Such good slice of pizza. Jada was my server, made sure I understood everything and I appreciated that. The shop really gives ma and pops pizza, I love the vibe. Could never go wrong with a pizza from there. Shout the server Jada, always a good experience with her.

First time trying this place, hard to find a good pizza around here that isn't thin crust. Messed up my order but remade it fast and told me to keep the original mess up. Thanks for accommodating. Update: changed my review to five stars, you have a new customer. The dough/crust was perfect and just look at the salad.

Went here for first time for pizza. This is a great place to come for pizza. I got the 2 slices meal deal and then bought a meat lovers pizza to take home. The service was good. The ambiance was nice. The food was delicious.

It's worth a try. Pizza was the best thing there that we tried. Personally, i prefer thinner crispy crust but still this was good. I would try more of the pizza. Tried a salad and hubby tried steak sandwich. He said the sandwich was ok but plain ... honestly wouldn't get it again.

50 people fit comfortably in the 4th Street banquet room upstairs, and the ballroom is even bigger!

PISANELLO'S 4 LYFEEEE!!! Their pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and extra sauce, dipped in garlic butter is absolutely extraterrestrial This has been my favorite pizza since I was a little kid and it honestly just gets better with time. This neighborhood staple is no frills, but serves up the most quality pizzas day in and day out and does it with the kind of wit, ease and familiarity that only comes from family. Why throw your money at those big chains when you could invest in a family run business that loves giving back to the community? Plus If you have a little extra time, there's an amazing little vintage shop and record store (Double Play) just a couple shops down. You won't regret making this your go-to! BIG EVENTS! They have huge banquet rooms that are super affordable to rent out above the shop for family reunions, birthday parties, etc. The ballroom is gorgeous and historic. I threw my dad's 60th bday party upstairs and it was AMAZING! Anita and the catering crew made everything easy for me, and the manager downstairs even threw in majorly discounted and rushed pizzas when we ran out of food halfway through the party (he had a reaper ready in under 15 mins). Such a kind, generous guy. Thank you for continuing to serve the best pizza in the world, gang!!!

Get delivery once a week. Food is always great. Delivery takes longer than other places but worth the wait.

Wow what an incredible place! Wife n I went for lunch and it was amazing! The cookies just came out…read moreso they were our appetizer! We're adults so why not! What an incredible cookie!! The white pizza we thought would be bland but was exploding with flavor! We both didn't expect to like it so much. The vodka roni was incredible! Perfect spice to pepperoni to ricotta balance! I think they forgot the basil on it but was still amazing! How I found out about this place is a funny story. I went to st Francis apizza in Cincinnati and the owner there recommended red bird to us. We love their pizza so we had to make the drive to where they recommended and boy were we glad we did! The crust in our opinion was the star of the show here. The toppings were amazing sauce too. But the crust is possibly the best crust I've ever had. Save room for cookies! They're worth it!! Will be back soon!!

Friends said, "the best pizza ever!" I love pizza. Spent my career traveling and have eaten pizza…read moreall over the world. Including Chicago, New York and a thousand other places. So took my wife there the same day. Everything looked good. Ordered large pizza. Took a while, but that's ok, if pizza is hand made and delicious. We sat down and server brought pizza to table. Immediately it was obvious that much of the perimeter crust was WAY over baked. Not just golden brown or dark but large areas were BLACK, as in charcoal/ carbon BLACK. Should have immediately rejected the pizza but for unknown reasons decided to not make a fuss. Couldn't believe the server sat this down with out saying something! Maybe just, "Sorry, it's a bit over cooked." Or "Eat the middle, and we will discount the price." But nothing. So we ate around the charred areas. As we were leaving, I asked the young lady at the counter, if it is normal to have a burnt crust? She smiled and said, "yes, we cook them very well. You can request that we don't cook it fully." I just shook my head. Quite a shame as I was so excited to have a really good pizza location close by.

So, a friend recommended Pappa's as there has been a bit of a change in management. I live north of…read moreDayton, so this was my first chance to try it. I ordered a 12" pepperoni, thinner crust, to go; boring, I know. Biggest issue for me was that I had to smell the deliciousness on the entire drive home without being able to dig in. I got home and was pleased with how well the pie held up, even as I juggled it getting through my door. The cheese and toppings stayed firmly put. The crust was excellent. Thin, but still substantial enough to carry a piece loaded with cheese and pepperoni. The real star of the pizza though, was the sauce. I am not a fan of sauces that are too sweet or too salty. This was a perfect savory without overwhelming the pepperoni and cheese. I highly recommend Pappa's. If you need a stack of pies for a meeting, or just to grab a pizza on the way home, this is a great place to meet those needs. However, if you're driving 26 miles home like I did, you should just eat it there rather than torturing yourself by smelling it all the way home.

I ordered double cheese, and they definitely understood the assignment. They were incredibly generous without it feeling overdone. The thin crust was good, but next time I'll order it a little crispier. I was a little nervous to select the "burn the pizza" option when ordering--I wasn't quite brave enough--but now I think I'll give it a shot! The tossed salad was fresh, crisp, and huge. It was easily enough for two or even three people to share. I also had the mushroom steak sandwich, and it was a pleasant surprise. It wasn't the usual smushed, greasy mess you sometimes get with steak sandwiches. The ingredients tasted fresh, and it was flavorful without being heavy. My only disappointment was that they were out of their fudge. I was really looking forward to trying it! Thankfully, the cashier kindly substituted cookies instead, and they were a tasty consolation prize. With so many neighborhood pizza places to choose from, I'm happy I finally gave Pappa's Pizza Palace a chance. It definitely earned a spot on my list, and I'll be back--with enough courage to click that "burn the pizza" button next time!
