Chicken piccata with yummy mashed potatoes

Great Italian bistro tucked away in Campbell. The food was excellent and they even have cocktails. They don't take reservations, but it's well worth the weight. We had chicken piccata, eggplant, Parmesan, and a fancy Italian pasta dish whose name I forgot. Service is fast and friendly, and we will definitely come back again. There's a little parking lot right outside the door, which makes this super convenient.

Sorelle is a very popular Italian restaurant in the middle of a residential neighborhood in West Campbell. It's nice and clean but sparse on the "Italian vibe" decoration. The staff is very friendly and talkative. They were always looking after us and gave us their best recommendations. The free bread was delicious and on the table as we sat down. The food was decent, but not extraordinary. I wasn't expecting Michelin stars here but I was hoping for a bit more flavor elevation considering the reviews and crowds. The short rib bolognese had good texture but the flavors were really just missing something. The salmon piccata had a nice size piece of salmon but the sides were not exceptional.

The true definition of a hidden gem. This place is in a small stripmall tucked away fairly deep in a neighbrohood, and you probably wouldn't find it unless it was recommended to you. I'd heard about it a bunch over the years, and finally stopped in for dinner. My mom and I ordered a couple apps and one entree to share, and with the larger portions here, that was a great call. I'm a fairly big eater, and we had plenty leftover. To start we got a caesar salad, garlic bread, and Arancini Balls Stuffed with Bolognese and Romano. We didn't realize the meal already came with complimentary bread, and a really good dip, so I would forgo the garlic bread next time. The garlic bread was very good, it was just too much with everything else. The Caesar salad was good, very standard. The Arancini Balls weren't my favorite, but I did love the pesto marinara that they came in, that sauce was probably my favorite part of the meal. For our entree we shared the Sorelle Short Rib Bolognese, which was a pretty large portion. The short rib wasn't uniformly tender, but there were some very good tender bites. After everything else we ate, we probably only ate about half of this. We didn't have a dedicated server and were helped by different people throughout the meal, but service was very friendly from everyone we interacted with.

Hmm, I can't seem to find my review of Sorelle Italian Bistro, so I will try to recreate it from memory. Sorelle is one of my friend's favorite mom & pop restaurants. Its'a family owned Italian restaurant in a little strip off of San Tomas Expressway. It's kind of tucked away in a residential area, so you have to be looking for it. Based on my one visit, I would say you should definitely go looking for Sorelle. We started off my sharing the fried calamari. It was super tender, and I love that in addition to the rings, it came with the tentacles! My friend had the Chicken Marsala, and I ordered the Linguini Fruiti Mare. All of the seafood were perfectly cooked, and the pasta was filling. The sauce had a little kick for this wimp, but the flavor was so tasty, I couldn't stop eating. I just had to wipe up all my sweat. Everything was enjoyable, and I can see why Sorelle's is one of my friend's regular go to spots for homecooked Italian food.

Sorelle is open for lunch! As always, the food is fantastic with more than generous servings and charming service. The music was perfect for the afternoon.

I'm always into trying new locations and dishes within the South Bay because I like to think of myself as open minded. Sorelle Italian Bistro was recommended to me by a close friend and told me to come by and see what I thought of it. Service was amazing, very kind and generous workers all around the restaurant with an excellent vibe that anyone can enjoy. The pasta for me was decent, not horrible but not excellent. I do believe it was probably the seasoning they used or maybe not enough of it that made it taste very bland to me. The noodles were fresh but the chicken tasted a little dry and the broccoli didn't have that unique texture to it. Overall, I would like to give this restaurant another opportunity to see if my initial impression is valid and maybe it was just a bad day for the cooks when I went the first time. Highly recommend though to people who want to have a festive evening with great vibes and an abundance of fresh food.

So happy that Yelp found me this place. Looking for something between my son in Cupertino and myself in Almaden Valley and this one showed up. I don't think I could find it any other way as it is one tiny strip mall in the middle of a large residential area. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, really enjoy the bread and olive oil with olives appetizer that comes complementary. We shared two dishes and they were very large. Sorelle Short Rib Bolognese ($24) and the Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken ($22). they are Alfredo sauce is so rich, it does take some time to recover from the marvelous calorie intake :-) The short ribs were extremely tender as well.

My husband and I went to Sorelle Italian Bistro for the first time and had a fantastic birthday dinner. The restaurant is not on a main thoroughfare, but you know it's good when most of the cars in the small parking lot are their diners. We had artichoke hearts as a starter. They were delicious! The ceasar salad and our entrees (beef short ribs and chicken parm) did not disappoint. We wrapped up this wonderful dinner with a lemon/raspberry cake. The portions are generous. A great value, especially good for large families. We will be back.

I FINALLY had the chance to try this neighborhood gem and I have to say it was the best decision I made last night. If you are looking for a delicious and hearty Italian meal, this is truly the place to go. This place is located in an area not very busy and very close to a normal neighborhood. However, this spot should not be missed as it is that great. We knew it was a neighborhood staple, with lots of regular returning customers and finally tried it. We started of with a complimentary bread which was amazing. Crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside, it came with a delicious garlicky sauce as well. For our mains we ordered: * Chicken broccoli pesto fusili pasta - this was DIVINE.... me and the husband could not stop eating this... and we can't wait to go back and get it again *Short Rib Bolognese - the lady helping us recommended this one and the short rib (true to word) was fall off the bone And soft/tender. The pasta in the bolognese sauce went perfectly well with it. *Tiramisu - this was delicious as well... by the time I was able to take a picture, the husband had eaten 1/3 of it... it was that good. There are these teeny chocolate chips in the tiramisu that make it delicious Overall, fantastic experience and we will definitely be back! Ambiance is also perfect for different occasions and the service here is absolutely TOP NOTCH! Give this place a try!

Mostly met with friendly service but ultimately wouldn't come back because of the food dishes being a little bit undercooked (i.e. gnocchi) and the bread being a bit dry. But, very sizable portions!

The restaurant has interesting decor and is not like most establishments of this nature as it is informal and is not in " the fine linen and white tablecloth " type of vein. No, the restaurant itself ( in a casual, rustic sort of way ) is very cozy and warm. inviting in a semi-formal way where you can relax to enjoy a fine meal and that is exactly what my family had. Our waiter was an affable fellow named Armando who is one of those servers that, as any good waiter does, is truly attentive to your whims and instinctively anticipates what you may want and he was perfect at his job. He served us water and a very food delicious basket of freshly baked bread ( which inadvertently set the tone for the meal to come because it was beyond excellent ) and named off the house specials, which were all mouth-watering at hearing them but it was the rib eye steak that caught my attention and that is what I ordered and also a ginger beer as well ( Fever Tree no doubt about it ). My family also ordered their food and then we waited for what what it seemed was an eternity for our meal to come. After about 40 minutes our meals came and they did not disappoint, from presentation to the flavor, taste and consistency of it all. I honestly don't remember eating my meal because it was done in 5 minutes... yes. it was that good and beyond delicious! I remember the steak was tender, juicy, grilled perfectly, the gravy was hearty and robust. the vegetables were cooked right ( fresh and tangy ) and the mashed potatoes were oh so fluffy and creamy. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal to the fullest and I left no food on my plate. This was a meal that was pretty epic for what it was and I was throughly satisfied. I ordered a tiramisu for dessert to take home and I'm sure it will be as good as the meal I had at the restaurant. Trattoria 360 is a fine establishment that has earned its flowers and you should give them a try if you're looking for delicious Italian food that is a cut above!

The fresh warm sourdough bread has inspired me to start consuming more of this gut healthy bread. They even serve their water in a glass wine bottle (no more plastic consumption for me.) The food looked good, but my date and I didn't get a chance to try it. I live in the area and have always seen this place when going past. It looked cool and since it had such great yelp review, I thought tonight would be a good time to try it out. Just got out from a comedy show and we arrived at 9:10pm - it says they close at 10pm so we should be ok right? We only wanted to stop in, get a drink or two, and maybe 1-2 apps. After being greeted by the host, who was very nice, we told her that we just wanted to sit at the bar and get a drink and maybe a couple apps. She said "great!" with a big smile and led us there. While being led there I noted that the place had really cool decor and lighting, felt very cozy and italian. This is where it switched from a nice experience into a really quite bad one. As soon as we sat at the bar we felt unwelcome. There was a bartender there, middle-aged man with glasses and longish shaggy black hair that immediately gave us a "mean mug" type look. "That's strange..." I thought to myself. He did not greet us and seemed pre-occupied with closing the bar, wrapping up the beer spigots etc. The vibe was totally off, we are unwanted it seems. We sat there for maybe 1-2 minutes until he finally turned to us and said "Are you guys waiting for someone?" "We just want a menu" my date replied. "The restaurant is closed" he said, in quite a brusk and rude tone. I looked at my watch. It was 9:15pm. "But it says you guys close at 10pm, is that not the case?" I piped up. "No." he said, shaking his head. He turned his back to us. At this point I thought, lets go to a place that wants our money. I work with customers in my day job and would never be able to interact with a customer in the way he did. Honestly, if you're that way with customers I feel you're more suited to a warehouse job than you are working a bar. "We're not wanted here, lets leave" I said to my date. We got up and left. With people working like that working at their restaurant - save your money and go to some place else with good service. If the bar itself was closed, fine, offer us a table or something. Be nice about it. Instead we got quite rude (non)service. Again, the host was nice, keep her. But buyer beware - if you come during the last hour expect to be treated like you're unwanted garbage from unfriendly bartenders. Maybe update your hours if you "actually" close 50 minutes before it says you do?

The carbonara was amazing--served super hot with great flavor and a solid amount of meat. Easily a 10/10. One tip though: eat it while it's hot, because once it cools down, it's not quite the same. The seafood pasta was also a standout. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were on point, and it felt surprisingly light for a pasta dish. You know how pasta can sometimes feel heavy? This didn't have that at all. Another 10/10. The pesto pasta (a special that day) was just okay for me. It leaned a bit too oily, and the pesto flavor didn't really come through. They added ricotta, which kind of overpowered everything else. I did like the portion and the amount of meat, but overall I'd give it a 7/10. The ambiance was decent--nothing too special, but clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. It felt like a family-run place--three brothers along with their wives and kids--and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. They gave great recommendations and even helped accommodate my mom by seating us closer to the bathroom, which I really appreciated. Just a heads up: it's in downtown Los Gatos, so parking can be a bit tricky since there's no private lot. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place. The portions and quality justify the price, and it stands out as one of the better Italian spots in the Bay Area.

Where do I even begin to start about brunch at Be.Steak.A. This is indeed a special dining…read moreexperience. My bestie and I came here for their all you can eat buffet brunch on Mother's Day. We started out with complimentary glasses of Prosecco and sparkling cider while we waited to be seated. There was a little delay in getting our table, but it wasn't really a problem because we were chatting and enjoying the drinks. Before we entered, they had a floral photo wall where we took a photo together to memorialize the experience. And when we sat at the table, they had placed a lovely Mother's Day card on the table signed by the staff. The decor at Be.Steak.A is modern and feels very upscale. I think the bathrooms say a lot about a restaurant's attention to detail, and the bathrooms at Be.Steak.A were elevated - essential oil infused salt scrub to wash your hands, bidets, etc. The brunch buffet is just as described - hot items and pastries in the kitchen (so cool), a caviar bar outside, a separate station for cold seafood, another station for fruit and charcuterie, and then assorted desserts on the bar. The food was excellent. We started with the caviar -- the options and accouterments were plentiful and delicious. The caviar bar was so fun and felt luxurious. This was one of the highlights of the whole experience for me. For the other seafood, we enjoyed oysters, shrimp, crab legs, and other little seafood dishes, which unfortunately weren't labeled, so we didn't always know what we were eating. My friend had some dietary restrictions she was concerned about, so that was a little frustrating for her. But my favorite bite of the entire day was one of those unmarked seafood dishes- I wish I could tell you what it was -I think it was possibly squid. But it was so fresh and flavorful. Yum! The hot food in the kitchen was a neat experience. They had skewers and prime rib and many other dishes to choose from. I kept coming back to the seafood skewers. We were a little bummed that the beef Wellington was just gone when we entered the kitchen. There was still about another hour and a half of brunch service left so that was a disappointment for us. They also had numerous pasties and this amazing bread pudding that I drizzled a Nutella sauce over and added some strawberries to. This was probably my third favorite bite of the day (after the little seafood dish and the caviar experience). I'd be remiss if I didn't give the truffled deviled eggs from the charcuterie area a shout out. These were so good we kept going back for more. The desserts were good but a number of them were a little dry, I have to say. Surprisingly, my favorite was a little passionfruit tart that had just the right amount of sweetness. I'm usually a chocolate kinda gal but there weren't that many chocolate options, I have to say. A few other things- our server was lovely and gave us a lay of the land to start. She made sure we had any drinks we wanted and plenty of extra silverware. While there just aren't as many touch points with a server at a buffet, the interactions we did have were very positive. And even though I was disappointed that they ran out of the Beef Wellington, I was so impressed with how they kept replenishing and refilling the other dishes right up to the end of the buffet. This was an incredible dining experience. I'd highly recommend this brunch buffet experience for special occasions. I'm looking forward to dining here for dinner in the not so distant future!

Our second go to Be.Steak.A. First time we had cocktails and some bites at the bar. Experience was…read moreok. It's been around a few years so we decided to give it another go. Sat at the bar again. Disclaimer is this is just my experience.... As we sat down we were greeted just fine. Ordered a couple cocktails. The wife received hers and about 5-8 mins later I asked for mine. Whether or not it was true the bartender said it needs time to set. Well you could have said it takes time while my wife was waiting to sip on hers(mediocre communication). We then proceeded to order the scallop appetizer. While the presentation was good. The scallops were rubbery and overcooked. A few mins later we had to ask to order some entrees. Key words "had to ask". I got the hot stone trio. She got the lobster risotto. We decided on indulging a little. While we were waiting I asked for a wine list... 5 minutes later I asked again different server finally got the list. No revisit. The food came. Still looking to order wine about 8-10 mins in a different bartender came in and asked, we ended up getting a bottle wine. The food: the hot stone trio, for $230, mediocre cuts of supposedly A5 Japanese wagyu. They were out of the Sanuki and said we'll substitute with an Oregon beef. Just not worth the money. The lobster was ok, the risotto was already cooled off, seemed like it was sitting. So for 2 of us with a $700 plus meal the service was not on par with other similar establishments. Combine that with food that was definitely not worth the $$$$, it is not a return for me. Including hosting business here. Not sure if they judged us cause we weren't all dressed up, due to just coming from the local movie theater or what, but service was not there, unfortunate.
