My friends rave about this place and it was very good! The servers were nice and prompt. The drinks were tasty, decent portions. A little pricy but everything is now.

First time here and having this amazing cocktail that is smoked

Rave for Revival! We all had a fabulous time dining here with friends. Our server was phenomenal with great vibes, a warm atmosphere, and so many food and drink options. After spending the afternoon touring the Lizzie Borden House we came here for dinner. Warren, RI is such a cute town to visit, shop, and dine in. The restaurant is more like a farm-to-table vibe with a very cozy atmosphere. It looks as if you are stepping into your friend's living room. We started off with a few cocktails: I had their Pumpkin Smoked Old Fashioned which was delightful and cool to watch (see pic). For starters, we shared their cheese board which was good but did not offer a lot of cheese to share for 4 of us. For entrees, I had their beet salad with Salmon, my husband had their burger, and our friends had their rigatoni bolognese and osso bucco. Everything was phenomenal from start to finish. Our server was also great and friendly and offered suggestions when needed. For dessert, we had to order their banana bread pudding because how can you not. We do live a bit further away from here but because we enjoyed it so much and all the cute shops and other bars around, we would come back. If you are in the area, I would highly suggest stopping in for dinner and/or drinks. Cheers!

Friends wanted to meet at the Square Peg. It was packed so we wondered over to Revival. We got space immediately at the bar to wait. The bartender was great at making drinks and very neat/clean/organized. My special whiskey sour was peach, pretty, and delicious. We were able to transfer our bill to the table and the bartender was also our server. The specials sounded delicious but I had the Tuna Tartar as my entree. It was perfect and pretty. Everyone was happy with their meals. I would go back again. Everyone was nice and I liked the wood style of the dining room.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Rhode Island. Have tried almost half the menu now and not a single thing disappoints. Service is always good. And they are one of the few places in the state I've found Buffalo Trace Bourbon.

Great place for family get togethers

The food, drinks and atmosphere are awesome. The menu has something for everyone and their different diets. The seating is very comfortable, it's the kind of place you go, and you spend a lot of time enjoying each other's company over a delicious meal.

The food and service was excellent but we were in the small room off the main dining room and it was too loud to even have a conversation

Food was absolutely fantastic!! Really great place to grab a casual bite to eat with a friend or co worker. The inside was extremely loud, it was a full house when we went but we were able to be seated outside. We got seated at least 10 minutes within arrival with no reservation outside with a full house, can't complain!

Coming to the town of Warren is always a good idea if you want good food. And Revival is no exception! Our Sunday evening was spent enjoying delightful cocktails, oysters, a variety of Italian-inspired entrees, and a strawberry chocolate crostata to round out the meal. Definitely try to get a table by the window (I for one love natural light in a restaurant) and away from the main room of the restaurant for a quieter time. The service was nice and not overbearing which is a plus. We chatted the evening away with the only silent moments being when the food was set down on the table. The one con to the experience is the very small lobby - we waited about 10 minutes for the table and had to press ourselves up against the wall to allow people in and out of the restaurant.

Old fashioned

First and fabulous dinner here tonight! Mine was medallions of monkfish with saffron tomato sauce (with olives!) and wilted spinach on grilled Tuscan bread. Three of us shared the burrata appetizer with prosciutto, grilled bread, greens, fig spread, and a balsamic reduction sauce and all had plenty. Fellow diner declared her Manhattan perfect. Another said his Old Fashioned was too sweet. My Old Fashioned was delicious. The Eggplant rolotini was also declared a success along with the tuna tartare. I tasted the banana bread pudding with rum raisin ice cream dessert one dining companion ordered and, while I loved the ice cream, I thought the bread pudding was too sweet. Also not in a ramekin as we thought it would be but instead a more deconstructed version. Still very much enjoyed but the one who ordered! Our server was very matter of fact and great at her job. She was knowledgeable about the menu and completely on top of my food allergies which appeared on the detail of what was ordered when we received our bill for the evening. I give the food and service an A. The toughest part of the evening was finding parking but that wasn't as bad as I had expected! Give this place a try and save me a seat!

Staff was very friendly and genuinely interesting to talk to the most recent time I visited. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, with sexy, low mood lighting, trendy flower decor on the tables, even quirky and fun wallpaper in the bathrooms. The cocktail list is unique and has a little something for everyone. My drink had notes of rose which I found so different and delightful, though I ordered mine without egg white in it since I can't quite get into that cocktail ingredient trend. Everyone I've brought here has enjoyed their drink - glassware is pretty and photogenic but I do feel the portions are on the smaller side. What a great, "vibey" little spot to take a date, a friend on a bar crawl or quick afternoon catch up, and so on! Lots of other great stops in this plaza too, you could make a whole day out of this area without ever having to move your car. I feel I've traveled somewhere far away and a little exotic when I come here - a class act that hasn't let me down yet.

Upon entrance is a doorman who is so friendly and accommodating! He found us an open table and checked on us throughout the night. The place was packed and they only had maybe 5 or 6 employees so the service was a little slow but understandable. I think the longest wait was about 20 minutes when we were waiting to get our initial drink order taken, but everything after that was fairly quick. For drinks I got a thin mint martini because they were out of the chocolate reuge martini I wanted. It was so yummy and came with 3 thin mint cookies. My mom got a pistachio martini and the Jefferson Tea. Both were pretty good but I wouldn't order again. My dad got Dead Mans Redemption which is good if you like bourbon. It comes with a wood topper and they light it on fire, let smoke fill in the drink, and then take the wood off. The drink then has notes of smoked wood in it which is cool. For food we got the crispy spring rolls and pepperoni flatbread. Both were so good!!!! It was absolutely worth the wait!!! I could eat the whole flatbread myself it was that good and I can't wait to go back and get another one. The crowd is definitely much older, not a lot of younger people around. It's a good date night for married couples. Overall it was a nice place and I would come back.

We ordered drinks before the meal. I had a Vermont Red Ale for the first time which was very good and worth remembering. At this time they were serving'cocktails for a cause' in support of the Alzheimer's Association, which my other half decided to have. The drink, Fuchsia Butterflies ($15), was made solarium gin, house-made lemoncello, with a Gran Classico & Violet Rinse. It was quite excellent. I had a sip to try (I am usually not one for cocktails) and enjoyed the taste. Perhaps I will try cocktails in the future. For food we shared curry moules frites, well done, just how I like them, and salt and vinegar Wings - tasty but too salty which detracted from the dish. We ended with a good chocolate mint creme brûlée. The check came to $80 to which we added a decent tip for our friendly server, Triston. We have always enjoyed the vibe and cozy environment of this place and are sure to return.

As I was looking for a place to have a nice dinner with a few coworkers, Wharf Southern Kitchen and…read moreWhiskey Bar ABSOLUTELY caught my eye. First of all, let's talk about the space. Nestled in the Wharf, it was a cute little place with both an up and downstairs. We reserved a spot for around 5:30 (in April) and it was pretty open. There weren't too customers yet, and it was nice and quiet. If you're looking for a ton of space for the seating area, I will say that there isn't too much room/it's pretty nice and cozy! At Wharf Southern Kitchen and Whiskey Bar, they've got a line of booths along the wall, a bar area right in the center and at the actual bar, a high top, another bar at one of the entrances, and a table that seats six. Now let's chat about the service. Our waitress was wonderful, patient, and was extremely helpful when asked questions and also gave SUCH wonderful suggestions. There were MANY fantastic choices on their menu and I was having a pretty difficult time narrowing down which one I really wanted, but with our waitress's help, I was able to choose pretty quickly (and they were AMAZING choices!) Now the food! The wait for the food honestly wasn't that long, and when we got it, we ABSOLUTELY CHOWED... -The Crispy Chicken Bites were AMAZING! I ended up upgrading to the Buffalo Style, and it DID NOT disappoint at all! The Bleu Cheese crumbles were just the perfect amount, and the Buffalo sauce was JUST enough to still enjoy the crispiness of the chicken. I DID ask for ranch on the side, and that just was *chef's kiss*! -I've never had fried pickles before, but I certainly have never seen a restaurant do it with whole pickles. Though it was my first time trying fried pickles, it tasted great! I wouldn't say it's anything special, but it's a great, and lighter on the fried side, appetizer! -I was having a hard time choosing what entree to enjoy, but I'M SOOOO glad that I went with the Smoked Brisket Chopped Cheese! I'm not a big brisket girl, but I will say that this was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! At first when it came out on the bun, I was a little skeptical of how it would taste, but it definitely didn't disappoint! The brisket was cooked SO well with the perfect amount of seasoning, and it all just melted so perfectly together as I was eating it. And the tater tots were SO AMAZING (though on the saltier side) and SO perfectly crispy. I've only got great things to say about Wharf Southern Kitchen & Whiskey Bar & I WILL be back here/will suggest it to my friends visiting Newport one day!
