    #11 the Honey Roquette

I'm in love with this place. All the foreign treats: chocolate, chips, cookies and did I mention snacks?! If I can, I would love to try all of them. Before your basket is full, you have to stop by the deli counter and order yourself a sandwich. I had #11, the bread was hot pressed croissant panini, but it's savory and a hint of sweet. I can't wait to try the others. Mine comes with fresh mozzarella, cooked spinach, pesto sauce and more... you'll have to try it.

Obsessed with this squeezy sheepdog toy!

I love Pirate O's so much, it feels like a place tailor-made for me. The coolest thing is that it's just sitting smack dab in the middle of an unassuming suburban neighborhood. Blink and you'll miss it. This store has all sorts of cool stuff! Grab a basket when you get inside, you're gonna need it. Here are some of the neat-o finds I've purchased over the years: original strawberry BB Bats taffy, super spicy pineapple hot sauce, Italian olive oil, chopsticks shaped like a T-Rex, a Sylvia Plath stuffed doll, vomit-flavored jellybeans, imported gingerbread from Germany, local creamery cheese curds, a miniature Christmas train set, atheist-themed mints, a butter sculpture shaped like a rabbit, a coffee mug that changes color, a pirate hat, a kitty cat flour sack towel, a dress-up Jesus magnet, sugar free vanilla soda, lemon flavored lip balm, and so much more! The real reason to come here is if you love candy. Pirate O's has an amazing selection! They import candies and other goods from all over the world, and you will likely find what you want here. I can't even list all the stuff they carry: toys, games, trinkets, pasta, sauces, home goods...the list goes on and on. I could easily spend hours just browsing here. The shelves are packed full with all sorts of good stuff. Do take note of the expiration date before you buy. With such a well-stocked store, employees can sometimes miss things and you'll buy an out-of-date item. Another pet peeve of mine is that while they carry an impressive selection of craft sodas, there are only a handful of sugar free or diet flavors. It goes without saying that Pirate O's is one of the best places in the world for gift shopping. They have gag gifts, useful gifts, and gifts that will suit any taste and budget. If you can't find something here that a person will love, then there is no pleasing that person! One of life's simple pleasures to me is grabbing an artisan soda off the shelves, popping it open, and sitting outside on the store's front porch on a lovely Utah summer afternoon. You can also grab snacks at the deli or even candies, cheese, and more to enjoy on property. Their parking lot is all dirt and the store ain't fancy, but it's a Utah icon. This is a must-stop if you're in the area.

If you love discovering unique foods, snacks, or specialty ingredients, Pirate O's Gourmet Market is a MUST-visit in Draper. This place is an absolute treasure chest -- every aisle is packed with global treats, imported chocolates, artisan cheeses, specialty sodas, unique pastas, hot sauces, cookies, and nostalgic candies you can't find anywhere else in Utah. It's the kind of store where you walk in planning to grab one thing... and suddenly your cart is full because everything looks too good to leave behind. The selection is unreal. They carry items from all over the world, and everything feels curated with care -- from European chocolates and Japanese snacks to rare sauces and gourmet pantry staples. Their deli is fantastic too, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and always happy to recommend new favorites. Visiting in December makes it even better. The holiday treats here are unmatched -- limited-edition candies, Christmas chocolates, peppermint goodies, advent calendars, and festive imports that sell out fast. The store feels cozy, lively, and full of holiday spirit. Pirate O's is one of the most charming and unique markets in the Salt Lake Valley. Whether you're a foodie or just love exploring, this spot is absolutely worth the trip. Check out our video https://linktr.ee/reessroots

What a neat place! Looking for candy, special ingredient, specialty snack? Come here I can see myself coming to buy chocolate or a special snack or gift for someone. Some items are more expensive than regular store. I enjoyed coming here. Id like to try their sandwiches next time.

Fun candy from other countries, spices, horse radish cheese, cookies and coffee syrup!

This place is freaking amazing! It looks unassuming and small from the outside, but every time you turn a corner there is another room CHOCK full of ingredients and packaged goods from another country. I had a blast going through it today and picking up some fun items. They have items on sale usually under a dollar. They call these plunder alerts. Most are in the candy aisles (YES! There are aisles and aisles of candy from other countries!). I bought most of these plunder alerts just so I could try something fun. I also bought spices, coffee syrup, and horse radish cheese! Oh my gosh! I've lived in Utah for 10 years and I have sorely missed horse radish cheese! I used to buy it periodically in Washington state when I lived there and I was so excited when I saw it I had to stop myself from buying it all! (And yum, I've already had some of it!) And, I found Coffee Crisp. Which is a candy from Canada. I used to buy that all the time when I traveled in Canada all the time for work in the 90s. So fun to pick up items of nostalgia and new things to try! It is pricey, but you have to figure most of this stuff comes from other countries. If you haven't been here, be prepared to spend a while just looking at all of the amazing types of food! (And yes, I bought a lot of junk food, but there is lots more stuff there!)

I have yet to enjoy a sandwich here, but I will say this. If you are looking for that one ingredient you can't find. They have it. It you miss a certain candy from another part of the world, they have it. I, in particular, enjoy all the Haribo options. I also love all the imported cheese. I have yet to be disappointed.

Hidden Gem Alert! I was just driving to nowhere and look what I found nestled in this residential community Wow! This is truly a specialty eclectic gourmet food store that has food, beverages, unique salsas, candies, edible crickets and worms, amazing sandwiches and I got a large iced latte with 4 shots! I am gettin' stuff done today for sure. They also have smaties and a variety of other European snack candies. People are super nice both customers and staff. This is a go to destination for all you foodies. Outdoor seating on the porch with gorgeous views of the Wastach Range. Lots of parking available

There weren't many people here at first but now there's a vibe and Norte Dame just ran a long Tad run and the crowd erupted with cheers. But let me get to the important part. This food is amazing! I mean it in the true sense of the word. Outstanding job kitchen. I had fish and chips. Bite sized nuggets of fresh, never frozen Cod. This is the best fish and chips I've had in Utah. Come see for yourself. The chips are in house made potato chips and that fry sauce is not your typical recipe. I'd drink this as a shake. Don't judge me but I had an order of smoked wings with Thai Chili sauce and the other half with spicy BBQ... blue cheese dip with fresh carrots and celery. Delicious food! Wow! The liquor is top shelf. I like bourbon and this place has a Blanton's! And Whistle Pig and Jameson 18 and the list goes on and one. They've been open five weeks and if they keep this up, I see only success with this location. Good for you guys. bout time. Rock Stars- Adam behind the bar and Rebecca, the fantastic server. Yes! Oh! I got a pizza to go. I4 toppings... $16!!! I've paid twice that at two pizzas chains. Highly recommend this new spot in Draper.

We waited ten minutes in line to order, but that wasn't enough to warn us and it really didn't seem so bad. No warnings from employees were given to us about how long this would take. As we left the register towards the seating area, I counted 7 unbussed tables- we were forced to sit at the only table without either ample trash or people. I only saw two employees, neither of whom moved with any urgency- more of a lazy afternoon pace. The table of teenagers next to us exclaimed to one of them, "What is going on in the kitchen back there?!" Don't get me wrong, everyone was kind, just...not at all service-oriented towards a very hungry crowd. I did finally see some tables "bussed," but they were not wiped down or disinfected in any way. Which doesn't give me hope for the cleanliness of the rest of the place. At minute 45 of waiting, my husband went to ask what is going on, but had to wait in a line to do so. At one hour, we finally got to the register and said, "If you haven't even started our food yet, we'd love a refund." We got a refund. Hallelujah. They were kind about that But that also means we had waited for our food for an entire hour and they still hadn't even started it or come out to explain- nothing. Not even an apology. What we did get was a quiet resignation. We felt really bad for the girl working the register. I rated the food 3 stars bc I know it's good in Ohio, but we didn't actually ever get any served to us. But the worst part is knowing a place I love from Ohio is failing me. An hour and a half (30 min round trip and an hour of waiting) of my life I'll never get back.
