We couldn't have asked for a better experience on our most recent visit to Pita Jungle! The service was incredibly fast and personal, which made coordinating with our larger group basically painless. I love all of their food, but I got the Mediterranean Chicken Salad which was an absolute monstrosity of a salad. I had enough for about 2.5 meals, no joke! Is it best food ever? No, but it's not bad- very comparable to any other big chain take out place. I did enjoy our meal as we sat at the bar and the bartender was so lovely and welcoming! I had the salmon salad and my partner had the soup and gyro. The salmon salad was as expected- salmon was well cooked and it was a good portion size. A friend and I decided to grab an early dinner here before attending a concert recently. We started off by ordering a small cilantro jalapeno hummus to share. Their hummus is either a hit or a miss for me, sometimes it's just right, other times it ends up being way too salty. Thankfully, it was just right on this visit. Since we had an event to go to after, I decided to order a "safe" option and went with the wood-fired Norwegian salmon. The salmon itself was fine, not too salty or dry. The garlic-herb smashed potatoes were delicious as always. The entrée itself was of decent size, big enough where I wouldn't feel like I'd need to purchase something to snack on at the venue later on. Since we came during midday, they weren't that busy. Service was fast and attentive enough that our glasses were never empty. I came in for lunch today very disappointing experience. Kayla was extremely rude and dismissive, and the service was slow and dismissive. We sat for 10 minutes without any greeting, menus, or drinks, despite there only being four other tables in the restaurant. When we were finally acknowledged, we were told, "I'll be there soon," with still no sense of urgency. At the end of the meal, we were refused to split the check and told that it would take 10-15 minutes just to split the bill into three checks for our three meals. This location is my favorite because of the cozy ambiance and kind service. Our server was killing it (forgot to ask his name), and the other employees were awesome as well. Staff is friendly and professional. The restaurant is nice and clean. I love the curry chicken salad, that is usually my go to order. The taste of curry is not overpowering and all the ingredients are nicely paired together. I have also tried the family platters, gyro, falafel wrap, gluten free brownie, and cheesecake. I can't believe I've never reviewed Pita Jungle. It's one of my neighborhood favorites! I enjoy checking out the artwork on the walls. It is ever-changing and they feature local artists. There is a large patio for outdoor dining. The menu is huge and there's always a small seasonal menu with new dishes to try. They have a happy hour menu with small tapas for as low as $2.00 each! Some of my favorite menu items are: lentil soup, hummus trio, salmon salad, nachos, and the veggie burger. My boyfriend enjoys the flatbread. They have a nice array of caffeinated and non-caffeinated teas. I am taking off one star for their complicated online ordering system (I always just call in my order!). Also, if you use a Pita Jungle gift card, you have to bring cash for the tip. You cannot put the tip on the gift card for some reason. read more

Pita Jungle is a 11/10 every time in my book. The best value for big portions of delicious Greek style fresh food in the whole Valley. I've been to multiple locations and they're always consisitent. This one is my favorite. The staff are so friendly and the patio is wonderful even when it's hot due to the shade and the misters. I will slowly be working my way through the entire menu because the entire thing (and it's huge) looks amazing. read more

Visiting family in the Scottsdale area and we felt like eating Mediterranean. My brother suggested Pita Jungle. I ordered the gyro and my husband ordered the turkey pesto lavash. My overall rating is a 3 1/2 stars only because the gyro is much smaller than what I've had at other similar eateries. Highly recommend the California Beach Lavash Wrap. I replaced the turkey with the grilled chicken and recommend doing so. The Lavash portion is huge and great for two meals. It was packed with vegetables and chicken and extremely flavorful. We split the Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus for an appetizer and I would also recommend getting it. I also got the Mediterranean Mule, I wouldn't recommend getting it unless you like a really sweet mule but it was fine. read more

I had a very disappointing meal this afternoon at Pita Jungle. I ordered the grilled chicken pita (which you can also have it as bowl) for $1 extra, which I didn't see the small print. The item read greens, brown rice, chicken. The bowl had very, very minimal greens - maybe 4 pieces. The rice was yellow, not brown, and the chicken was way overcooked and dry. What a waste of money. We ordered from Pita Jungle for an early Saturday dinner through Uber Eats. The food arrived without a bag which was very unpleasant. Before even opening the pizza I could see that it was going to be a greasy mess from the stains on the box. The Kafta beef was like a soup of grease and with all the cheese the crust was not even close to being crisp. We used to really enjoy Pita Jungle, but as of late, their lack of quality and attention to detail is putting them on the same level as all of the other chains in the valley, mediocre at best. Oh. My. Goodness. This place is so delicious! I went to the original Pita Jungle in Tempe over 20 years ago and never forgot the lavash pizza--so thin and crispy. I came today to the Pita Jungle in Scottsdale and was so happy to find out that it has only gotten better!! The cilantro jalapeño hummus was just the right amount of oomph, not too spicy but very flavorful. I got a fire-roasted vegetable salad, and let me tell you, the flavors are so good. There were tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, all on a bed of lettuce. It's a warm salad and wonderfully savory and tangy all at once. My husband got the chipotle chicken lavash pizza, he loved it. Our waiter, Koy, was friendly and attentive. I can't say enough good things about this place. There is outdoor seating with heaters, funky artwork, good atmosphere. Loved it!! read more

Didn't dine in- this review is for take out. Was staying at a nearby resort for a few days on a staycation - normally eat at the arrowhead pita once a week. The hours for this location said closed at 9pm so we chose to put in a to go order around 8:20pm to make sure we could get dinner but not be the jerks that make everyone stay late. Called in my order in front of 6 adults - clearly gave my order over the phone - I order the same dishes every time I eat at a pita. Confirmed my order before explaining my SIL would be taking the phone to place her order. There were 3 of our families who got rooms together nearby. When we arrived at 8:48 to pick up the order everything was combined and we were confused so we tried to verify what was in the order - the girl at the register became agitated started speaking so fast we couldn't understand her and then slapping our pitas on the counter in piles counting them like WE were idiots. I told her it's hard to figure out our orders because they were supposed to be 2 different orders and she kept talking too fast. Like she had no intention of actually helping us. She retorted "well I didn't know they were supposed to be separate". I figured out She was missing half my order - got an attitude and said the kitchen was closed so she didn't know if we could get it made but she would check. She then walked over and asked kitchen to make another order like we were the problem. I had to follow her over to point out she was still missing another order! I ordered 4 plates. The very first thing I ordered and then said " I need 3 total of those". (I had 2 adults with me who I was asking - didn't I say "3 of those - total of 4") I was in the pool all day so I kept doubting I ordered right ‍ They heard me say it clear as day when I placed my order. She was then rude to my SIL and told her the kids meal she ordered she could only get an apple juice because all the drinks were dumped. She wanted a sprite? You dump out the fountain drinks? There were still customers at a table so we were not the last in there. I just don't understand what the issue was - are customers a problem? This is the 5th location I've eaten at and I'll never go here again after being treated like crap for placing a take out order that was more than $130. Not counting my SIL order. There was NO apology. NO understanding. NO consideration. Instead we got sassy eye rolling and attitude from someone who sounded like a Barbie stuck in fast forward because she refused so stop rambling off the same thing over and over though it wasn't helping. My visit to Pita Jungle on Friday was absolutely wonderful. I went there for lunch with 2 of my co-workers/friends. We were there at around 1:15pm, the restaurant was pretty full on the inside. We decided to sit outside. I was slightly skeptical that we will be comfortable with the heat but to my surprise (and my friend did tell me this), it was really nice and cool with the misters, I was even wearing a light jacket and still felt very comfortable! We ordered our drinks and looked at the menus. The shawarmas caught my attention (I love shawarma!). There were two shawarma options, one wrapped in the lavash bread and one regular. When I asked the waiter about the difference, he said the lavish bread was crispier so I went with that. It didn't too long for the food to be ready which is something we appreciated on a lunch break. The wrap was huge and it was served with a Greek salad on the side. It had garlic sauce/paste in it and I was a little worried about it tasting a bit too strong (originally it is supposed to taste strong), but it didn't. It was more like a sauce with a hint of garlic. I really enjoyed the wrap. It was so delicious, I actually finished the whole thing despite how big it was. The salad was also fresh and crisp and the feta cheese tasted great. When we were done, we rushed out the restaurant. The waiter thanked us on the way out. Just before we got to the office (which is pretty close), I realized that I had forgotten my phone at the restaurant! We called the restaurant immediately, and just as my colleague was saying "..and we forgot...." the person who answered the phone said "your phone. It's right here". Phew!!!! I was so worried it would be stolen. This would not have been the first time something gets stolen when I forget it somewhere! (My phone, and 2 pairs of sunglasses were all stolen when I forgot them in 3 separate occasions. Sad). We returned to the restaurant and the waiter said that he went out looking for us trying to find a car running or something to try and give it to us. When he didn't find us, he gave it to the manager. This was a beautiful lunch with a beautiful atmosphere! Thank you Pita jungle for the great food, great service and for saving my phone! This is our go-to place when we want to get a way a bit from the Fountain Hills dining experience. The food here is, all fresh, scratch made, and absolutely delicious. My wife had the fire-grilled Mahi Mahi, and it was outstanding! Perfectly cooked and nicely contrasted with Pico and an Avacado hummus. I always, have, the grilled cauliflower with Tahini sauce and, Chicken Tikka Masala. Both outstanding every time! If you haven't eaten here, you're missing a treat! read more

We had some family that was killing time at our house before heading to the airport, so we ordered in. We got the hummus trio which came with some extra pitas. Each of them were good in their own right and the pitas were pretty decent as well. I got the chicken shawarma. It was really good. The garlic sauce I got on the side was not very good, so I just didn't put it on my pita. Everyone else got various chicken pitas or falafel and really enjoyed them. We got an order of the baklava as well which were not bad. We have been here a number of times before and each time the food is solid and gets delivered pretty quick with no issues. We will go back again to try other things on the menu. read more

We have two big events in town (waste management open & the Super Bowl) and everywhere is much more packed than usual right now. That said though, my server Britts - who was also the bartender, working as the only server in the place and handling all of the to-go orders - made sure my water was always full and was very attentive and quick. Found this place to be intriguing ... fresh, fast food at a reasonable price. Decided to drop by and check it out. Interesting place, very active take out business and unique set up for on site meals. We went about 7 pm, the sun was down and it was at little on the cool side. Found a table close to the kitchen area. Ceiling fans were running full blast in the open environment so it was down right chilly. Surprised the staff didn't realize how cool it was. Another party complained the the fans were turned off. We ordered the tomato mozzarella basal salad as a starter. It was generous and dressed with a tasty balsamic dressing. I would order it again. Everything was fresh and had an attractive presentation. We followed with the pesto mushroom mozzarella lavish with chicken. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication and the chicken didn't make it out of the kitchen. That was fine, we ate it as it came to the table. No problem. The issue that concerned us was the fans and cool temperate made it impossible to keep the lavish warm. We even tried covering it with a napkin. Ended up taking it home and reheating. We finished up with the vegy carrot cake. It was excellent and was a nice finisher for the night. To our surprise the manager ended up at our table with the bill. He explained he heard about our lavish mix up and he wanted to make it right. Which he did in a very generous way. We were impressed. Really impressed. We will go back a few more times before we head home. Highly recommend with the understanding that staff and management are very responsive when made aware of issues. Idea for the manager: Your fans appear to all be on one circuit. I would offer an option that would have the fans in the kitchen area on one curcuit and the fans in the seating area on a different circuit. I can see the need for more circulation in the staff/kitchen area. Seating area could be run at a much lower speed. Would not cost much to make the change. Just an idea. read more

I usually go the Pita Jungle on 75th Ave and Bell. Met a friend for lunch. Walk-in the girl tells us to sit where we like. The chairs were small crappy metal and very uncomfortable. There was 1 server for everyone. Not very organized. E got the hummus trio to share. I got the falafel and so did my friend. We couldn't find the server when we were ready to leave so we brought the bill to the front and there she was. I would never come back to this location. read more

Super great experience! I stopped in for a quick lunch shortly after the restaurant opened. I ordered my usual grilled chicken pita and was pleased as I always am no matter what pita jungle I visit! The pita was full of grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. I also requested a side of tzaziki which I think adds some additional flavor to the grilled chicken pita :) Service was excellent. There was a "Please seat yourself" sign as I walked in so I sat rather close to the kitchen. I was greeted shortly after sitting down and immediately offered a water or beverage of my choice. The restaurant was not super busy, but people trickled in every few minutes and the waitress was still able to handle greeting and checking in with every table in a timely manner. My food came out quickly as I am use to at Pita Jungle and one of the things I love about this restaurant when you need a quick and healthy sit down meal. When I was finished, the waitress asked if I wanted another refill of lemonade, and though I said, "No," she offered a lemonade to go and well that was a really nice option! Was a little hesitant after the last few reviews read, prior to deciding on where to order, but figured we'd go ahead and try it out. Cannot believe the over-the-top amount of chicken and filling for the pillowy soft pitas that we received in our 3rd-party- delivery order! Everything was packaged well, and EXACTLY AS ORDERED!!!! There was enough filling for 2 pitas! When handled much, they will begin to tear,.. So we wrapped them in foil to make them easier to eat! We also suggest possibly ordering a 2nd pita on the side, just in case of making 2 pitas out of the 1 order, or for lunch the next day! The Sides of Tahini Sauce and Garlic Sauce we're very yummy!
