I've been going to a location of Pizza Tascio basically since I moved to KC. The original location I went to was a bit of a trek for me in North KC because of living in South KC. I've been going to the Waldo location ever since they opened in the neighborhood a few years back. It's authentically NY Style Pizza, which I appreciate after living in NYC for several years. A classic cheese pie's got the signature floppy slice, fermented dough, a thin layer of mozz and acidic sauce situation going on. They're up there with the best slices at Providence and Northeast Pizza. Most of the time I get a whole pie, either cheese, what's on special or the Spicy Pepperoni. If I want a quick meal, I'll get the two slices and a drink special. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is low frills but has plenty of seating if you plan on eating there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also outdoor seating if the weather permits.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you get Individual slices, just know they'll be reheated in the oven like they do in NY. They also might not have everything available. Chance it and try something new. The staff is generally kind and respectful. If you have a pick up order, just let them know and they'll give it to you on the side window. Make sure to grab red pepper flakes if that's your thing. It's taken me awhile to try Pizza Tascio, but finally did and I'm obsessed! I ordered a half and half pizza of the white pizza and the chicken bacon ranch. They are quick- when I got there the pizza was ready, but they accidentally made the white pizza side the white tascio and said they could remake it for me, but I had hungry kids at home so I just took it as is! They were super nice/apologetic about everything. It was a nice surprise though because I don't think I would have ever tried it, but it was so good and would definitely order it again! I also love that you can get pizzas by the slice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's indoor seating and some outdoor seating![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And their pizzas are seed oil free if that's your thing! We have driven by this pizza place for a while now and decided to try out their cauliflower crust supreme pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was good and the atmosphere is a casual and very low key ( paper plates).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza toppings wear quality but definitely not enough on top of the pizza. It felt almost like all crust when eating it. My husband liked the sauce, but we wished there were more toppings. This was my first time ordering from any Pizza Tasico and I had a great experience! I placed an order for carry out and it was ready exactly when they told me. Pick up was easy and the service was friendly. There was also plenty of parking. The pizzas may be on the expensive side, but they are so worth it. I did have a coupon that I received in the mail. My kids go absolutely nuts for their pizza, so it's slowly working it's way into our regular rotation. It really is good, and if I had to sum it up quick I would say it's simple NYC style pizza with quality ingredients. It's definitely on the pricier side, with most of their pizzas around $30 each. However the slices are huge so for a family of four, one is enough. When we have friends with us, we get two. Aside from the standard cheese or cupped pepperoni, we recently ordered their Margherita pizza and it was one of my favorites that they make. I'd like to venture over to their white pizzas as well, if I can convince the kiddos. This spot can be busy -- I called one night and was quoted two hours, so plan accordingly. Possibly the worst customer service ever! Having gone in, I ordered two slices which were on display. They promptly put them into the oven and forgot about them ( it happens, I understand). What I don't know is after having thrown those two slices away, no effort was made to correct their mistake. After 30 minutes I was finally asked for what I was waiting ( I was thinking they were making fresh). I explained what had happened and they took two other slices which had been sitting out prior to me getting there and after five minutes, gave them to me without so much as a sorry, our mistake. New guy is rude. Cold pizza, mostly bead, didn't ask me if I wanted hot honey. Normally great but new hire working the counter doesn't care and has a bad attitude. Can't fix broken people! Within 30 minutes: owner called and was more understanding than anyone I've ever met (and I've been around for a long time!). It was 100% a customer service training issue. This pizza is the closest thing to a slice of New York heaven! The crust is so thin and crispy and the mozzarella is the good fresh kind! The staff was so nice and friendly, love the cool open decor. The have tables and chairs to sit outside on nice weather days. read more

Ordered ahead of time at 3pm to be picked up at 5:40pm. Arrive at 5:46 to be informed they had not even made the pizzas yet. The impression was that I should just accept their incompetence because they are "very busy". $80 for 2 pizzas and garlic bread and could not even be ready on time. They also could have contacted me so I did not drive all the way here to sit for an extra 20 minutes in a Smokey store. They also could have offered compensation- but neither happened. I will be bold enough to declare this is the best NY pizza in the suburbs of KC. Try the pepperoni+jalapeno+hot honey!! And try the ranch!!!! By the slice when you need a little or are just in a hurry. The 2 slice special is a great lunch option. The slices are huge but thin, so they're not quite hearty enough to eat every day. Unfortunately I have to boycott until they can get their original gluten free crust back -- it's better than their regular crust, IMO, and the cauliflower crust is just not good. If you like cauliflower crust, it tastes better down the road at Waldo Pizza, I'm sad to say. If they can get the good crust back I'll definitely up this to 5 stars. read more

Yeah yeah, everything costs a lot these days. I'm just not sure I can get over paying $5+ for a slice of pizza. It's really what keeps me from eating there, since I live around the corner, and would LOVE to have a great neighborhood spot. It IS good pizza. But is it worth the price? So far, I don't think so. I'd love to see some kind of happy hour special or something with a more attractive price. I have to believe it would bring in some business. read more

The pizza was amazing! They also don't use any toxic seed oils according to the app Seed Oil Scout. They have a ton of topping options like balsamic which I absolutely love. Their staff was also super nice, I ordered my pizza to the complete wrong store and they still helped me out. read more

They smoked the place out so we couldnt sit inside. The six people behind the counter didn't really seem to have a purpose and waited too long being literally the only people there and we ordered the already made slices. The flavor was okay but can tell the ingredients weren't of high quality. Also too pricey for a thin small slice. We won't be going back. read more
