walked in. We ordered two of the non pizza entree's and they were served very quickly but it was quite a while before anyone came to check and see how we were doing. I do believe the only reason someone did ask if we needed anything was because of the disgruntled look on my wife's face. It seemed as though the wait staff was far to concerned with dancing and joking with the people dining outside to be bothered with us. From reading the reviews, after the fact, it looks like maybe our biggest mistake was not ordering one of their pizzas. Unfortunately our experience was unpleasant at best and I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. read more
