I had 4 wisdom teeth removed this morning and was extremely anxious walking in. I haven't been to the dentist in over 10 years (I know it's horrible) but with the anxiety that I have and the horrible experiences I swore them off. However, I knew something had to be done after experiencing discomfort in my teeth. I decided to go to Broadway Dental since it was down the street from my home and I am extremely glad I did. Everyone was extremely nice and made sure I was comfortable. I was checked on when I was waiting for the numbing to kick in and never felt alone. When it was finally time to start everything went quick. I only felt one tooth come out and when I said I felt it I was quickly given more numbing to help me feel comfortable. Thank you so much for taking care of me and walking me through it all. And thank you for not judging me and making me feel awful for not coming in such a long time. I appreciate the kindness you all showed my anxiety self and for giving me a positive look on dental work. I can't say I won't be anxious next time since I'm just an anxious person but I do know it won't be because of you guys! After many years of avoiding the dentist I finally decided it was time to face my fears and make sure I took care of my dental health. Dr. Dang was great at making me feel at ease and I never once felt judged for going so long between visits. The staff was kind, knowledgeable and efficient. They didn't try and push me to use fluoride and went over every procedure and cost before proceeding. I highly recommend Dr. Dang and Broadway Dental. The Dang Bros are not only amazing dentist, they are amazing people. I've seen several dentist during my life and Jimmy and John are by far the most friendly and caring dentist I've been too. They are attentive and really take the time explain everything, rather than some dentist who seem to rush you out. What I really liked is that they only recommends procedures that are absolutely necessary rather than selling you services that you might not need. They present you the pros and cons of getting/not getting a procedure done. After getting the information the decision is always up to me if I want to get it done. The office and office staff are also amazing. The staff does a great job reminding you of appointments and if you need to make a change they are accommodating with changes. I am also happy with their billing department. In the past my dental office has always billed incorrectly or over-billed. At this office I've never had an issue with billing. Lastly their office is very clean they use the most up to date equipment. read more

Unfortunately, I have had bad dental experiences in the past. My tooth lost a crown and the work from my previous dentist was horrible. My friend recommended this dental office as I had need of immediate help. Their service was amazing I got an appointment the vert next morning. The office is beautiful and very clean. All staff wore masks at all times so I felt very safe during these scary COVID times. The equipment was modern and the layout was very efficient. Staff were professional and polite. Dr. Dang was thorough and very honest with his assessment. He gave me three options on what could be done for my tooth. I chose to go with the more invasive procedure as I was tired of dealing with this bad tooth. I had several procedures previously and felt it best to just have the tooth removed. I was able to have my tooth extracted, a bone graft, and an implant all done the very next day. It was a great experience and both Dr. Dangs did an excellent job. I'm sure I'm like most who try to avoid the dentist at all costs. I have to say I've met the 2 most amazing dentist ever! I was referred by a family member, and as soon as I called to schedule an appt. the receptionist answered my questions and got me in and my family in right away. Usually I would have to wait a month. My daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled and was so scared. After the procedure, she said she laughed with the Dr. Jimmy and had the best experience. She heeled within 10 days with no issues. Dr. Jimmy sent text to follow up and see how she was doing, to my surprise. I was beyond impressed about how much they truly cared and made us feel like family. I wanted to wait a bit until my tooth was settled before I wrote the review. I believe it's about to be 4 months since my permanent crown procedures were finalized. I came here after going to my CCHC for all my cavities but my dentist went on leave and I was in the middle of either going somewhere else or feeling uneasy with the new dentist. My tooth has a history with everyone in the office, it took the whole staff to give advice and work on it. And after a few visits it was finished and eventually settled in. Dr. Dang (Jim) pulled both my bottom wisdom teeth and did some fills last week. He was very patient with me (I was terrified) and was explaining everything as he went. He sent me home with instructions and what to expect during my recovery. I was surprised when he checked in on me the next day. He's super professional but has a very relaxed and welcoming vibe. I could not be happier, that I discovered Broadway Dental and Dental brother team of Dr.'s Jimmy and John Dang! After years and a couple of try's here in Los Angeles, I feel I have found the dentist (s) I've been looking for! I had been feeling as if my previous dentist's were constantly up-selling me; so much, so, that I didn't feel I could trust their recommendations, due to the conflict of interest. With Broadway Dental and the Dang brothers, I felt no sense of that, and felt comfortable and confidant in their assessment, of what I needed. Hallelujah! My just previous experience was the following: X-rays showed a shading on one of my teeth, that had a filling. Previous dental outfit said I needed a root canal and a crown, despite the fact that I felt no pain....I questioned the logic, as I figured that was a leap, as there may have been no infection in the nerve. They wanted about $1600 for the root canal and crown. Dr Dang agreed that this may not be necessary and excavated the tooth first, to see in a root canal would be required. It wasn't. A crown was all that was needed- $500! Additionally, the brothers worked together on me, and it was a pleasure, every step of the way...the least painful novacane shot I've ever received...they had a device that held my mouth open and suctioned at the same time, so I could relax, and the precision of the drilling was noticeable! Dr Dang even sang as he worked! I've never been so relaxed in a dental chair! Normally I'm clenching my hands throughout, but not here. Super nice relatively young guys and very funny. The staff of Eileen, Miriam and Gabby were quite pleasant as well. Either Jimmy or John actually cleaned my teeth, as well. OCD has a home in a dental office, and I couldn't be happier. I've been going to Broadway Dental since the late 1980's. I have dental insurance that covers just the minimum so I needed to find a dentist that I feel comfortable with and will work with my financial situation. I tried different dental offices including Western Dental. I found a flyer advertisement for Broadway Dental and i gave them a call, made an appointment . I'm so satisfied, pleased and have 100% confidence in whatever dental procedure I needed. Recently I made a dental appointment and my suprise I found out the Broadway Dental was under new Management. I had my 1st teeth cleaning procedure and everything went well and I was very satisfied and felt comfortable and confident that the new dentist will be my dentist for many years to come. Recently (last week) I had my 2nd dental appointment and procedure and this time I was pleasantly surprised that in this visit as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted in such a positive manner with friendliness & professionalism. The whole office of employees along with the dentists Jimmy & John came over and greeted me like I was a family member. As for my 2nd dental procedure I could feel the care and attention the dentist took in cleaning my teeth. I would and will recommend Drs. I'm so thankful for Dr Jimmy Dang and impressed by the level of service provided. I had an emergency situation where my gums/face swelled up, and luckily I was referred to Dr Dang's office. He let me know what was causing the pain/swelling and was able to do a procedure that same day. He made the procedure so smooth and easy and made me feel right at home. I came in for my first visit and right than and there I trusted them to have 2 implants surgery done on the same day (state of the art dental equipment felt like I was in the future). Today I got an email from Broadway Dental asking me to write a Yelp review. Well, here it is. Initially I made an appointment through ZocDoc with Dr. Young Kim for a teeth cleaning but never received confirmation. I called the office to confirm before going in, and they had no record of the appointment somehow...so I had to schedule by phone for another day. Dr. Kim wouldn't be in the office, so I opted to see Dr. Sadeghi instead. On ZocDoc I had selected "teeth cleaning" as my reason for visit, but on the phone I was told that they don't do cleanings for first visits. I wonder now if they do this so they can upsell you on unnecessary treatments on your second visit. I went in for my appointment. Despite pre-filling all my forms online through ZocDoc to save time, I had to fill in their paperwork. X-rays were taken by the dental assistant then Dr. Sadeghi took a very quick look at my teeth. In addition to a teeth cleaning, she said I would need to get a laser gum treatment since my gums were bleeding easily. I've never had a single cavity or been told this by a dentist before...but at the time I wanted to do whatever seemed best for my health. She had a strange coldness to her manner. The receptionist had me come sit with her in a closed room to go over paperwork to agree to the gum treatment and cleaning. Altogether the procedures would cost hundreds of dollars with over $400 to be covered by me. She said they require a deposit. I asked, "how much? So 50% of the total or...?" She said "whatever you want! All of it...or $100?" I put down a deposit for the procedure I would be getting the next week - something I would soon regret. It was odd not to have any system to the deposit amount. As I looked over the papers, she spent an unusually long time talking with me about Christmas plans. At the time I: 1) wanted to invest in my health 2) I felt like I shouldn't be suspicious of somebody taking the time to make conversation. After I left, I had an icky feeling despite everybody there seeming "nice" to my face. It felt inauthentic, and I felt deep regret over agreeing to schedule this treatment and putting down a deposit. This whole process reminded me of when I was buying my car and the saleswoman kept trying to upsell me on warranties and all sorts of costly features. After processing the regret and having a dream that night about untrustworthy people putting their gross hands in my mouth, I cancelled the next morning and asked for a refund of my deposit. They said I had to come into the office to sign a refusal sheet. So I did, but that was the nail in the 1-star Yelp review coffin. Overall: I don't trust these people. Their approach felt slimy. I'll definitely be more cautious with dentists in the future. Not going back here. read more
