I love that they now have wine and whiskey since I'm not a big beer drinker. The addition of appetizers is fantastic.

We stopped here recently on a shopping trip to Fall River. It was a little tricky to find, but we persisted and found our way. Troy City Brewing has some nice selections to pick from (yay, for seltzer) and we enjoyed our visit. We visited early on a Saturday afternoon and the place was quiet except for a couple other groups there. Our server was friendly and personable and the decor was nice. They also have a really nice outdoor beer garden, but the weather was pretty miserable for sitting outside. We'll definitely stop back when the weather is nice again to be able to sit outside.

    Cool sign!

Troy City Brewing is a craft brewery that opened in Fall River, Massachusetts in December 2018. It was founded by business partners Keith Carvalho and Mike Ferreira. The name of the brewery is a reference to the historical name of Fall River. Although originally founded under the name "Fall River" in 1803, the town changed its name to "Troy" the following year and eventually changed it back in 1834. Carvalho started a home brewing club in Fall River in 2006. In 2017, Troy City brewing was founded as a home brewing entity when Carvalho joined forces with Ferreira. Eventually they would move in at a historic textile mill and opened their taproom to the public a year later. Together with nearby Canned Heat Craft Brewing, Troy City Brewery brings the brewing industry back to Fall River for the first time since 1963. My wife and I first visited Troy Cory in October 2019. We were in town for the day to visit the home of Fall River's most infamous citizen: Lizzie Borden!! After visiting some spooky sites around town, we decided to check out Fall River's local craft brewery scene. When we arrived, they were having a Halloween costume party in the taproom (which was totally fine with us). I ended up sampling four beers: the Rail Trail Cranberry Lager, the TCB Test IPA, Maplecroft (Maple Syrup Porter), and Gage Hill (Toasted Marshmallow Chocolate Porter). The last one was my favorite and it came with a cinnamon-sugar rimmed glass. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our visit to Troy City. If you're planning on visiting any spooky Lizzie Borden sites in Fall River this Halloween season, make sure to visit Troy City Brewing.

Great place to unwind and enjoy some tasty microbrews. A friendly staff who take care of your needs. They offer inside or outside seating, tasty selections are offered as well. I only tried 2 of their microbrews which were delicious. I'll stop in when I'm catching a show at the Narrows

The pretzel looked good at first glance, but it was pretty stiff and some parts were cold and wet on the inside.

Went on a Sunday afternoon (around 2PM) after visiting Battleship Cove, which is just down the street. The place was pretty quiet with a nice, relaxing atmosphere. The type of place I'd like to spend a warm, sunny afternoon. I was pretty disappointed they only had 3 or 4 beers on tap when I went. Half of their beers were out. Not really sure why, maybe they were in the process of switching their tap offerings. The New England IPA I ended up getting, however, was excellent. I'm sure their other beers are also great. I definitely would not recommend ordering the pretzel. To be honest, it was bad. It was warm on the outside, but cold (not like room temperature, actually cold!) in some pockets on the inside. Overall, it was pretty rubbery and hard to chew. The pretzel was 1 star. But the beer and location were 4 stars.

What a great brewery! Came here with a few buds as we had some spare time that day. It's a little hard to find as it doesn't have street front entrance. You have to walk into a dead end alley, and you'll see the entrance. This dead end alley is used as a beer garden for the brewery as there are tables and barrels with umbrellas so you can hang outside in some shade. Our friends went straight to playing bags while enjoying their beer. Speaking of the beer...YUM! They had about twelve beers available of different varieties. I had the Under the Bridge IPA, 508 Blonde Ale, and Iron Works Porter. All of them were delicious. The 508 Blonde was probably my favorite. Refreshing for that hot day. The other thing I liked was when you open a tab they give you a number, like some restaurants do. When you get another beer you give them your number instead of saying your name. As someone who's worked behind a bar, it's much easier to remember a number than a strangers name. Very efficient system. I wished more places would do that. We were also lucky enough to the breweries new puppy, Troy! He was playful and adorable, and he made sure everyone at the brewery petted him. It's a great place to bring your dog and hang out.

If you like thick clam chowder, this is it. For meals we opted to split the honey, hot chicken sandwich and a buffalo chicken pizza. Not gonna lie, the bowl of chowder was pretty big, and I was pretty full by the time I was done with it. The honey hot chicken sandwich is more like a honey mustard chicken. It was still pretty good, but if you are expecting hot honey, this is not it. I opted to have the blue cheese on the side with the pizza, because my husband doesn't like blue cheese. The buffalo chicken pizza was actually really delicious. It was like a bar pizza that you would get from the south shore. You really can't find this pizza in Rhode Island or in Southern MA, so this was a great find. Staff were friendly and attentive. I didn't get any alcoholic drinks cause it was pretty early and not much of a day drinker, but it had a really good vibe and I'm sure it's a lot of fun at night. The drink menu looked really good so I'll likely come back for drinks and apps. There's a cute outdoor seating area. It was pretty hot so we sat inside, but I'm sure this is a great place to sit at night time once the sun goes down and it cools off.

That said, I've seen some great local artists here - everything from a 4 person DMB cover band to a solo acoustic performer with an angelic voice. A+ for putting effort into the programming! The beer list is quite long. I love their sours when they have them on top, which isn't always but a good portion of the time. Other than sours their beers are not my most favorite in the world, but still yummy with lots of variety to taste around. It's a great spot to hang out with quirky decor, high ceilings, and lots of events.
