Ribeye steak with blue cheese Demi glaze

This is a locally owned. It is the kind of place where they know your name. I go here once a week. Staff are friendly and make you feel like part of the Mio family. It is quaint and can be packed on weekends. A few years ago I hosted my parents 50th anniversary in there banquet room. Holds about 50. House red wine is great but I just discovered their Pinot Grigio is delish. My go to dish is the Baked Penne sausage. I had there special the Rib Eye steak with Blue cheese Demi glaze , mashes potatoes and veggies. It was tender and full of flavor. The glaze was so good I used it as gravy on my potatoes. For dessert, they have the best options for cheesecake. You need to call to know what the special is for the day. Pumpkin cheesecake and Espresso with chocolate chips is to die for, make sure you leave room.

A local italian restaurant known for its homemade pasta and pizza I tried the Chicken Cannelloni. The fresh pasta was filled with chicken, mushrooms, spinach, quattro formaggi, and oregano, then baked in a rich provolone and marsala cream sauce, topped with toasted pine nuts. The sauce is so rich and velvety I also tried the Shrimp Pie. It came with prawns, rock shrimp, pesto, pine nuts, and plenty of melty cheese. The shrimp was fresh and well-seasoned, and the combination worked beautifully. Their tiramisu is a must try and it did not disappoint. Classic Italian style -- bold coffee flavor, not too sweet, and perfectly creamy.

Found this Italian restaurant in Sant Clara. Staff was very friendly and professional. We got seated right away. There's a private parking lot as well as some street parking. Very nice decor with plenty of seating. Some outdoor seating available. I thought the food was delicious.

Food is normal - 3 star; service is great, 4 star. My friend loved this place and recommended us over for lunch. It fits into the neighborhood and not as quite standing out as a grand place. Inside was also a bit plain, not much of those red and white checkered Italian designs. It has a bar area that took up a good half of the place as the place is like a long rectagle deep in. Street parking. I was greeted right away when I sat down and asked for my drink request. Service was informal but plenty. We were offered cheese twice as the first time we were distracted with food pictures. We asked for small plates to share the dessert, water refill and was checked on. No free bread for the table, it was $2 a basket but they are cold and the crust seemed too hard for me. The interesting thing is it comes with a plate of roasted garlic cloves which are tasty. I'd rather eat the garlic cloves and I actually put some more into my pasta. My portobello fusili with chicken was ok, pleasantly surprised that added chicken was $5 and not $6 as the menu stated. Pasta was cooked el dente and the sauce evenly coated on the pasta. The scallop salad looked great and sumptuous, they did not go cheap on the scallops. Shellfish pasta at $23 is reasonable. The Oreo bread pudding was better than I thought. It was huge, 3 of us shared for 2 servings and still ended up with a quarter left. It's not as busy as we were afraid, so it was a good place to do a catch up lunch.

We loved our dinner here! Came on a Thursday night. The ambiance is cozy and perfect for a relaxed dinner. 5/5 for the wonderful service! Must orders: Had an amazing gnocchi (it was creamy and the texture was perfect) The calamari was crispy and delicious. The ones I'd Skip: The chicken cannelloni had handmade pasta (I'd skip this one as it was a bit too salty. Tiramisu was decent.

Were in Santa Clara for the game and decided to try this place on a Sunday afternoon. The place was alittle busy but didn't effect the service because it was A+. The food was delicious and fresh. I also got the blueberry bread pudding which I love bread pudding and that too was good. I would definitely recommend this place if your looking for great food.

What can I say but that it was absolutely delicious. I wish I could remember the name of the dish. I recall it was a sage, artichoke cream sauce type of dish. So if you see something like that on the menu that's it. I chose it for the creative use of flavors, and damn was it good. I thought I wouldn't be able to eat it all, but boy was I wrong. The food came out fresh and was topped by the server with fresh parmesan. And I just couldn't stop. Haha. I will say the Restaurant it self was packed and my companion and myself barely fit into our little side tables. But if you are ever in the San Jose area drop in and try something new!

I haven't been here for a few years because I moved but wow, I feel like the food got even better. It was five stars before but it's even better now.. I did my honeymoon in Italy the food here I prefer this place more . you gotta try the polenta and the eggplant for the appetizer and also the cheesy bread. My entrée was delicious. Salmon and spinach was drizzled in butter. Lot of these Italian restaurants don't offer eggplant proper Anna but the one here is amazing. They have a great selection of desserts. You have to try as well.

This us one of those places that's been around forever! The food is consistently delicious and I love that they have frequent changes in their weekly menu. The restaurant seating is limited, but usually not a long wait to be seated and the environment is definitely cozy. The service is always engaging and friendly as well.

I loved the family vibe. Everyone knew everyone. It was my first time, so I was not treated the same. Glass of house white wine $13 Chicken Cannelloni - way too rich. I ordered it because it says it is made in house. The pasta needed a knife. Spinach was thrown on top. Pine nuts were also thrown on top. The chicken got stuck in my teeth. The ladies with the curly hair were super great.

We checked in at the front desk and were escorted to our table. Our server Manny took excellent care of us from beginning to end. He gave us excellent recommendations on things to try, which we really appreciated. We started off the evening with some cocktails. My husband tried the Kickin' Old Fashioned and I tried the Margarita Italiano, that was recommended by Manny. My husband enjoyed his drink and I loved the Margarita Italiano. It was so good! For our appetizer, Manny recommended his personal favorite, which was the Burrata Con Prosciutto. We decided to try it and I'm so glad we did. It was so delicious. He poured a bit of balsamic vinegar on top of the Burrata, and it really made the dish superb. The Prosciutto melted in my mouth and paired perfectly with the Burrata, balsamic vinegar and arugula. We will definitely get that again in the future. For our main dishes, Manny recommended the Linguine Mare Chiaro. I decided to try that and my husband ordered the Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, from their house specials menu. Our dishes arrived fresh and hot. My Linguine Mare Chiaro had clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in a roasted cherry tomato and white wine sauce. It was delicious. The linguine was cooked perfectly and seafood portions were generous. My husband's dish, Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, was a pan seared halibut fillet with a lemon caper sauce served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our main dishes. My husband was happily surprised he got two pieces of halibut. Both dishes were delicious and filling. Manny took excellent care of us and gave us the best recommendations. We had a wonderful experience dining here and look forward to many more in the future. I hope we are lucky enough to have Manny again, as our server. A big thank you to Manny for making our night special.

This is the kind of place you would go to for Father's Day as it's kind of place to go to for a business lunch or a business dinner. The staff here is very good in terms of level of service and knowledge of the menu and making you comfortable. Really the only reason I am giving three stars rather than something higher is because I don't think they do a good job with their pasta dishes. I had the spaghetti Pomodoro with Italian sausage added (upcharge), and there was almost no Italian sausage in the dish. And the noodles were a sticky mass. I believe you are better advised to order from the grill as my dinner mate's rosemary chicken looked very good and he ate it all. My wife is vegetarian and there is almost nothing hot for her to eat apart from the disappointing spaghetti pomodoro or the grilled zucchini. There are also some pizzas. The beet salad was excellent as was the Caprese salad and the minestrone soup. I had the Volo cocktail which is their version of a Paper Plane. Another dinner mate had the Sorrento King which comes under glass with smoke. My drink was good, but hers was better. It has been probably 15 or 20 years since ate at one of their locations and I don't think I'll be back without a protest. They have their target market, but I realize I am not part of it. They will do fine without me and I will keep looking for an Italian restaurant I like in the Bay Area.

To be honest, when I opened the menu, I thought the price was a bit on the high side, and didn't expect to like it in the "worth it" scale. But hey, for a higher price, they better deliver on the food quality! It most certainly disappoint. The food was amazing. Got the Linguini Fruti Di Mare, the seafood was good quality, the cioppino sauce was intense. It truly is the boss of the sauce. Also ordered the Chicken Marsala, I'm always cautious before ordering because the marsala wine can easily become overwhelming, or the sauce is too sour, or the chicken is tough and dry. I did not hit any of those, but rather, what I got was a few silky smooth and tender pieces of flattened chicken breasts, that is moist and flavorful. The sauce is great too, not to mention the mushroom, that is so fresh and flavorful on its own. Last but not least, their attention to detail went all the way to mashed potato and steamed vegetables. It was truly one of the best. Did I mention the free, fresh baked foccacia? It's among the top 3 I've had in any restaurants, ever. At the end, even it pinches my wallet a bit, it was well worth it. The 2 page menu has appetizers, salad, pizza, pasta, and 3 entree dishes. Desserts are printed on a separate sheet, there are a variety of choices but a tad too expensive for my wallet. We ordered the Ravioli a la Teresa with cheese and pesto cream sauce, and their signature Sorelle Short Rib Bolognese. After ordering, we were given free bread for the table. The bread had herbs on top and the dipping sauce is olive oil with fried and then mashed soft garlic. The bread looked nothing special, but once I touched it, I was delighted to find out that they were warm and crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. It took a bit of wait for our food to came, I think it meant they were freshly cooked. The portions were big. Once laying down our food, the lady came with a big bowl of cheese and helped us sprinkle on top. It looks amazing with the cheese on top, like snow flakes melting on. I am so impressed with my short rib bolognese. The piece of short rib was sumptuous, a whole piece, resting on top of the pasta that is covered in meat sauce. The meat itself was so soft that it was super easy to tear off and just melts in my mouth. Flavorful and soft and juicy, super yummy! The pasta is cooked el dente, and each bite there's a bit of ground meat coated on the ziti pasta from the bolognese sauce. Very satisfying! I had a bite of the ravioli and these huge dumplings are covered in fresh pesto sauce and very cheesy inside. Although I was a bit confused on the difference between a pesto sauce and a pesto cream. I felt like the sauce was more pesto but we ordered pesto cream. Anyhow, it tasted good but I prefer my short rib bolognese more. Bus boy service is fast and responsive. We had a very enjoyable meal.

No, the restaurant itself ( in a casual, rustic sort of way ) is very cozy and warm. inviting in a semi-formal way where you can relax to enjoy a fine meal and that is exactly what my family had. Our waiter was an affable fellow named Armando who is one of those servers that, as any good waiter does, is truly attentive to your whims and instinctively anticipates what you may want and he was perfect at his job. He served us water and a very food delicious basket of freshly baked bread ( which inadvertently set the tone for the meal to come because it was beyond excellent ) and named off the house specials, which were all mouth-watering at hearing them but it was the rib eye steak that caught my attention and that is what I ordered and also a ginger beer as well ( Fever Tree no doubt about it ). My family also ordered their food and then we waited for what what it seemed was an eternity for our meal to come. After about 40 minutes our meals came and they did not disappoint, from presentation to the flavor, taste and consistency of it all. I honestly don't remember eating my meal because it was done in 5 minutes... yes. it was that good and beyond delicious! I remember the steak was tender, juicy, grilled perfectly, the gravy was hearty and robust. the vegetables were cooked right ( fresh and tangy ) and the mashed potatoes were oh so fluffy and creamy. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal to the fullest and I left no food on my plate. This was a meal that was pretty epic for what it was and I was throughly satisfied.
