Typical Greek lunch cafe ... nothing special and, if anything, overpriced and not Greek enough. I was told at the counter that Greek fries were fries with feta cheese and tzatziki. Instead, what showed up on my plate was American Fries with essentially Lawry's seasoning... nothing Greek about them. read more

Came to this spot to grab a quick lunch and it was a a solid Mediterranean spot to visit. The place got quite packed so the food took about 25 minutes to come so I'd recommend ordering early. The inside was clean, and decorated beautifully. The servers were nice and fast with taking the orders at the front. read more

I've been here few times, I guess I never reviewed this place. Nice little cozy restaurant. It's been here for a while far as I remember. We wanted something different so we decided to come here for dinner. Friendly staff, not too busy Saturday night. Price seems pretty good for what you get. Ordered the trio-kabob special and lamb chop. I wish they had lamb shank special, but oh well. Even the lamb chops were little on the small side, oh man. So darn good. Nice char and seasoning on the chop. Probably one of the tender lamb chop I've had at a restaurant, grilled perfectly. Rice was not bad, little on the blen side but still good. Salad was yummy. The trip-kabob came with lamb, beef, and chicken, all were nice and tender and flavourful. Over all food was yummy and I definitely come back here for that lamb chop.. So yummy. read more

I've been coming here for years to enjoy the Greek Salad with chicken kabob or the Chicken Kabob Gyro. It's always been a favorite place of mine but I feel like the quality is slipping a bit. Speaking of the salad: they give you an ample portion of the chicken but it's often cooked so that it's dry. On my last visit I was confused by the feta cheese. (My favorite part of the salad.) Instead of being crumbly it looked odd - like miniscule shreds. I've never seen feta look like that. Even worse, they were so stingy with it I felt compelled to ask for more at the counter. (They charged me $1...) The low quality feta made me sad. I can say that the workers here are very nice and helpful, so there's that. read more

They are tender, & perfectly cooked amazing. From this place I have pretty much tried every item. And every single one was good. Their menu is larger than life. You think of it....they have it. Comfort Mediterranean, like fries, baklava, Burgers they have it. Now think more traditional and they have it too. People love this place. Always someone coming in and out. I recommend this spot. Cafe Mix was always an excellent dependable Greek inspired restaurant/takeout! That being said, the past several times I have eaten the food it has gone completely downhill. This is most likely due to new ownership? I usually always order the Greek Salad with Chicken Kabob. Originally the kabob was always chunks of perfectly grilled tender & juicy Chicken. The Greek salad always had lots of feta, whole pepperoncini, olives, tomatoes, etc. This past time I have eaten there , it has been unacceptable. The chicken is now cut into thin slivers and when grilled(?) Is dry and tough as shoe leather. The feta on the salad was nowhere to be found as was the pepperoncini. There was also a total of 3 olives in the salad and not even a teaspoon of tomato. Saddened to see a really good restaurant go downhiil! Needless to say I will not be ordering from this restaurant again! read more

I found Cafe Mix when lunch plans a friend suggested sounded bad (outdoor only when it was 119°), so said friend told me to suggest some other place in the area. I scoured the general area looking for restaurants. Cafe Mix fit both of our dietary requirements (hers vegetarian, mine omnivorous), and we both like Mediterranean food. So we met here. I arrived early, and I was hungry, so I ordered the dolmades. They were really good. Service was super fast. When my friend arrived, I got a gyro without onions. Everything was fantastic. Their hummus is good. I really liked the gyro meat. I can't say I'll be back because it was so far from where I live, and I have a Greek restaurant by me, but I do recommend coming here if you are in this area. read more

They still hadn't started making it after 30 minutes of waiting and the cook was touching personal items, then the food with no gloves, and proceeded to cough all over the food on the grill without covering his mouth. My son and I visited on Thursday. I rarely go to lunch. We were celebrating. He loves Greek and I'd been eyeing this spot when in the area. We didn't have to wait long to place the order. They have plenty of seating. We were served quickly. My son scarfed his down and said he enjoyed the meal. I was able to eat mine for lunch and dinner. My only complaint was I wish there had been more than one olive in my Greek salad. I wish there would've been baklava or some other Greek desserts available, too. This is a good place for a gyro, honestly the best I've found. I like to add pickles to mine for a nice crunch and flavor. Their Greek fries are also a go to with my fam. Stopped in 9/16/23, an early Saturday evening, based on a friend's recommendation (she said it was one of her top three places for Mediterranean). She lives nearby, we do not (but we will, and many times have, driven 30+ miles for food). Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. Cafe Mix was a lose -- it was not worth the drive from Laveen. There simply was nothing overly spectacular about Cafe Mix to make it stand out from other places. We had friends recommend this cute cafe for superb gyros so we traveled up from Queen Creek to give it a try. We had tzatziki with pita bread, falafel, lamb gyro and lamb combo dish with baklava for desert. The place is adorable and extremely clean. The staff was very personable and made us feel welcomed. The food was delicious! My sister from Alaska enjoyed the food as well. I will certainly drive up to give them our business again. Give this place a 5 star for all around great food and service! Quick review mostly for the owners of the restaurant. Have been going to this restaurant for 6-7 years probably 4-6 times a month. Have always enjoyed the food. Tonight I was informed that if I wanted to use a credit card there would be a 10% charge. This is absolutely unacceptable to me and I may never be back. If you need to charge more than change your menu. Normal credit card fees are only 2-2.5% not 10% not even close. I mentioned that this will impact the help as people will be less inclined to leave a tip after this new charge. The 2 girls agreed. Not sure what you're thinking but I can guarantee you will lose many customers over this. Have not been to your Cozy Corner restaurant in a while but sure hope you did not do the same there or you will lose more customers. Not sure what you are thinking but might want to rethink your current business plan. Just horrible decision. Good luck read more

A true 5 stars for me. Been coming here for years. This is one of those rare places that just gets it. Clean restaurant with fresh high quality food at a good price. Their Greek salad with lamb kabob is my go to. I think its the best salad in Mesa. Lamb is cooked perfectly every time. They also give your dressing on the side so you can add the amount you want. Fast in and out counter service so you can have healthy fresh food without breaking the bank or wiping out half your day. They do have burgers and fries too incase some in your group don't dig salads. Couple things they could improve on ....they are more of a lunch place and quality isn't quite as consistent at dinner time as it is at lunch which seems to be perfect every time. Also when ordering a salad to go they put the meat right on the salad rather than on the sude and the lettuce can get a little wilty by the time you get home but I am nit picking here. read more
