Pitas To Go is in a little plaza. I got the Falafel Plate which came out to be around $11. Which is a tad bit pricey. The plate came with a small side of Mediterranean salad and hummus. The falafel was super crispy on the outside, the inside was softer and had a bread like texture. You also have the option of choosing white or brown rice. I ended up choosing the white rice which was perfectly seasoned. They also give you a small side of garlic sauce, I wish they had given a little more. Overall, can't wait to try the chicken plate. UPDATE: Finally came to try the chicken kabob plate for my second time coming here and really enjoyed it! The chicken is mainly the breast but was still very flavorful. If you don't enjoy the breast at all it may be very dry. It came with hummus and a side salad. Would definitely recommend trying. read more

I spent 10 minutes placing an order over the phone with owner, Jose, two days prior to a meeting in the office for 30 people. Come the day of, lunch should have been delivered at 11:15am and there was no sign of the meal - which was unusual given that my company caters this restaurant all the time. We also had placed the same order for the same meeting one month prior. Not only did I call three times and leave a voicemail, one of my team members called - also to no avail - and another team member physically went to the store only to be told that Pitas to Go does not pick up the phone during lunch because it is during their busy time. When she asked whether they could fill the order, they denied ever receiving it and would not accommodate. Moving forward, I will not hesitate to order from the various other Mediterranean restaurants in the vicinity, but unfortunately, Pitas to Go will not have my business again. read more

*Update* After a year, I started to come here more often. The chicken kabob plate has improved a lot and the marinade they used on the chicken was very tasty. My favorite part of the dish was the fluffy rice. The pita and humus were also yummy! ------------------------------------------------ I liked their plate options than their wraps. I got the chicken kabob plate and it had rice, salad, pita, and humus. The chicken was grilled and it was a little dry, but it tasted good. I preferred the plates since I don't really like the texture of their pita breads. The pita bread that I was used to were a little thicker with a soft-chewy texture when you bite into it. Their version is complete opposite of that and the charred grill marks had a rough texture against your teeth. read more

Yum yum yum!! I used to work near here and this was my favorite place to go to! I always order the fish plate- it is so yummy! It's about 8-9 dollars and you get pretty good variety of dishes. You get a salad, a choice of white rice or cracked wheat ( I recommend the cracked wheat), hummus or baba ganoush and a pita. I always like to eat my plate with peppercinis, and when I'm feeling like I wanna splurge, I get myself some falafel too! Their service is fast, but all they do is pretty much bring you the food. One of my favorite spots, and definitely my favorite for Mediterranean. All of the meats are great quality and cooked literally to perfection. Their rice is also awesome. I usually get the chicken and steak plate with brown (bulgar) rice, their kabob is actually nice breast size pieces that are juicy and soft. When I worked down arrow I came here as often as I could. I would give this a very solid 3.5 stars. This was my first visit and I had the beef shawarma plate that came with small salad, rice, hummus, and pita. I thought flap meat was an interesting choice of cut for the beef kabob. Not the most tender cut of meat, but was okay. This is the first time I've had shawarma, so I have nothing to compare it to. Quite a busy place! Got there @ 12:45pm but there were people coming in and out. The parking is hard to find in the front, but there are additional parking spots in the back. I ordered Lula Kabab Plate. It's a decent price for all in the plate. Lula Kabab had a great flavor and tasted good! You can chose White Rice or Brown Rice. It came with salad, pickles, hummus, and pita bread too. The salad dressing was good! It tasted like Japanese Shiso (Japanese basil) which is sour but not those "yikes" sour. I would like to go back and try different plates! If you want to pay in cash, as the place is busy, you may want to help them out by bringing changes instead of pay by $20 bill. Stopped by after I found this place close to my workplace for lunch one day. Ordered the Chicken Kabob wrap, and it was just ok. It was on the dry side, wish it had some yogurt sauce or something to compliment the chicken. The menu says it comes with garlic sauce, but it seemed to have very little if any, wouldn't have minded if they gave some on the side. I also ordered a Sarma (Stuffed Grape Leaf), it was also on the dry side. I understand there aren't many options in Irwindale, but I hoped it would've been better especially with their namesake a pita to go. read more

I've passed by this place for years, but every time I have it's always closed, so when I was in the area and saw that it was open I took my chance. I was sad that they didn't have the chicken shawarma as a plate option, so I chose the lula kabob instead (one of the cheaper plate options). It was so good and surprisingly, reminded me a lot of Chinese pork & cabbage dumplings (also a favorite of mine). It was $9.84 with tax or $8.99 without, which means this place is a bit on the pricier side, considering that that was one of the cheaper options on the menu. The brown rice is really bulgur, which goes great together with the kabob, hummus, and salad. I was super full afterward and I still hadn't finished the pita. If I ever crave the lula kabob I'm definitely coming here. Still holding out that they might have a chicken shawarma plate someday, though. I tried really hard to like this place, they season their food well and they're nearby but they just can't seem to get the details right. They overcook their meat EVERYTIME even when I've asked for it rare, and I've come to realize it's because in order to be faster, they pre cook and have kabobs waiting to be ordered. Their hours seem to change without notice. On yelp and the door it says 7pm. I arrived at 6:32 to be told they now close at 6:30.
