Now before anyone gets offended or wondering why I rated it a 4 is there's always room for improvement. Unfortunately with a lot of businesses they've had to increase their menu prices. Portion sizes here are adequate but still on the expensive end. The lady who was serving me was the owner (with her husband I believe) and was very kind and helpful. The ambiance was casual and cozy (borderline in need of just a little refreshing here and there). A must go to if you haven't been to try out their food offerings! read more

What a great experience!!! We had Pizza A Metro cater our son's graduation party! Working with Margarita was so easy! I picked 3 items from their menu..Penne Pomodoro, Fettuccine Primavera and Salmon Picatta and told her how many guests were invited! Margarita sent me a quote with the amounts of food we would need. When I tell you the woman knows what she is doing, I'm not joking around! I first thought it wasn't going to be enough food, but Margarita took the time to explain the portion size and she was spot on! Now let's get to the good part, the food!!! Everyone at the party raved about it! They wanted to know where we catered from! My nephew who is not a Salmon eater in particular, loved the Salmon! No leftovers were had with that dish!!! I did have some leftovers with the other two dishes and that was a bonus since it was so good! Also their delicious bread came with our order, and they gave us a lot!!! They use their pizza dough to make the bread so it's flat and not over filling! Perfect addition to the meal! I would highly recommend catering from them! In fact my SIL who lives in Scottsdale mentioned using them for a party she's having in the fall! This is a gem of a restaurant in a small obscure strip mall! My husband and I were not in our local area today but wanted to grab lunch close by. We are so glad we found Pizza A Metro! Very small restaurant but the back patio was perfect. There were a few parties there but spaced enough to not feel crowded. The service was excellent & so friendly. We had pizza and even ordered one to go for the kids when we got home. Btw, it warmed up amazingly in the oven- preheated our pizza stone and then add the slices. This ensures it's as crispy perfect as it was the first time! We had arrived close to closing so we were not expecting to be able to be seated but everyone was so welcoming and inviting. We sat on the back patio which had heaters and a TV. I believe the waitress was the owner and she brought us some complimentary bread and tomato mix that I can't remember the name of. A sort of twist on bruschetta. We ordered 2 small pies. They were pretty but for being smalls but absolutely delicious. They came out pretty quickly and probably the best white pie we've had in Arizona. All in all, fantastic experience all around. UPDATE 05/21/2020 Hadn't been by in awhile due to this nutty COVID pandemic, but couldn't hold out anymore, and had to get my Italiano grub on. We found this place on accident! We had meant to eat at a place next door but decided on pizza instead. We were greeted so welcoming from the staff, and were offered to eat indoor or outdoor, which we sat outside. It looks small from the front but there's plenty of seating! Our pizza is was so delicious and you can taste the quality of it compared to other pizza restaurants. The only thing is their prices are high and on future visits, we will come back without our kids. It is kid friendly but the price will be higher. We could have easily ate two whole pizzas for a family of four! read more

We wanted to try a new Italian place that was cheap and within a 15 minute drive. This place caught our eye, and I'm so glad it did. It's located next to a Circle K, and it's pretty tiny (maybe 3 4-person tables and 4 two-person tables), but don't let that stop you. The food is delicious, and the service phenomenal for a place where it seems only two people are doing all of the cooking, serving, and bussing. They gave us this delicious appetizer to start, with a balsamic-y tomato dip thing served with pizza crust. It took all my self control to not eat it all, and share with the boy. I got the shrimp Romantica with a side house salad. The salad had a delightful vinaigrette, and the pasta had a deliciously simple sauce, sauteed mushrooms, and well-cooked, juicy shrimp. It was probably the best shrimp I've had with pasta in a long time. My s/o got the Hawaiian, which had a lovely thin crust. The cheese is not what you usually find on pizzas (embarrassed to say I don't know what kind of cheese), which he didn't particularly like, but I liked that whatever it was and the fact that the pizza wasn't smothered in the cheese really allowed the different flavors of the crust, sauce, and toppings to shine through. We ended the night with the creme brulee, which had strawberry syrup on top. This is the only part of the meal I wouldn't do again--but the again I don't like caramel or cream, so it's not surprise I didn't like it! (However, the s/o who loves creme brulee also didn't enjoy it that much). Next time I'm going to get the chocolate mousse cake. During these covid times if you're in town and looking for a restaurant with great food and outdoor patio sitting area pizza a metro is the place to be. They have amazing pizzas as well as healthy salads and seafood dishes. I enjoy the their supreme pizza. It was amazing stuffed with pepperoni and sausages and the tomato sauce just amazing. Because so many times I've thought I found this great place with the food, service, and feel of the place, hitting all the bullseye's, only to come back and wonder what the heck happened? Service was once again amazing, and for me most importantly, the food was amazing. Check, check, check. And although from the outside you may hesitate to park and go in, please do. I typically get it delivered on a delivery site but once went in and saw that it's a really cute small mom and pop shop and I love that we're supporting a local store with such great food!
