I dropped by this restaurant on a whim and decided to order a large vegetable pizza. I was provided one in about 15 minutes that was made-to-order with a tasty combination of toppings. Not only that, but the owner was also keenly attentive to service. Pizza could be eaten in or taken to go in a box, which seems pretty normal to me. The menu price for pizza may have been a tiny bit more than what I would typically pay. BUT, the fresh ingredients, steamy goodness of a mildly hot pizza, and courteous service would draw me to certainly return again. Let's just say there should have been leftovers for a week with the size I ordered...but I just couldn't help myself! read more

Arrived at Scottsdale late after a long drive. We found this restaurant near our hotel in a strip mall. Didn't expect much as we just wanted to grab a bite and go to sleep. SO GLAD MY MEAL WAS NOT READY FOR ONCE. I called for a simple chicken shwarma sandwich to go. Waited about 15 minutes, and then arrived for pickup when they said 10 mins on phone. When I arrived, the guy there had apparently forgot about my order, and tried to play it off like they don't do take out here, and started to slowly make my food. He then proceeds to TOUCH EVERY SINGLE INGREDIENT, with his BARE HANDS. The bread, each food container for ingredients, ect. I saw him handle money right before I arrived for someone else and didn't even wash his filthy hands...... I've never been more thankful my order wasn't ready IN MY LIFE. I walked out without the sandwich as I'm not going to pay for food poisoning when they're not following simple procedures. At minimum wash your hands when handling people's food, but really, gloves are REQUIRED IN THE UNITED STATES. WTF read more

After reading all the rave reviews. We spent over $65 for ok food. The gyro meat is really good, however he asked my friend if she wanted rice, sure, but he didn't explain it would be a plate and and up-charge to $15.95 vs $6.99 sandwich. Pretty disappointed. The guy was an older gentleman and slow. Weird sauce over my chicken shawarma plate that was overpowered by turmeric flavor. He asked my friend to choose a sauce for the tilapia fish. She chose honey. It came out of a Heinz like bottle and it turned out it was honey bbq sauce! Barbecue sauce over fish??? He said he was going to add potato soup and okra soup to our order. English must be rough for this old sweet man bc the soup turned out to be tomato soup with okra..(bland and he up-charge again). We're surprised by the bill and no receipt since we were splitting it with 4 people. He said everyone's meal was $15.50 each. Ok the menu board was cheaper but half of us left to go back home tired from the wait. The bill came from his cracked phone and credit card was accepted by Square off his phone. I wish there was lower than a one-star rating for this one. So, we ordered a pizza a couple hours ago but ended up having to run errands and couldn't pick it up in time so we called no more than FIVE MINUTES after placing said order to cancel it. The older man that works there said no problem. We order from this place a lot and the food is good, that is without a doubt. But the way this man does business and speaks to customers, let alone REGULAR CUSTOMERS, is not something we will be subject to. We've seen him lose it on other people and thought maybe he was just overworked but this is entirely unacceptable. ANYWAY, we call back about fifteen minutes ago, errands finished, and finally ordered our pizza. We went to pick it up and he handed us an hours old pizza claiming he had already made the pizza we had originally ordered and that we'd either settle for this old, cold pizza, or he would not serve us anymore. First of all, what???? Have you ever heard of someone doing something like that???? He claims he makes pizzas and all other foods fresh so how, in the five minute gap between us calling you to place the order and then cancel it did you complete a pizza? I didn't know pizza only took 5 minutes to cook. Then, when my boyfriend said to him that this was ridiculous he screamed at him to "shut up!" I have never in my life experienced anything like this. There were customers eating in his establishment as he had a meltdown; that's no way to do business. No way AT ALL. We will never be going here again. Awful awful experience. read more

I seen the reviews and thought I'd stop in on my way home. I received fast service from the cashier and he suggested I go with the platter because it was a lot of food. The platter was $18.67 and I thought that was a little pricey but thought I would get what I paid for. Well...that's the exact opposite of what I received, I got about 10 shavings of cold lamb that sat on top of a very small portion of rice. I also received a salad with little to no lettuce but had the right amount of toppings on it. I actually chopped up some spinach at home and put the salad on top considering there wasn't lettuce. There was a small serving of tasteless soup and in the corner taking up a good amount of space in the box the rice and lamb was in was hummus covered in olives. The fact that the person at the register suggested I buy the most expensive thing on the menu and it was cold, tasteless, and an incredible small portion just rubs me in the wrong way entirely. Not only will I never be going back but I live across the street and I will suggest nobody else visits this establishment either. read more

I wish I could give a higher review but I'm still a bit confused about my experience ( I take partial responsibility- see bottom of my comment) . I ordered, for pick up, an XL. Pizza w 2 toppings on one side and two other toppings in the other side. The owner asked if I wanted wings, and he recommended 3 types, 5 each, and I agreed. When I got there at agreed on time, food was ready. Given that there aren't online prices, I looked up at the wall, and had a ball park of $24 for pizza and $17 for wings- high but the food reviews were generally good. The owner showed me the food -20 wings- wasn't sure if he was throwing in some for free? He then came up with a total of $65 or so, and I had a look of shock in my face. I was charged the price of 4 toppings rather than two ( as I am customarily charged)and rather than the price for 20 wings, he charged me 4 orders of 5 ( much more than the 20 wing price) He knocked some money off the bill- but then he asked me for a tip. I'd picked up the food at the counter! I asked why a tip and he said " well I discounted your food, right"?When I got down the street , we got to try the food. The pizza was fine. The wings were tiny, one box only had 4 instead of 5 , and the sauces were not very good. I love supporting small businesses and would pay more to do so, but I am wondering why his method of pricing up , is so different from other pizza places. The tip request was the icing on the cake- I can't let go of the feeling that the owner thought I was an easy mark. I learned my lesson--for future customers , get an exact price before you get off the phone! read more
