When an implant that was done over a year ago began to hurt, I didn't know who to turn to. I decided to go back to Broadway Dental, since they would have my dental records. I've been coming here to Broadway Dental for as long as i can remember. I've always had a great experience here. Recently the Dang brothers took over as the new owners. At first i was hesitant due to how young they looked. But dont let their young age fool you! You may think due to their age (or their appearance of looking young) that they lack experience, however the Dang brothers have extensive experience and unlike many other seasoned dentists they have kept up with the technology in dentistry. For example I longer need to make an appointment with a 360 degree xray specialist, because the Dang brothers brought this tech into the office! They do it right then and there! Saves me from taking time off from work to just get a full 360 xray. Huge plus in my book! I've done two tooth extractions with Dr. Dang and got the areas prepped for two dental implants. And just two weeks ago I got the two implants done. I couldnt have been more happy and satisfied with the work! Minimal pain, minimal bleeding and super fast recovery! I expected the experience to be much worse but because of the excellent work done by Dr. Dang this experience was simply put AMAZING! Also, they took customer service to the next level! Broadway Dental was able to do both unlike most other congested offices. This was a HUGE plus for me! Cue Broadway Dental- it had the best reviews of them all, did a bit of digging and it also seems like the practice was handed off to two new dentists, Dr. John and Jimmy Dang. Made my appointment through email, got scheduled for the next week (try scheduling AM appointments less wait time) and went in today! Clean front desk, looks modern, the staff was very friendly and kind. In fact, Dr. Dang personally called me as a new patient and asked if I had any concerns, that alone was unbelievable and earned them instant kudo points. I was in and out in 2 hours. Had a cleaning done, x-rays, checkup and 1 cavity filled. Dr. Dang was busy even though it was AM but he still made sure to give me one-on-one time. I had a cleaning last month and three fillings replaced - the staff is very friendly and polite; Dr. Dang is professional, efficient and took the time to answer my questions. I found this dental provider via Yelp after my old dental office forced me to get a 2nd opinion regarding a deep cleaning laser procedure that they wanted to do, which isn't covered by my insurance. Dr. Dang's staff did the same examination and determined that I did not need the deep cleaning, but instead showed me that my old fillings were in need of attention. That level of honesty, professionalism and expertise has earned them a five star review, and my business. I went to my old dentist regularly for over 20 years, but after they were bought out they became much more commercial and focused on selling me stuff; I even noticed that my last hygienist sometimes seemed to be reciting a sales script instead of actually talking to me like a normal person. About as pleasant as a trip to the dentist could go! So, f*** wisdom teeth, amirite? I scheduled a last minute consultation to get my wisdom tooth looked at - I was desperate to get it out. It was my first time to a dentist in this country and I didn't have health insurance, but they were really accommodating nonetheless. Consultation was efficient and everyone was super friendly. I made an appointment several weeks ago. The day before the appointment I received a call from them. They were canceling my appointment because they no longer take Cigna DHMO. I consider this the height of rudeness. My prior dentist switched to PPO and gave 2 months' notice. I was able to go in for teeth cleaning before she was no longer available. They notified me when it was too late in the month to switch to another dentist. I now have to wait until January 2021! Dr Dang chipped my tooth when he was drilling my wisdom tooth out. I called to see if there was anything he can do and wanted to make sure I wasn't being charged for a mistake that he did and all he said was (Not sure yet, I would need to see it.) in a rude tone. It was about time that I went in for an exam and cleaning but because I am new to LA, I am picky about my providers. Also, I knew I had some impacted wisdom teeth that had to be removed. Luckily, I found Dr. Dang's office and it happened to be walking distance from my place. I went in for a consultation and cleaning on the same day. It was quick and painless! I came back for my wisdom teeth removal that same week and was super anxious. I had 3 teeth that needed to be removed. However, Dr. Dang and his staff were phenomenal, they talked me through every step. I was completely numb for the procedure and barely felt a thing! Before I left, Dr. Dang gave me a sheet of post op instructions and went through it with me. Even after the anesthesia wore off, I felt minimal to no pain. I couldn't believe that I didn't feel much discomfort. All my friends had told me their experiences and theirs were much different than mine. Dr. Dang has kept in touch with me everyday to see if I had any questions, concerns, and asked about my pain. This is the first time I've ever had a provider pay close attention to their patients, so I'd definitely say he's an awesome dental provider. 1 week post op, swelling has gone down completely, no pain!
