Where should I begin? There are a few things wrong with this place. First of all, it's too expensive. Eight dollars for one pita not including chips and a drink? That's disgusting. I'll have none of that. Second, the sandwiches are half a foot long at max. Third, the pita was cold. It would have been nice if it was warm. I mean, maybe I'm going a little too far here, but if I paid top price for food I want something worthwhile. Fourth, I had to go somewhere else for lunch because I was still hungry. I guess that coincides with my second complaint, but that's a big problem. Next time I am going to Subway across the street to get a footlong. I would advise you to do that as well, unless you have something against chain restaurants. Which in that case, I don't even understand why you would go to Pita Pit in the first place. read more

Well, this is a restaurant I go to when I'm just hungry. It's an inexpensive place with a great selection of entrees. A step up from Subway and a great draft beer price. Located close to LSU campus and open late at nights, this is a very convenient place to eat. read more

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't mind blowing either. The staff had a very friendly attitude and worked well with each other. This was a step up from subway but more money. I asked for cucumber sauce however it was just plain sour cream. I guess I wanted more of a Greek and Lebanese style. My son really enjoyed his food but he's a subway junkie. Not bad just not what I expected. I would eat here again because it is obviously healthier lifestyle than eating jack in the box. read more

You can get super healthy pitas for after a workout like the hummus pita and load up on their awesome selection of veggies and also indulge on pitas like the southwest chicken after a long night out! We called from work for delivery and 35 minutes after they took our order, (about $26 and the order was taken by the manager) the restaurant called back and said that it was a $60 minimum for delivery. I had called BEFORE we placed the order and asked what the minimum amount for delivery was and was told $10. This is a crock! I've ordered from the Pita Pit before and enjoyed it, but not again. The delivery minimum of $22.00 is ridiculous. I placed my order at 6:55, to be delivered at 7:30. When I hit submit, it changed the delivery time to 7:45. Fine, I can live with the extra 15 minutes. It's now 8:10... still no food. Not worth it for the prices. I will definitely just go to subway next time. I just called 8:15 and it's just leaving now. I didn't even get an apology from the guy on the phone. Seriously??? I ordered a pita online and they delivered it before schedule...but it was wrong. So i called and the manager said she'd have them redeliver it correctly. A half hour later the girl brought my food and wanted the old one back i told her that i tossed it and she insisted so i got it out of the trash. Then she didnt want to take it. I wish i could rate just the manager because she was helpful but the practice of taking wrong food back is dumb. And if you want to insist like that you have to take what you get! read more

I really do love pita pit, delivery or dine in it never disappoints! I always get the Dagwood but I have tired the chicken Caesar and it was great also. I really live any place you can customize the veggies and amount. You also have the option of grilling the veggies! The prices are fair and delivery is worth the waif! Disappointed. The food there is pretty good for a quick bite to eat, and it stays open late. That's about it. The staff is generally quite and not very polite, but what can you expect from a fast food franchise? The bad part is the false advertising. I placed an order with them through the phone, and gave them my address. They confirmed everything and sent the order on it's way. 10 minutes later I get a call they my address isn't in their GPS. Turns out, they don't deliver to my area, because it's too far. I literally live 6 miles away. I confirmed my address before the order and they said they would be fine for delivery. Even better is that the website states "Delivery to all of Baton Rouge." Apparently "All of Baton Rouge" is a 4 mile radius around Pita Pit. Will not order from them again. read more

Just found out this is not the place to get some great food late at night. I'm a very frequent customer here and usually everything is perfect but I was very disappointed tonight. Not only were they out of avocado AND guacamole (pretty much my only reason for even eating here) but all of the others ingredients looked far from fresh. Pita Pit is normally my Friday night stop after the bar and the staff is surprisingly upbeat for 4 a.m. Anyway, I met a friend there for lunch today and found out they do 99 cent double meat on Wednesday's and for some reason I never knew they delivered. You can't go wrong w/ the Dagwood (turkey,ham, & prime rib) or the gyro. Open until 4am and now delivery! This place keeps getting better. read more

I ordered delivery from Pita Pit online, requested that my lunch order arrive at 1:00 pm, and completed my confirmed order at 12:20 pm. I was at first a little irritated that I had to place a minimum order of $9.80 (excluding tax and other charges) to be eligible for delivery, but since I used to do food deliveries myself, I understand that it is not worth the business's time to send drivers out for $5.00 orders. So in addition to my pita, overpriced drink, and overpriced bag of chips, I added another overpriced Vitamin Water, knowing that I could just drink it later. After adding a delivery fee and a reasonable tip, my cheap(ish) lunch had quickly doubled in price. However, let me be clear: I am not writing a negative review because the prices are unreasonable. I am writing a negative review because, after waiting until 1:40 pm for my order to arrive, I called and asked to speak with the manager. After explaining the situation and asking where my order was, the manager asked for my address and said "Okay, yeah, it's on its way. Sorry we are just really backed up because of the Saints game." No free bag of chips, no buy-one-get-one, no attempt to redeem the bad business. Just an insincere apology and an excuse. I'm sorry, how exactly does the Saints game affect your ability to DO YOUR JOB?! And, if it does, then why even make 1:00 pm available as an option? And, even if all of that is beyond your control, would it have been so hard to give me a phone call to let me know that my order would be arriving late? They had my phone number. It would have taken 10 seconds and I probably would have been barely more than annoyed. Instead, this Pita Pit displayed incompetence, an all-around lack of consideration, and a blatant lack of customer service. Oh, and by the way, my order finally arrived at 2:05 pm(!!!), and one of the drinks I ordered was incorrect. If you really want to pay entirely too much money to eat what is essentially a sandwich and a bag of chips, then I suggest driving over there yourself. Better yet, just head over to the grocery store and buy the bread/meat/cheese/vegetables, drive home, and make the sandwich yourself. It will save you both time and money! was over here the other day. girl behind the counter(Laci, i think) was VERY RUDE, even going as far as to ask if i had the funds to pay for my meal when i presented her with a coupon. also, atmosphere was FILTHY as i could not find a clean table even though there werent many customers in there at the time. Only one in town; so far NOT satisfied. Think Jimmy Johns, Extreme Pita or Arzis's will continue to suffice. oh and poor choice of music which was TOO LOUD!! U would think a stand-alone place like this would try harder to compete with the above mentioned places but i guess not. read more
