I had a calzone with Italian sausage and peppers--the marinara is so fresh and flavorful, the ricotta and mozzarella oozed out, the crust was lovely and brown on the outside and light with great texture inside. The side garden salad was what wow'd me, though! I ordered it without mozzarella cheese and with the Slice 51 herb vinaigrette --that dressing is worth traveling for. Very unique decor, comfy and casual. Fountain drinks and fresh iced tea, serve yourself, old-fashioned tall red plastic cups, nostalgic. Lovely patio area to use in the warmer months. I placed a to go order, for a veggie slice and an order of hot wings with blue cheese. The slice is HUGE! My one complaint is that I ordered the slice without broccoli and once I got home, I noticed the broccoli was on the slice. I like broccoli but don't necessarily enjoy it on pizza. What a hidden gem! The only way I had heard of this place was from the chiefs coach Andy Reid. He spoke highly of the pizza and it looked delicious, decided to stop by Saturday afternoon. The place was so cool for once being an old gas station, DX signage and ton of cool license plates made into decor. I got a slice of cowtown lovers. It was some of the best pizza I've ever had. Yelp led me to this place while I was visiting. Excellent thin, crispy crust pizza. They have a small, but sufficient beer selection. They have a large patio, but we ate inside as it was beginning to drizzle. They have some booths and tables inside, but it's small area so I wouldn't recommend this place for larger parties unless it's nice out. Parking is a bit tight; something to keep in mind. read more

I enjoyed the restaurant's ambiance, which mimicked a garage with cinderblock walls covered in road signs and license plates. The service was good, too. The person at the cash register was very welcoming and patient as we reviewed the long list of toppings on the menu. They also came around while we ate to see how our food tasted. We each ordered one of the huge slices and a side of garlic bread to share. The slices were tasty, with fresh toppings and a nice crunchy crust. However, we didn't enjoy the garlic bread. I don't know if it's a personal taste issue, but the garlic sauce smeared on top of the bread was way too intense for us. The bread was good and paired nicely with the side of marinara, but that garlic sauce was not it. The only thing I can compare it to is straight-up Crisco. read more

My pepperoni slice ($4.74) was generously sized (12" length), with a good amount of tasty toppings, a fair level of greasy flavor, and a wonderful thin and crispy crust. The service was very good (friendly at the counter, and relatively fast (10 minutes), with a satisfaction check by an employee). The dining area was clean and nice, with a garage theme, TVs, garage doors which could open on nice days, a spacious patio (also with TVs) and contemporary background music. We've ordered takeout here for years, and it was clutch during the pandemic. The 5 topping single slice is a great deal, especially if fellow diners have different topping preferences. And the portion size is very generous. The quality; however, is hit and miss. One night it could be great - chewy crust and generous toppings. And the next, the crust is dry and burnt and it looks like someone dropped your toppings off the Empire State Building and only 4 shards of olive made it to the pizza. The positives outweighs the negatives but it's frustrating when you don't know what you're going to get. read more

I come here when I have to be at UmKC which is a very large university in the area. The pizza is delicious and very big. Seriously, the slices are huge. The side salads are filling enough and big enough to be eaten as a meal. They do serve beer and they have outdoor seating. Um no. I went to Little Ceasers to get 2 cheese. So when I went I I ordered it I payed then after I told them to bring it to me in my car. They told me it was gonna take about 5-10 minutes. I go back 15 minutes later and its still not ready. Then they said it was gonna take 5 more minutes. I go back 10 minutes later and THEY SAID YOU DIDN'T ORDER. So then I ordered it again and PAYED AGAIN. They told me the same thing that it was gonna take 5-10 minutes. SO THEN I GO BACK AND GET THE PIZZA. THEN WHEN I GET IN MY CAR I RELIZE THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG PIZZA. I go back then tell them that it wasnt mine. Then they said "oh heres yours" AND THEY GAVE ME THE FIRST ORIGINAL PIZZA THAT I ORDERED. I got so frustrated I didnt eat and I waited an hour for pizza I could make in an hour at home. Never going back and by the way the pizza was stale as hell and there was like no sauce. We were greeted so warmly by the woman working the counter when we walked in. She was just so polite and sweet and explained the menu to us. What a great way to start our meal- much appreciated! They aren't kidding when they say their slices are large. They're so big they have to slice them. Picture the biggest NYC street slice you've ever seen and increase it by 50%. So we trusted her when she said they're big and each got a slice and shared bites with each other. The Canadian Bacon slice was dynamite, the plain cheese slice was perfectly flavored but could've used some more cheese, and while I liked how many veggies were in the veggie slice (it was absolutely piled high) it was missing something- it was just kind of flavorless and could've used more cheese. The crust on all 3 was amaaaaazing- hand tossed, not too thick, not too thin, and perfectly crispy. We also got an order of cheesy breadsticks while waiting for our slices to arrive- it was decent, but nothing special. Granted we were there on a busy Friday night, but this place is seriously LOUD. Definitely a great place to take young, rambunctious kids, but not good for intimate conversation. All in all, we were impressed and will definitely be back and recommend to friends. read more

A group of 8 of us ate here this week for the first time. We all had pizza or a calzone. Honestly, the food was below average. The sauce lacked flavor, and the crust was nothing special. Unfortunately, all the food came out at vastly different times, although we all ordered at the same time, one right after the other. The first people to receive their food (14" pizza) were finished eating by the time the last person received theirs (also 14" pizza). Not sure how that happens, but it's not OK.
