Tried this place for the first time this week with my two teen daughters and my mom. We're all kind of particular about our likes and dislikes and we all found something on the menu that we loved! My 15 year old has a very limited amount of likes in the food department and loved her hummus pita! I had the falafel pita and it was so good! Loaded it up with fresh veggies and added the tomato pesto sauce. For the price of a sandwich at other grab and go restaurants you get a really good amount of fresh, yummy food. The young girls working were really friendly and helpful when we told them it was our first time in. We'll definitely be back soon and often. read more

The pita was decent, I had a groupon, if I hadn't I would not have checked it out. For $8 we got 2 pitas and drinks, good deal. However, the service blows. Both workers moved slower than my grandma with a gout flare up. The mouse lookin guy with the tattoo on his forearm was a smartass to my wife when she asked what flavor the hummice was, he was seconds away from being yanked right over the counter made to wear his ass for a hat. My friend and I had lunch here for the first time this week. The food was good but the guy that made our pitas was not friendly at all and kinda ruined it for me. We told him it was our first time there so we weren't really sure what we wanted. After checking out the menu, we decided on a couple of items. He seemed really annoyed and impatient while we were deciding on what we wanted in our pitas and was actually pretty rude when my friend couldn't decide if she wanted regular hummus or roasted red pepper hummus. My friend asked him what Falafel was and he grabbed a menu, glanced at it and said "I don't know, but it's vegan." read more

I love the Pita Pit!! The staff is so friendly and they really pay attention to what you want. Atmosphere is friendly, outside seating is nice in the summer. But be warned, it can get really busy sometimes and even harder to find a seat. read more

I love Pita Pit in Eugene and so I wanted to come here and was disappointed. Seems everything in Salem sucks which is unfortunate. Anyways, I went in there at 8:40PM (I'm sorry for coming in so late, but it's just a fast food place, it's not like a restaurant where you can expect me to be in there for at least 30 minutes. Just a quick in and out) and I was greeted with a horrible frown and "Doordash?" I said no very politely and she hesitates and goes "oh... we close early because of the holidays" and me not wanting to cause a fuss just said oh okay no problem and walked out. Clearly, your door is unlocked, your door says you close at 9 and you asked me if I was with Doordash, you guys were not closed. I worked at a place for my first job and we had people "close early" and refuse to serve customers before we actually closed, because they are LAZY and they got fired :) If you value your job you probably shouldn't turn paying customers away. Not good for business. I hope the manager reads these reviews and can speak with their employees about this because this woman (young, with short brown or maybe red hair) will know exactly what they are talking about :) read more

I had a horrible experience today. I normally love the Pita Pit and go there often, but Taylor was horrible. When we walked in at noon nobody was behind the counter for at least 2 minutes. I don't know what was happening in the back room, but it could not have been good. We cracked a joke about thinking they were being held up in the back and she just glared. I ordered a chicken breast, kids steak quesadilla and a small drink. When she said $16.57 I asked why it cost so much, and that I just wanted the chicken and not the entire sandwich. She literally checked her head to the side and very snotty said "yes, the chicken breast is $7". At that point, I was irritated. I paid and got the smallest amount of chicken possible. McDonald's would be less expensive and I would get more chicken. My friend ordered a Gyro and they did not tell her there was no tziki sauce until the sandwich was done. That is what a Gyro is. You don't have another sauce on the Gyro. The guy was not friendly either, but Taylor is a nightmare with her wrinkled shirt and messy hair look. They need to upgrade their staff before they get my business again. Interesting how similar the other negative reviews are. read more

Bad service sums it up. They forgot my order immediately, there were three of them working and almost no line and it took twenty minutes until I had to get up and remind them. After getting halfway through my wrap I bit into a long dark hair. So don't waste your time and money and avoid a terrible experience of eating the hair of employees. read more

Hey, Pita Pit. Get your act together. I ordered a vegetarain flaefel, and you cooked it on the grill with the chicken, using the same utensils, and flipping them at the same time. Please do not call it vegetarian if you can not cook the flaefel separately. Also, have the option of warming the bread. The place itself is usually cold in the winter, since they are stingy on the heat. If they just fixed a few things like that, it could easily be a much better place. 2nd time here and I have to say I'm satisfied. I've been trying to eat healthy lately but I like going out to eat. This place is healthy and it's delicious. And it's fast service makes it even better. I'm done with the days of eating bw.w, Red Robin, and other places where there is deep fried food and wasting time at these places. If you are looking for something healthy and want to get your food fast and go do other fun things then I recommend this place! Only reason I gave them a 4 out of 5 rating is because they didn't have avocados! read more

I don't know why everybody thinks that their Gyros are so good, except that they never really had a good Gyro. Pita Pit has the worst Gyros that I have ever had. I almost went back to ask for a refund, it was that bad. I was to far away from the store when I tasted my Gyro that was the first time and the last time I will eat at Pita Pit. read more

I'm surprised by the poor reviews on the Pita Pit. It's a fast food restaurant. How picky can you be? Anyway, I think it's good. The prices are reasonable, it provides healthy selections and the food is good. My only complaint is that the place is a little small. If you go there at the regular lunch hour it is hard to find a place to sit. read more

The Pita Pit is my top choice in Salem. It's great food and great service. I'm not sure how some people have a problem with it. If you respect the people you encounter, they will respect you in return. Granted, some of the staff needs a jolt of happy every once in awhile but the smily manager always is on top of her game. My best friend and I go here ever Saturday night. The service is excellent-- I'm surprised at all the poor reviews. The workers are always very friendly and polite, and actually remember our orders and our names, and ask about our weeks, et cetera. The falafel pitas with hummus are delicious-- and they cook the falafel on a separate grill. Sure, I'm sure the food could be better-- but it's fast food, it's not like a five star restaurant. Also, to make a note on a previous review-- there's plenty of seating upstairs, so seating is not an issue. :) I recommend! read more
