If you're anything like me, and you ignore an obvious water heater problem for probably a year, Joe's your guy. Please note, he ONLY does replacements - no repairs. He's responsive, reliable, and transparent. Send him photos ahead of time and he'll quote you your cost - no visit required just to give a probable quote. In my book, he gets bonus points for having character and a sense of humor! But Joe really knows his warer heater stuff - he explained the root cause of my leaking water valve within a minute of examining my situation in person. My 1990s home builder didn't hire a plumber to do the install and they connected the water pipe from directly inside my wall, rather than creating an "outlet" to connect the pipe from the heater to the source inside the wall, so the pipe could easily be replaced with a water heater replacement. The pipe replacement is what any installer of a new water heater is supposed to do, but because it wasn't setup correctly (more like 'conveniently', for them to replace the pipe) whatever 'professional' installed our last replacement several years ago skipped this... Long story short, Joe corrected the builder's lousy work making it easier for any future plumbers who work on our water heater. Joe sent a lengthy text with his quotes for the job. We had previously owned a 80 gallon tank (25 years old). He said in his text there were no longer 80 gallon tanks available and the quotes were for 50 gallon tanks. I asked additional questions, I had to ask one question 3 times and demand an answer, which had to do with additional charge, so it was important. Anyway if you want someone organized, and to follow through, this is not your guy. I have attached the e-mail spo you can see we had the date set. The warranty on the water heater is through the manufacturer, Rheem, which is the the oldest and makes the highest rated residential gas water heaters. The following prices are for a basic install and are usually cover the total cost of the replacement. (+$29 permit fee) Pricing is based on access with continuous ground level hard surfaces. Basic Install includes picking up the new tank and delivering it to the service address, removing and recycling the old, installing the new thank with all new connectors for water & gas, eq straps anchored to wood structural support and any small mods necessary to make it work. Upon arrival I will perform a thorough inspection and we'll review the results together before any work is done. Options: 6 year warranty $1199 9 year warranty $1299 12 year warranty $1399 All three options are quality tanks. This all started with the knowledge that we have needed a Hot Water Heater for our home for a while. The wife had called Joe about getting a hot water heater. Asking for prices, since we had called earlier to another big name company and got a ridiculous high price. In talking with Joe, she was given two size options of 40 or 50 gal, with warranties of 6, 9, or 12 years. With new technology in the Water Heaters, we decided on 6 years and 40 gals. The quality of the hot water heater put the one that came with the house to shame. The install was extremely professionally done .
