I didn't even know this little place was tucked in back there in this shopping center but glad I found it. This is Lebanese food but the fast version of it and very much like Greek food. I was starving so I needed something massive to satisfy me and I ordered the lamb/beef platter which was sooo big I didn't even get to finish it. Lamb and beef were cooked medium well to my liking and very flavorful. The hummus was good and fresh veggies, my only complaint was the rice pilaf was overcooked and a little hard but edible. This platter is $14 and the portions are huge so you are getting your $$$ worth with the amount of food. Try the platters if you have a very big appetite or even to share. Next time I'll just get a pita and that would do the job. Also they have a points system very much like 5 stars and others out there where you can stack up points to eventually get free food so ask about that if you plan to make this one of your frequent stops, it'll be worth it. read more

This is a great place. Usually in KB restaurants are super elegant and expensive. This is not the case. It is hidden in a little corner but is a great place if you want to get a good shawarma at a decent price in the island, this is the place to go. The parking situation is a little tight. The food was AMAZING - pitas with Lebanese flavor. I had the veggie pita (which has grilled veggies AND falafel) which was delicious. Clean, fresh and new! I had the chicken shawarma. There are so many fresh toppings to choose from. Only complaints are a dry pita and a mediocre tzatziki. The establishment is very clean and big portions. Baklava was great! I want to go back to try the kibbeh. Great service since its a family owned restaurant. So while waiting my turn to go in for surgery I YELPED and PITA POCKETS popped up with "5" stars. Let me just say after reading some reviews I had to try it. Hands down We agree with them. NO LIE they are a "5" star eatery. When you 1st walk in you will notice how clean the sitting area is. Then the cooking and prep area is also clean. Went to Crandon for an afternoon with my daughter, and we wanted a bite to eat based on the amazing Yelp reviews. We ordered a beef/lamb shawarma platter. Wanting to try the chicken I asked if I could substitute the beef for chicken, and I believe it was the owner who said no. The meat is gyro style, a cylindrical slab on a rotating cooker. But, he was nice enough to put some chicken for us to sample on the plate. We also got a small salad, cous cous and hummus as part of the platter. One piece of pita which was not homemade (I know because he gave me the bag it came in). My daughter and I divided the plate. Within a few seconds she took a hunk of grizzly, fatty meat out of her mouth to discard. Then another and another. I tried my food and was rather grossed out as well. Not lean, tender, flavorful meat I would have expected based on these reviews. I too found it to be really fatty and gross. The cous cous was large grained, not fine and neither of us cared for the seasoning. The salad was okay. The hummus was quite good. Did not taste like the standard fare you get in the tub from Publix. Prior to eating I visited the bathroom which lacked any paper towels for drying my hands. The toilet nearly overflowed. I realize people can be very rude and put things they should not down the toilet so I didn't blame the owner for that, but paper towels or a hand dryer are essential. The owner should consider getting one of those machines they use to zap bugs. We spent the entire time trying to wave off flies from landing on our food. All in all I would not come back. I've been to the middle east several times staying for a few weeks at a time and the food was amazing. This food was and overall dining experience was subpar. read more
