This is a local pita eatery owned by a Lebanese couple. They are friendly and gave us great service on our first visit! The beef and lamb wraps were outstanding - choice of sauces, ample toppings of shredded lettuce, tomato, olives, banana peppers, red peppers, taziki sauce. Wraps and pitas are custom made to order! Fantastic schwarma wrap. Nice bit of crispness to the meat. My only gripe was that it was pretty slimly stuffed. What a gem in the (slight) backside of Key Biscayne! Stopped here for pick up and it was full of regulars, which I thought was cute and a good sign. The service is really friendly and confident in the food, telling me "it's the best pita you'll ever have." I might have to say he was right!! There's almost limitless toppings and not much seems to cost extra. I got a pita pocket with falafel, babaganoush, hummus, all the veggies, and topped off with tahini. The ingredients are extremely fresh: I ordered my falafel and he scooped and fried it specifically for my pita! All the flavors paired so nicely together and it was to die for. This place! Though slightly hard to find and what seemed scary at first, turned out to be possibly the best meal we had over our 4 day vacation. The place was deserted, minus what I think were teenage employees who were off the clock and chilling (or on the clock and stoned). This is the second time that I've gotten food from pita pocket. Absolutely amazing food. The portions are huge for what you pay, and the food tastes great. Being fairly familiar with Arabic and Mediterranean cuisine, I can guarantee this is some top notch stuff they're cookin' up here. The only Arabic restaurant I have been to in South Florida that doesn't premix cracked wheat into their tabbouleh (so you can request it without it, my preference) and actually cuts the parsley thoroughly. As my Lebanese friend once told me: "the Parsley should be cut so fine that you cannot see it is parsley". This place sure as hell does that. The lamb and beef shawarma are excellent as well, very juicy and when added in with the salad it's a proper meal. I've tried the Kafta last time which was up to par with everything else I've mentioned in here. Will definitely be going back, I've also found that they deliver to Brickell on postmates occasionally!
