Brenden was exceptional!…read more We just moved into our home. We had a home inspection and our plumbing came back all good! A couple days after we moved in, we kept hearing the most bizarre sounds in the wall. We researched plumbing companies & Cornels came right up. I reached out on a Tuesday and got a response within minutes! We were able to chat via text which was honestly very convenient. They were able to address my concerns professionally & were soooo friendly. I was able to get scheduled the very next day. Wednesday morning rolled around and I got a text with Brenden's picture, which made me feel super safe and even provided a little information about him. He then called and asked if it was a good time for him to head over and gave his ETA. When Brenden arrived he was friendly, warm, and so professional. He was able to easily see what was going on, explain to me in a way I could understand what was going on, and assured me if we still continued to hear the noise to call back. I truly will call Cornels for any of our plumbing or heating needs!! Brenden was wonderful & secured a life long costumer!

He said ge would not service it because it will only make it a couple of weeks. They charged me $89 anyways. I called and got a refund since they refused to service it. Nice that they refunded money for service they never performed. They gave me an estimate of over 10k to replace it. I called clean air act. They serviced it up and said it's still has a lot of life left. Now 2026 Chris is texting me wanting to service it on a special of $49. Why? So they can refuse to service it again? They only want to replace units not service them. Here is a picture how they left it last summer. Refused to clean it too. It is still running strong.

Since all of our homes were built around the same time, I assumed my water heater was also 17 years old and might need replacement soon. After I sent photos of my water heater and the model details, Ti took the time to look up the serial/model number on the Bradford White website and discovered that my unit was actually only 11 years old, not 17 as I had thought. He texted me back and asked for clearer photos to confirm the manufacturing date. I called him right away, and even though I currently have no issues with my water heater, he generously spent time explaining everything in detail. He told me that Bradford White is a very reliable water heater and that this model generally does not require routine tank draining for maintenance. He also gave me valuable advice for the future, recommending that when I eventually replace the unit, I should install it on a metal drain pan with moisture detection for leak protection. I was genuinely impressed by his honesty, knowledge, and willingness to help without trying to sell me something I don't need right now. He could have easily pushed for a replacement, but instead he gave me thoughtful, professional advice and saved me unnecessary expense. I truly appreciate the time he spent helping me over the phone, and I would absolutely recommend Sutherland to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable professional.

Unprofessional Service & Technical Errors - Avoid for complex systems…read more **Updated to add: The owner is now texting me directly and threatening us for sharing the honest review of our experience. We do have screenshots of this exchange. Please be careful with this company having access to your home or contact information. Original review: Our family chose 7 Pines based on their high ratings to replace a warranty water heater for our elderly mother, but the experience was a disaster. If you have a split system (combined furnace/water heater), I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The issues: Technical Negligence: They installed a new water heater without turning off the furnace. Multiple secondary experts confirmed this likely damaged the heat exchange or resulted in an incorrect hookup. We now have lukewarm water and a compromised system. Lack of knowledge: Despite clear evidence, the owner denied it was a split system, even though we are currently receiving bids to separate the two units due to the damage caused. Failed communication: We were repeatedly told someone would come to fix the issues. On several occasions (including a promised Friday visit), no one showed up and no one called. I had to initiate every follow-up. Warranty refusal: Even though the hot water stopped working immediately following their installation, they refused to honor their work warranty or provide a refund for the service work that they not only failed to adequately perform, but also caused damage to another system. We ultimately had to hire another company to diagnose the mess. 7 Pines lacked the basic technical knowledge to handle this install and showed zero accountability when things went wrong. Please be careful, especially when booking for elderly family members who rely on these services.
