A local italian restaurant known for its homemade pasta and pizza I tried the Chicken Cannelloni. The fresh pasta was filled with chicken, mushrooms, spinach, quattro formaggi, and oregano, then baked in a rich provolone and marsala cream sauce, topped with toasted pine nuts. The sauce is so rich and velvety I also tried the Shrimp Pie. It came with prawns, rock shrimp, pesto, pine nuts, and plenty of melty cheese. The shrimp was fresh and well-seasoned, and the combination worked beautifully. Their tiramisu is a must try and it did not disappoint. Classic Italian style -- bold coffee flavor, not too sweet, and perfectly creamy.

Found this Italian restaurant in Sant Clara. Staff was very friendly and professional. We got seated right away. There's a private parking lot as well as some street parking. Very nice decor with plenty of seating. Some outdoor seating available. I thought the food was delicious.

Food is normal - 3 star; service is great, 4 star. My friend loved this place and recommended us over for lunch. It fits into the neighborhood and not as quite standing out as a grand place. Inside was also a bit plain, not much of those red and white checkered Italian designs. It has a bar area that took up a good half of the place as the place is like a long rectagle deep in. Street parking. I was greeted right away when I sat down and asked for my drink request. Service was informal but plenty. We were offered cheese twice as the first time we were distracted with food pictures. We asked for small plates to share the dessert, water refill and was checked on. No free bread for the table, it was $2 a basket but they are cold and the crust seemed too hard for me. The interesting thing is it comes with a plate of roasted garlic cloves which are tasty. I'd rather eat the garlic cloves and I actually put some more into my pasta. My portobello fusili with chicken was ok, pleasantly surprised that added chicken was $5 and not $6 as the menu stated. Pasta was cooked el dente and the sauce evenly coated on the pasta. The scallop salad looked great and sumptuous, they did not go cheap on the scallops. Shellfish pasta at $23 is reasonable. The Oreo bread pudding was better than I thought. It was huge, 3 of us shared for 2 servings and still ended up with a quarter left. It's not as busy as we were afraid, so it was a good place to do a catch up lunch.

We loved our dinner here! Came on a Thursday night. The ambiance is cozy and perfect for a relaxed dinner. 5/5 for the wonderful service! Must orders: Had an amazing gnocchi (it was creamy and the texture was perfect) The calamari was crispy and delicious. The ones I'd Skip: The chicken cannelloni had handmade pasta (I'd skip this one as it was a bit too salty. Tiramisu was decent.

What can I say but that it was absolutely delicious. I wish I could remember the name of the dish. I recall it was a sage, artichoke cream sauce type of dish. So if you see something like that on the menu that's it. I chose it for the creative use of flavors, and damn was it good. I thought I wouldn't be able to eat it all, but boy was I wrong. The food came out fresh and was topped by the server with fresh parmesan. And I just couldn't stop. Haha. I will say the Restaurant it self was packed and my companion and myself barely fit into our little side tables. But if you are ever in the San Jose area drop in and try something new!

Were in Santa Clara for the game and decided to try this place on a Sunday afternoon. The place was alittle busy but didn't effect the service because it was A+. The food was delicious and fresh. I also got the blueberry bread pudding which I love bread pudding and that too was good. I would definitely recommend this place if your looking for great food.

Amazing food! Amazing service! So yummy you want to lick the plate. Highly recommend! Took my son 6 minutes to scarf down a plate of chicken parm. So so good!

I haven't been here for a few years because I moved but wow, I feel like the food got even better. It was five stars before but it's even better now.. I did my honeymoon in Italy the food here I prefer this place more . you gotta try the polenta and the eggplant for the appetizer and also the cheesy bread. My entrée was delicious. Salmon and spinach was drizzled in butter. Lot of these Italian restaurants don't offer eggplant proper Anna but the one here is amazing. They have a great selection of desserts. You have to try as well.

This us one of those places that's been around forever! The food is consistently delicious and I love that they have frequent changes in their weekly menu. The restaurant seating is limited, but usually not a long wait to be seated and the environment is definitely cozy. The service is always engaging and friendly as well.

I loved the family vibe. Everyone knew everyone. It was my first time, so I was not treated the same. Glass of house white wine $13 Chicken Cannelloni - way too rich. I ordered it because it says it is made in house. The pasta needed a knife. Spinach was thrown on top. Pine nuts were also thrown on top. The chicken got stuck in my teeth. The ladies with the curly hair were super great.

They were consistent as last time: excellent fried chicken, aromatic and creamy risotto, fresh tuna fish, and pizza crust on the soggy side, though delicious. This time, with two more eaters, we also order pasta. They were great. Mentaiko is salted fish poe very popular in Taiwan and I loved it. The Italian styled one they used looked more like a sausage, but scantly served as if they were caviar. I wish they had removed the casing (or the fish egg sack). That did not diminish the intense flavor. The Tonkatsu pasta was standard bolognese one topped with Japanese styled sliced Tonkatsu. Both were tasty, but the combination did not enhance each other. It is, therefore, not a harmonic "fusion." I like this Japanese-Italian fusion style. Will come again.

The seating area isn't that big so I would recommend to make a reservation or be prepared to wait. I came with a large party of 7 and we waited 1 hour to be seated for dinner on a Friday night. But the food was worth it! Uni pasta: Very creamy almost like mentaiko, with seared uni and ikura sprinkled throughout. Pasta was cooked well and the uni wasn't too fishy, I liked this dish a lot. Mentaiko cream spaghetti: Tried a few bites and this was also good, although less creamy than the uni pasta surprisingly. Mentaiko mayo mochi cheese pizza: Mentaiko sauce with mochi pieces, cheese, and sausages for toppings. The mochi bits were super interesting and I liked this dish second best after uni pasta. Japanese mushroom melody pizza: Just tasted like straight mushrooms and the dough was soggy on this one. Would not order again. Also ordered at the table: Salmon Shimeji spaghetti and Sukiyaki pasta

He spent 20 minutes with us to not just answer questions but to act as an advocate on our behalf. Coordinating with the chefs, deep diving into the ingredients, making suggestions and alterations for a meal that more closely resembled a home cooked meal than an Italian restaurant. We left Maggiano's feeling like we had made a new lifelong friend. This wasn't just service, it was a consultation. I selfishly hope that Johnathon is with Maggiano's for a long time and that the company recognizes his intellectual and social skills. To be honest, when I opened the menu, I thought the price was a bit on the high side, and didn't expect to like it in the "worth it" scale. But hey, for a higher price, they better deliver on the food quality! It most certainly disappoint. The food was amazing. Got the Linguini Fruti Di Mare, the seafood was good quality, the cioppino sauce was intense. It truly is the boss of the sauce. Also ordered the Chicken Marsala, I'm always cautious before ordering because the marsala wine can easily become overwhelming, or the sauce is too sour, or the chicken is tough and dry. I did not hit any of those, but rather, what I got was a few silky smooth and tender pieces of flattened chicken breasts, that is moist and flavorful. The sauce is great too, not to mention the mushroom, that is so fresh and flavorful on its own. Last but not least, their attention to detail went all the way to mashed potato and steamed vegetables. It was truly one of the best. Did I mention the free, fresh baked foccacia? It's among the top 3 I've had in any restaurants, ever. At the end, even it pinches my wallet a bit, it was well worth it. Sorelle is a small restaurant, upon entering, it has a square room and you get to see everything at one glance. It's not fancy on decorations, more like a neighborly place and the customers look like so too, families and large groups on a random day, you don't need to dress up to eat in this place. The 2 page menu has appetizers, salad, pizza, pasta, and 3 entree dishes. Desserts are printed on a separate sheet, there are a variety of choices but a tad too expensive for my wallet. We ordered the Ravioli a la Teresa with cheese and pesto cream sauce, and their signature Sorelle Short Rib Bolognese. After ordering, we were given free bread for the table. The bread had herbs on top and the dipping sauce is olive oil with fried and then mashed soft garlic. The bread looked nothing special, but once I touched it, I was delighted to find out that they were warm and crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. It took a bit of wait for our food to came, I think it meant they were freshly cooked. The portions were big. Once laying down our food, the lady came with a big bowl of cheese and helped us sprinkle on top. It looks amazing with the cheese on top, like snow flakes melting on. I am so impressed with my short rib bolognese. The piece of short rib was sumptuous, a whole piece, resting on top of the pasta that is covered in meat sauce. The meat itself was so soft that it was super easy to tear off and just melts in my mouth. Flavorful and soft and juicy, super yummy! The pasta is cooked el dente, and each bite there's a bit of ground meat coated on the ziti pasta from the bolognese sauce. Very satisfying! I had a bite of the ravioli and these huge dumplings are covered in fresh pesto sauce and very cheesy inside. Although I was a bit confused on the difference between a pesto sauce and a pesto cream. I felt like the sauce was more pesto but we ordered pesto cream. Anyhow, it tasted good but I prefer my short rib bolognese more. Bus boy service is fast and responsive. We had a very enjoyable meal.
