I have been to other Dinner and Show's. But this one was my favorite over all the other ones I have seen. The acrobatics they did were really good. The seals and dogs portions were cute as well. The food was actually pretty good. But I do prefer the ability of using eating utensils instead of my bare hands! . But they do give you a nice wet heated towel at the end to clean up with. I am a pretty good guy when it comes to acting foolish. My son is an Eagle Scout and I was an Adult Scout Leader for almost 20 years. So I am used to performing for children. There was a small girl, about 3 years old, sitting next to me in her mother's lap. Every time I would wave my flag and cheer she would stare at me. So I started talking to her in my best "grand father voice." Got her to smile and start waving her hand in the air when everyone else was cheering. Her momma smiled at me for making her little girl happy. Funny how that was one of my favorite moments of the show. read more

We bought tickets for a party of 7 and had our 5 month old daughter with us. Online it does not state you cannot bring a car seat in with you. So after carrying her across a couple football field lengths of parking lots the people at the door were extremely rude and told us we could not come in with her seat. After paying the amount we did for a KIDS show we were turned away with no refund and were told we had to pay for a dinner for a 5 month old that cannot even eat that food. I will never come back to this overpriced dinner show again, save your money and do something else with your kids. If you have kids that are young don't even waste your time. read more

This was my first time at the Myrtle Beach location and it was a letdown . The Pigeon Forge and Panama City Beach locations were both consistent every time I went . Myrtle Beach none of the actors sing the songs like the other locations just lip sing . The acting and acrobatics are great just the lip singing takes away so much from the show . We always pay for the vip and the other locations open the doors and seat the vip's first and then the next groups as follow . This one they opened the doors and just let everyone flood in and nobody helps you find your seating . There were multiple other VIP groups who paid for the VIP that also did not get their meet and greet . We were all told to go up stairs to a section and wait for the meet and greet , all groups waiting never got their meet and greet . We all waited until doors opened and we were told to go find our seats . Complete disaster for seating and complete disappointment not getting the meet and greet we paid for , 4 tickets for VIP are not cheat . The photos at this location were shot on cellphones and they still charge you thru the roof absurd pricing for them . The one picture was $36 (I believe )for the cell phone photo . The server we had Shaq (yes like the basketball player's name ) was an amazing server , very attentive , polite , joked , played the part and an all around awesome guy . Food was consistent like the other locations . This location was definitely better at cleaning up plates and such that both the other locations . The pre show was pretty good at Myrtle . This is not a traditional restaurant, as it's a comprehensive experience that involves some family activities and a lot of entertainment. I haven't done one of these types of shows since I was a kid on family vacations. Now that I'm a father of two my wife and I decided to treat our kids to something similar. During our trip to Myrtle Beach we took advantage of this pirate show. I'm not going to get into all the details with the actual performances, because that was perfectly fine. What I really want to focus on is the food since that is the thing I'm reviewing here. There are different meal courses based on dietary preferences (gluten free, dairy free, or vegetarian/vegan). We chose the vegetarian option which included a lot of multi-grain rice, quinoa, steamed vegetables, buttered corn, mac and cheese, biscuits and soup. You also get an option to finish your dinner with a coconut cake or apple pie. My favorite things were the soup, biscuit and mac and cheese. Everything else was pretty basic, but I was very unimpressed with the vegetables which were obviously frozen and pre-packaged beforehand. This was not a cheap dinner, and even when you factor in the fact that we got to watch a live show I didn't feel like it was worth the money that we spent on this. And yes they probably have to cook for 1,000 people a show, but freshly made sauteed veggies would have been nice. Beyond that I highly recommend doing this with your family at least once. Also you can't go wrong with the desserts, and the portion sizes for everything was amazing so you're going to have a lot of leftovers. The show is pretty good and entertaining, the acrobats are really good. The food is not good, chicken with no flavor and it's a one big piece that you have to cut with your fingers. I saw two people that didn't touch the chicken and the ham, they were vegetarian. Also, the same fork you used to eat your food, you have to keep it for your dessert, wow. The apple pie is filled with mostly apple cream and not apples. You are way too close to other people; a man on my right side was coughing without covering his mouth and I stopped eating my food right after, I literally just started eating, so, 3/4 of my food was wasted. The place looks amazing, it's well organized and has plenty of parking. It's good to see it only once, you don't have the urge to go back. read more

Honestly there is no bad seat in the house, but it you want to be in front of the action, I recommend VIP for front row. Preshow You can arrive a few minutes early to enjoy a photo opportunity and a pre show of singing and dancing. During this time you have free seating on the lower and upper level with an exclusive VIP section for the VIP Seat holders. You may also purchase drinks during this time or shop in the gift shop. Show 10 out of 10 Singing, dancing, and acrobatics. They also had a few live animals such as a seal and birds. Food Soup, bread, half of baked chicken, Mac and cheese, ham, and dessert. Wasn't sure what to expect, but gauged this would be something similar to medieval times. In one way, yes it was, but it was so much more. With a ton of acrobatics, this felt more Cirque du Soleil mixed in with medieval times, but based on the water. They did have animals come out at various time including parrots, sea lions and dogs. They do state on their website that they treat the animals as well, but I read some questionable remarks from locals on their animal welfare which makes me cringe. Very entertaining for both children and adults. The seating did not feel cramped and we did not purchase VIP nor did we have regrets once we came in and saw how it was set up. Honestly, no matter where you sat, you would be able to see all aspects of the "stage". The food wasn't terrible and I actually think they did pretty good job keeping the chicken moist which can be tough when you are feeding a crowd. I loved the soup and biscuit. Was not a big fan of the corn. Mac & cheese was OK. Dessert delicious. Our server was having an off day as we struggled to get beverages, but it all came together at the end. I suggest trying to find a discount code in the local coupon books to help offset the cost. What a great show for kids and adults alike. The show is billed as a pirate show but it's far more..... it's a combination of action, high flying gymnastics/acrobatics, swashbuckling and throw in a few sea lions to boot. My whole family was engaged from the moment it started until the end and kept talking about it for the whole ride back to the resort. Our server was Crispy Bacon and he was on it all night. He was attentive and when there was a mixup on the meal tickets he resolved it. We had ordered a vegan and a vegetarian meal but they didn't give us the correct tickets to signal that to him. Kudos Ctispy for doing right by us. The food was good not great. There is a ton of it. I mean I'm a big guy and I was full. The kids can't eat all their food so plenty to go around. The drinks are pretty standard bar drinks. You can get them in a souvenir cup for an up charge. We would not hesitate to recommend the show to coke again if in the Myrtle area. read more

Decided to check this dinner show out since we are into pirates. We purchased the VIP tickets which gave us entry to meet and greet with cast members, lanyard, and we got front row seats. They also do a photo shoot for you when you enter but we didn't like any of the pictures ($35 if you buy the first and 2nd was half priced). The have pre-show where you can buy popcorn and different drinks, visit the gift shop, see the mermaid and take photos, and even get your face painted ($24.99 for face painting). The staff was friendly but not as enthusiastic as I would expect from being to other dinner type shows (i.e. tournament of kings, etc.). The servers were efficient. Now we were pretty impressed with the food. The soup and biscuit were delicious and our favorites. The ham, chicken, Mac and Cheese, and corn were also very good and flavorful. We tried both the chocolate coconut cake and apple turnover, which both were good but the apples turnover was better. The drinks included are coke, water and sweet tea. The food we got was probably the best and most plentiful of any similar type shows we have been to. The show itself was very entertaining and a great variety of acrobatics, theatrics, special effects and lights and special appearances by flying parrots and Salty the Seal. The entertainers were all very talented and entertaining. Personally, unless you have kids, I would just go with the basic ticket and not the VIP ticket. Ahoy Mates! What an amazing experience we had at Pirates Voyage Show! This adventurous dinner was an unforgettable experience! We purchased tickets in advance for the 6pm show. We arrived at 5:20pm to catch some of the pre-show performance. When we arrived, we noticed they had metal detectors prior to entering the building which made me feel good. One of the benefits of purchasing in advance, is we were able to show our tickets and walk through instead of stopping to purchase. We were stopped right past the purchase counter to take souvenir pictures. Once we got to the back where the pre-show was happening, there was nowhere to sit on the lower level. We stood in the souvenir shop area and watched what we could see. There was an option to go upstairs to sit but we didn't. They opened the doors to the dinner show around 5:45pm. There are quite a bit of stairs. I did see signs for elevators as well. Once in the main area, I was amazed at how real everything looked. The service was phenomenal and flowed so nicely. The entire process of when they brought food out and the timing was seamless. I must say that there was a lot of food. I didn't feel rushed but there were times when I stopped eating because I felt like I didn't want to miss a moment. There were also brief times when the lights were too low to eat. I'm not a fan of eating in the dark. Haha. The food is as delicious. Whenever, I know I'm going to eat at a place where everyone is getting the same thing at the same time, I worry about the flavor of food. There was lots of flavor. The tea was sweetened just right. There were packets of sugar for people like my husband who love tea with their sugar. The soup and biscuit paired well. We weren't given spoons which I realized pirates drink soup from the cup. Haha. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The ham was true ham (kinda salty). All the sides were delicious. Oh, and there were gluten free options as well. The entire show was phenomenal! There were pirates, mermaids, sea lions, and lots of acrobatic performers. I mean bravo from start to finish. They even had a glow in the dark section. They had some of the audience be a part of the show which was pretty cool. The only negative thing I have to say is be prepared to sit cozy and close. And once you're in, it's hard to get out. Excellent show. Excellent experience. Five stars for everything except one part. Do not purchase the add on skull mug. No one wants the responsibility of serving it to you. When we arrived we were given tickets for the mugs and told to take them to the bar. A man downstairs directing everyone said to take them upstairs to the bar. When we got upstairs and seated, the waitress said we had to get them downstairs as the bar upstairs was closed and couldn't get them for us. My husband purchased the VIP experience so that we can be close down on the floor level and be apart of all the action. We were running late and came in right before the show was supposed to start. So they took a picture of us when we walked in and took us straight to our table. When you come early, they have a little pre-show entertainment while you wait to be seated for your show time. With the VIP, we were supposed to get flags and the lady at the check-in told us that they didn't have any more flags. I don't like not getting what you paid for. However, one of the waiters inside was able to get us the flags. The show comes with a prefixed dinner. They do not let you modify or substitute. They bring buckets/trays of food and serve everyone one by one to put the food on your plate (kind of like an assembly line). The servers work fairly quickly to get your meal served and not be in the way of the show. I was happy the food still came out hot. We started with a creamy vegetable soup that was surprisingly very tasty! We dipped the biscuit in it . They give you half a chicken (you cannot choose white or dark), ham, corn on cob, and mac and cheese. Even though the menu was very simple, the flavor was good! Luckily hubby and I like opposite cuts of meat, so I gave him the breast and took his leg quarter. We aren't big fans of corn because it really doesn't have any nutritional substance. Our waitress was nice to get us some of the steamed veggies that comes with the vegan menu. I finished off with the Apple strudel for dessert. The show took me by surprise! It was very action packed and interactive! All sorts of acrobatics and flips! The show was going great until they hit a standstill with the sea lion during the show. He stopped following commands and just kept swimming. They tried to play it off initially but then literally had to stop the show and get a trainer to come and coax him out. But he was not having it! It was more than 30 minutes of trying. He would come out to eat the fish they put as bait and was smart enough to know they were luring him. When he got close to the gate, he would turn around and jump right back in! The crowd was also so annoying clapping for his defiance. Eventually they restarted the show, but had to modify everything so they weren't jumping in the water anymore with the sea lion in there. Eventually the cannon noises scared the poor thing out and he ran to the back. I feel like we missed parts of the show that they cut out of the storyline because of that snafu. They have to stay on a timed schedule because they had a show time starting right after us. If it wasn't for that delay in the show, I would have given a 4 star rating. At the end, there wasn't any apology or partial refund for the sea lion delaying the show and the tickets are not cheap! This is the reason for my 3 star rating. read more

A truly colosseum like experience, with amazing fun performances and really good food. The performers a really skillful, some doing acrobatic jumps and summer salts in the water, others performing hanging on rope, climbing poles and playing with fire. In between there are live animals joining the show as well, multiple sea lions, dogs and artificial sea animals. The crowd interaction part was really entertaining where participants join in different competitions for their teams Crimson (Red) and Sapphire (Blue). I was really surprised at the quality of the food they served starting with an excellent quality biscuit. Then got a giant piece of jerk chicken, then a pork slice, a corn and a scoop of mac and cheese. Later two were the best items among all to me. The meal ended with apple pie or a coconut cake. The servers were attentive through out the night and did an incredible job of serving all guests while also participating in the show at times. This was a really unique live experience show for me. After the show ended, the exit was through their gift shop. It had some really cool pirate style merchandise and apparels. This area also has huge dining space and a make area where performers get ready for the show. read more

Always a good time for everyone, we've been here several times over the years but it was my daughter's boyfriend first visit to the beach. We were giving him the full tour. I ordered the tickets online with a discount and opted for the souvenir mugs for the pre show. (I do remember the pre-show being longer) but it was still funny. The menu had changed up a little bit since we were there but still good. Roasted chicken, mac n cheese, corn, slice of ham, cheese biscuit with veggie soup, then a choice of dessert apple turnover or chocolate coconut cake. The show was great and some changes to it too. The pre show was funny but I would probably skip it in the future. However having front seats during the show I would pay extra for. We took a group of 10 people ranging from 67 to 5 years old. We had been to something similar in Arizona with knights and jousting. The dinner was as advertised and was very filling. The drink selection is very slim, but also was as expected. The acrobatics of the show and the atmosphere were amazing! Unfortunately we went during their Christmas show. While I love throwing a Jesus theme into anything...the show had a Scrooge and ghost of Christmas past theme going on with pirates lip singing...then Mary and Joseph and Wise men started walking around ...then somehow it went to dancing toys which were just humans in scary costumes. It just was a stretch and it didn't hold my son's attention ages 17, 12 and 7 like I had hoped. They liked the fighting and flipping but wished there hadn't need the other random acting and singing (lip singing) parts of the show. read more

The food isn't great. We had to ask twice for booster seats but I was really glad they had them available. The show is SO FUN and the acrobats/aerialists are so good. I absolutely loved the seals. Perfect for kids. When ordering I felt it was more expensive than expected (for a week day show) but ultimately found that it worth it for the experience. I got my 2 year old his own seat/meal but there was so much food that I didn't want to eat and he wanted to sit in my lap part of the show anyway, I could've gotten away with putting him in my lap and not getting him his own ticket (which is allowed for 2 year olds and younger; they don't get their own meal). read more

First impressions: Ample parking, easy entry...staged into a pre-show area that serves drinks Pre-show was entertaining. Got to mill around the gift shop. After a while, everyone was Directed to the main show area. Seats were arranged amphitheater style in long rows of "tables." There is no private seating. You are arranged in rows with all the other guests. We got the "premium" upgrade so we were the 2nd row from the "stage" area. Each section is assigned a server, who also happens to be part of the show at times. Free beverage options, included with the meal, are limited (water, sweet tea, Coke, and Coke Zero). Anything was from a cash bar option. Food was served gang style...the server would come along the row and just dish out from a large pan onto your plate. We had a biscuit, soup, a chicken leg quarter, a slice of ham, a small cob of corn, Mac & cheese, and a dessert option (either an apple turnover or a piece of chocolate coconut cake). All in all the food was good, but nothing spectacular. The show was ongoing while you were being served and eating. The show was excellent. So much to look at and take in. Very entertaining. The "stage" consisted of a large pool (water) area with a trampolined area along each side of the water. There were acrobatics, boats, cannons, live animals, and much more. While I truly enjoyed the evening, I still believe it to be overpriced for what it is. For 2 of us, with the "premium" seating (which only meant you sat a few rows closer) it was almost $180. While this would be great for a family, it is going to cost you an arm and a leg. There is also an option for your kids to get a "pirate makeover." That, of course, is an extra charge on top of everything else. There is also a VIP option for the show, which will cost you even more. It was fun. The show was great. Decided to come here for my grandson. Didn't really know what to expect. Got there early so we could participate in the pre show activities. There is a big gift shop, seating for the show, a bar with snacks and drinks, including alcohol. Also an area to get made up like a pirate! My grandson got that and it included a sword and a flag for his team! Once we headed to the area for the main event, we were surprised how big it was! Soon as we sat, our server came over and greeted us. First drinks then food. A lot of food is served so be prepared! The show was amazing and kept you intrigued. Lucky for us we got chosen to join the show! It was great!! The only thing disappointing is you don't have assigned seats, just sections. What they don't tell you is the seats are first come first serve. Even though we had premium seating we still didn't sit in the middle. The show itself is amazing, with nonstop action from start to finish! The arena with the pirate ships, and its many props, is fascinating. The cast members are extremely talented and look like they are having fun. The food was plentiful and surprisingly good! Hint: You may want to bring some plastic utensils from home. You are only given a fork. Worth mentioning: The seating might not be comfortable for everyone. You sit on long benches with a long table in front of you. That was okay but I can't imagine how you would get out if you needed to. I'll be honest. Before attending the show I may have questioned the price.
