Really solid choice for something easy and not crazy expensive at Santana Row. We've been here a couple times now and it's pretty consistently enjoyable. The pizza crust is very good! As other reviews have mentioned the biggest problem is it's a little too thin around the middle. But the fluffy chewy crust is very enjoyable. I highly recommend the Bianca. They have a full bar with some interesting cocktails on the menu. I keep coming back for the Greyhound's Tooth. It's made with fresh grapefruit juice and it's just so good. I'm only knocking a star as service has been medium good. Some service has been fantastic and others a little neglectful. Food is great with small room for improvements. If I could do 4.5, I would, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area shopping around! read more

The food here falls a bit short. The location is great - right in the middle of Santana Row, but I think that's all that going for this place. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and we were able to be seated without a reservation. The vibe is really casual, and we saw lots of people in big groups. The service and food were okay but nothing really stood out. Our pizza had a good amount of cheese, but the middle was so thin that it basically disintegrated as we picked up each slice. The gnocchi was pretty doughy and bland, but the salad on top was really good and saves the dish. We also got 2 sodas by the staffs' recommendation and one of them wasn't even carbonated , which in my opinion, is the whole point of a soda. I've come back to Pizza Antica two weeks in a row now! This is a spot super close to my workplace so I always bring my coworkers along to try new menu items. So far every dish I've had has been very solid. Definitely would recommend the burrata appetizer since it's very fresh and unique (also perfect for cheese lovers like me). Their pizzas are on the thinner side so the portion is perfect for two people. I also love their gnocchi, the sauce goes really well and they got the pasta texture down. Also nice that there's arugula on the top for some greens. The servers have also been very attentive but they do get pretty packed during lunch times. Last one came here for a dinner on a Saturday evening make sure to call in advance for reservation reservations because when we arrived, only one table was available right next to the door, but with asking for assistance, we were able to be relocated to the table next to it. Our servers were quick and patient. The Caesar salad was very tasty and great to share it paired well with the potato pizza. The potato pizza was also very yummy but we wish we could've had more. I would say the portions are a bit small for us to. It would have been nice if there was different options regarding size. In fact, the total cost of food for our group was somehow cheaper than one round of drinks, which felt like a small victory. It was absolutely packed when we went, which is always a good sign, or at least a sign that other people had the same lack of reservations that we did. We ended up sitting outside because the wait time was shorter, a decision that felt optimistic at first and questionable shortly after. There were heat lamps, but they were more decorative than functional, and the cold definitely made itself known. In general Santana row is super nice (esp coming from someone who lives in SF), and this pizza spot is not a bad place to grab a relatively affordable bite if you want something casual with a slightly elevated ambiance. It's hard to find potato pizza in San Jose. Discovered Pizza Antica at Santana Row has an Heirloom Potato Pizza and decided to give it a try. I added chicken to the pizza and had it delivered. It was wonderful. The crust was thin, and so were the slices of potato. The truffle oil added a nice flavor and I loved the caramelized onions. This time we had a group of 6, and I called 30 minutes in advance to be added to the waitlist. I arrived before my family and checked in with the host, and they said that we could be seated once half the party showed up. Two of our guests were quite late, so we ordered two appetizers to share. The rosemary focaccia was warm and toasty, although we would have liked more olive oil. We also ordered the cacio e pepe fries and those were quite a hit. Flavorful, crispy, and delicious, the cacio e pepe fries were finished pretty quickly. We also ordered two salads and three pizzas to share. Both salads were okay, the little gem lettuce salad had some wilted pieces and caesar salad was fine. The heirloom potato pizza with white truffle oil is my go-to, and was tasty and comforting. The summer corn pizza with basil & peppers was a good pizza too. We somehow ordered too much food, and had nearly a whole pizza to take home with us. The customer service was excellent and our server was friendly and attentive. I didn't catch his name unfortunately, but he was quite welcoming and helpful during our meal. The restaurant was quite busy for a late Saturday lunch, but we had an enjoyable meal and did not feel rushed while eating. We ended up waiting close to an hour for a table, but thankfully the location made the wait a lot more manageable since we could just walk around Santana Row and explore while we waited. When we finally sat down, the food definitely worth the wait. I ordered the heirloom pizza, and it ended up being one of the most unique pizzas I've had. The potato and olive oil flavors worked together so well on the pizza, and it felt different from the standard pizzas you can get anywhere else. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their pizzas too. The area itself is beautiful, but parking can definitely be a challenge. Even with the parking structure nearby, it still took a while to find a spot because the entire area gets extremely busy, especially with the large shopping center across the street adding even more street traffic. If you're planning to come during peak hours or on a weekend, I'd definitely recommend getting a reservation and getting here early to give yourself extra time for parking. read more
