Goodfelo's gave us a quote of $75-$150 for the diagnostic fee which seemed reasonable compared to others. We had the check engine light on and also the TRAC off light on, they charged us $75 for our diagnostic fee. They started work on Monday and we had the car by Tuesday morning. They replaced a coil that went bad and our spark plugs which weren't causing the problem but they said they were very old and recommended it. I like that they ask you first what services you want them to perform before they just do it. Our total for diagnosis, the coil and the spark plugs was $600.

Originally, I had her and her twin brother bringing their cars back to South Florida for me to do routine maintenance. Then while her car was parked at her apartment, squirrels or rats climbed up and chewed the fuel lines coming from the pump at the tank. With the parts I needed on backorder at the dealership and no junk yard local to Orlando having her vehicle model in it, I was stuck. Auto Tender to the rescue. From the first phone call, to them handing us a safe and running car, I was more than pleased with our experience. They even completed the job under the original estimate price. So for the last 3 years; my daughter's, son's, nephew's, and a few of their friend's cars have all gone to Auto Tender for everything from routine maintenance to big fixes. The staff here were friendly and professional and I was in and out in pretty much no time. As I said, it is not cheap. The cost for a full synthetic oil change with an extra quart of oil comes in at just under one hundred and twenty-five dollars. I did have a coupon, which dropped it down to just under a hundred dollars. Just to be clear, you pull in and stay in your car as they change your oil. I was there just as they opened and was the second one there. They have three bays, so I pulled in just as they opened. Again, this was a convenient way to get an oil change and with a busy schedule, this might be the way to go. However, again, it will cost a bit more. I am heading out on yet another business trip either Sunday or Monday, so it was worth the extra money to just get it out of the way.

I got there at 11:57pm and told the employee that I'm using that app, it took forever to check me in due to the guy helping me being new (literally his first day) and the process is different when using the car advisor app. I think I finally got checked in at around 12:20ish pm, my car didn't get pull in until after 1pm and idk when it was done but I didn't leave 2:17pm It was instantly busy, everyone had an appointment and apparently all at the same time. When I arrived, they were having trouble with one guys car. One couple had a 10am appointment and were there for over 3 hours! As I was checking out, a customer from the morning came back because the issue wasn't fix and it seemed worse They don't have a lot in stock so they obviously need to order the parts but they seem like they have trouble getting them. I've heard an employee say it could take 2-5 days to get the part but heard multiple calls asking when/why hasn't their car part arrived yet Lastly, not really pep boys felt.....a customer literally brought their guitar with them and started singing. I went to a mechanic down the road, an independent mechanic, but still a mechanic, and they looked at what they were going to charge me, and what they were telling me was wrong with my car, and, most of it ended up being way overpriced by like four times and some of it ended up being not a big deal at all or not even there. please, I beg of you save your money I know that some people are nervous to go to independent shops but there are so much good mechanics just right down the road from this Pep Boys who charge way less and show you exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. And not only that, some of them also, give you warranty on the parts that they replace for your car. This place is not worth it at all. Please go spend your money somewhere else because in the end it will save you almost $1000 less!!! I learned this the hard way! adding to this, they always try to manipulate you no matter what, which is just completely horrible of the workers. I get if they make some kind of commission off of this, but I was not going to go through with a procedure, and the Mechanic, who was dealing with me, while he was printing out the quote for me, spoke to the other Mechanic and said " oh you're that person that didn't get this replaced, they ended up getting in a really bad crash right after they left our shop" it was obviously tactic, and I wasn't going to fall for it.
