    Chicken Fajita Pita
    Kelly S.

Delicious as always! My go-to is the chicken fajita pita without lettuce. Restaurant had social distancing measures in place, signage, limited seating, mask, sanitizer. The cashier wasn't the friendliest... but I didn't want to count off for that, you never know what people are going through.

    Chicken Kobabs with double salad.

I've pretty much been a Ghassan's guy for a quick mediterranean fix for lunch - kabobs, double salad - low cal and filling. BUT, after lunch today, this place just move ahead, way ahead - on quality, on quantity, and on menu variety. Our mainstay for this type of lunch has always been the 2 Chicken Kabobs with double salad rather that FFs ($8.69), and the platter here was great - the chicken was perfectly cooked, not at all dry, and there was plenty of it. The salad was nice, though a little more dressing wouldn't have hurt. The pita was also excellent, and plenty of it, as well. We also tried the Mediterranean Platter ($8.99) which provided a nice variety of items - spanakopita, falafel, grape leaves, pita, hummus, fajita sauce, & cucumber sauce. Al were good to very good, except the spanakopita which had a doughy consistence and little taste. The fajita sauce with the falafel was a very pleasant flavor experience, and the grape leaves were tasty, not at all mushy. I enjoyed this platter for the most part. They offer a nice selection of homemade salads, and some intere4sting sandwiches choices - including a burger in a pita. Like the competition (Ghassan's, Taste of Troy, Jack's, and Mykonos), this is not the least expensive lunch in town, but the food tastes freah here, and the portions are well sized.

I've never had a bad meal here. I am basically a vegetarian, and they many vegetarian options. Might I recommend the falafel platter. It is all on a bed of lettuce. Falafel, grilled onions and mushrooms, feta cheese, dressing. Yum!! I'd never before had a grape leaf, but I got some on the side to try. Yum.

Double Chicken Skewer/Double Salad: Pita Delite

First time I've visited this Pita Delite, I'm usually down the street at Ghassan's for my usual double chicken skewer & double salad, but decided to stop here & see how the two compare. The double chicken skewer with double salad I had from here was very good, the salad was very fresh & crisp, but the feta cheese was almost non existent & what little was on the salad was tiny tiny crumbles, really more like crumbs. The chicken was nice also, good flavor from the herbs, but desperately lacked salt, which gave the chicken a degree of blandness even with the herbs it was cooked with. It also comes with pita bread which was great. Pita Delite has some good lookin' items on their menu, I'll definitely stop back by & try more of what they have to offer, but I'll probably stick to my usual spot for my chicken skewers & salad.

Ordered a mini Camille's salad, no tomoato. When I got home, I noticed I had not only tomato on my salad, but also pickles, olives, and peppercini peppers. On top of the salad, was a very stale (yet warm) pita bread. So stale, it felt like toast. I called back and spoke to Gabriella and explained my order was wrong and that I was en route to have it replaced. She explained that the Camille's salad now comes with those toppings. Oddly, they are not on the menu. I would suggest they update the menu board to reflect this. As soon as I walked in, Gabriella emerges from behind the counter with a new salad in hand. I immediately saw the tomatoes and shared that the salad was supposed to be sans tomatoes, but I could live with them and would just pick them off. The pita bread was warm atop my salad but I HATE wet bread, so I asked for a slice of foil to put my pita bread in. When I used to come to Pita Delite, the pita bread would come in foil. Guess times have changed. I will be honest, I was shocked to see that my salad was ready. I guess they were being proactive. Mind you, I live 15-20 min away. So, I head back home ready to devour my salad. I have been intermittent fasting and my fasting window ended at 1145. It was now 145, so having not eaten for 18 hours, I was starving. After I remove the tomatoes, I attempted to put a bite of salad in my mouth. Allof the chicken was cold. Sigh!!! Oddly, the other chicken salad, made it to my house with warm chicken atop the lettuce and other ingredients. This one did not. I did phone back and tell Gabriella that I was highly frustrated with my experience today and would like a refund. She understood and requested I come back to speak to the Manager and get my refund. I explained that I was too hungry to return for a 3rd time right now; instead, I am going somewhere else to get a meal. She said they close near 8 and I explained I would bring my salad back before the day was over for a refund. All of this for a $6.39 salad. I am so agitated. I have always had nothing but pleasant experiences at Pita Delite. Today, they fell absolutely flat and at the cost of my gas and time. It will be a while before I recover from this. In the meantime, back out I go to find some food to curb my appetite. **deep sigh**

    Receipt

I use to love coming here. The food is still amazing. They are getting stingy and prices seem to be rising. I ordered a double kabob platter which use to come with tzatiki sauce. I asked for extra at the counter today because they usually charge for extra. I saw on the receipt they charged me for 2 and only gave me 2. If it usually comes with 1 sauce and I order a double shouldn't it come with 2? 13% of my meal came from extra sauce.

"Consistency Matters"…read more The food is delish, let's start there. This hasn't been on my bingo card for a while and boo hoo! The garden pizzette and chicken shawarma are fan favorites for a reason. Chicken Shawarma is a (IMO) well seasoned cinnamon forward profile that delivers a tender chew. Don't let the cinnamon description deter you. The flavor is complex, savory, and very good! The garden pizzette is delicious. The perfect mixup of feta, mint, tomato, and cucumber...Chef's Kiss (dip in hummus and/or tzatziki for that extra, extra added flavor). We also loved the tzatziki/lebnah sauce. Perfect balance for our Americanized palate. My biggest complaint, would be consistency. I ordered twice in one week. Each meal was delicious, but noticeable different. Not a huge factor, but one I thought worth mentioning. Bread was whole wheat ... cool/ not a problem .. but also not my preference. All in all, a darn good meal! Sold side options. Fast casual Mediterranean/Lebanese : 4.5

I was going to be closer to the Raleigh location this past month so I decided to go to the Raleigh location and see if they could do the same as cary. I went in and asked a young man he said that should not be a problem for me to put in my catering orders and then have my payment done a certain way at the register, as they usually do, in cary. I placed my order and got to the register and then the very nice girl that was there was going to ring me up. She wasn't sure how to manually enter my credit card information that I needed to give, so she asked what I'm going to assume was her manager or whoever was in charge that day? The woman turned around and looked at me as if I walked in and started in her face. Her face was so disgusted, twisted up, and snarled with disapproval. She asked me, with a huge attitude, "what was going on here?". I politely explained the situation, which is that, at the Cary location our company pays over the phone when I arrive. I handed her the phone to give her the credit card information and she was speaking to my boss (who is a very world-renowned doctor) about the payment info. She was so rude to him and said "well usually we don't do this but we'll do it this time". I informed her that from now on, since it was such a problem we will gladly go to the other location or just another restaurant in general. The younger people at the register were extremely friendly and polite and really made this experience the most positive thing from this whole trip to this location. As I was leaving the female who had the attitude earlier did say that she " was sorry, and that she just didn't know what she was walking into". At this point, I really did not care about an I'm sorry, because I will never go back to this location. I don't care who or what she is, but if she doesn't know what she's walking into, then the best idea for her(if she had any business or common sense)would be to approach it in a professional manner and not with a stank attitude. I have worked in doing catering sales, amahing businesses, throwing events, and ordering multiple catering orders for other businesses that I run. I have never and would never, approach anyone like this if I was uncertain of any situation. It puts a really bad look on their whole concept. I have already talked to multiple people about this and told all the physicians that I work with. I have also discussed this encounter with other people who do multiple orders for catering and other event networking groups. I will never be ordering from this location again. I hope whatever they do, they get it right, and start hiring people who appreciate having a job, to make sure that no one else feels so turned off by someone like this. I'm only giving a two stars for the Friends League kids that were at the counter and at the cash register

I usually order the two chicken skewer kabobs with rice, a super salad, and the jalapeño cilantro hummus. The hummus is *so* good that I often grab a small container to take with me when I travel. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients, especially with olive oil as a base. They offer both fresh pita and gluten-free pita, which is great for anyone with dietary restrictions. Honestly, I could make a meal just out of all the sides--they're that good. The menu is consistently solid, and I feel like you really can't go wrong with anything you order. It's a perfect spot for a low-key lunch or dinner. We ordered the grape leaves, baklava, namoora and tabbouli. I am Lebanese and these are staples in our home. The grape leaves were extremely dry and tough. The rice was very undercooked and the leaves themselves were so dry and tough we could barely chew through them. We ordered 12 and thought maybe it was a fluke but all 12 were completely inedible and we threw them out immediately. The baklava was okay, nothing to write home about. Very simple syrup forward and you couldn't taste much else (we ordered the walnut). The namoora was stale. Very dry. Namoora should melt in your mouth with with a slight chew. This was again, tough and stale. We threw those out as well. Lastly, our favorite salad, tabbouli. The lemon taste was nonexistent. The parsley wasn't chopped fine as Tabbouli should be. It was a watery mess. Overall, we won't be back. We spent over $75 on 4 items and left feeling hungry and bamboozled. There are other Lebanese food spots to visit in the Raleigh area, I will stick to those. Please do better when representing Lebanese cuisine. 15 workers behind the counter can seem like you're doing something right but in the end, it all comes down to the freshness and authenticity of what you are claiming to serve.
