They bake the bread fresh to order so I would call it in (takes about 20 mins or so). Don't change it either, it is good as is! Roast beef, turkey, swiss, mozerella, provelone, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and dressing. Get pepperoncini on the side. Sounds intense with a lot of cheese but it is so delcious! The bread is just crispy and amazing. It is round a cut like a pizza and comes in various sizes (from personal to extra large). Great to share with a group! We picked up a Mario's Ultimate sandwich and a veggie pizza from here for a co-worker's bday lunch. I'd never had their food before, but heard rave reviews about how great of a place this was. In fact, a co-worker commented on how the Ultimate Sandwich changed his life. I don't think I'd go that far, but it definitely is worth checking out if you haven't come here before. The ultimate sandwich is in the shape of a pizza, but doesn't really include any of your typical pizza toppings. The sandwich comes with turkey, roast beef, a few cheeses, shredded lettuce, tomato, and avocado. It's served hot and tastes absolutely fantastic. We had ordered ahead for take-out. When we got there, they claimed to have given our order to someone else. So, in compensation, they gave us a free ultimate sandwich. That was very cool. The veggie pizza was loaded with green bell pepper, onions, pineapple, olives, mushrooms, and whole thin slices of tomatoes. The crust was a bit thick too. All the flavors went well together (I took the pineapple off). I would definitely come back again. I'd say the flavors and everything was just about Warehouse Pizza worthy. read more

Wings were my favorite here. Cooked crispy and lots of flavor, has a lot of salt which I personally don't mind at all because I love my foods very salty. They give you a big cup of buffalo sauce on the side with it which is also good and a bit spicy which kinda surprised me for a person like me who always eats spicy foods. Pizza was good but can only eat fresh for the best quality. You cannot eat the pizza after an hour it quickly gets stale, the dough gets too hard and the cheese taste sour after an hour, I tried left over by microwaving it and it completely lost its taste. The salad and the ultimate sandwich are fantastic, if you can find this place. its in a random shopping center that you'd never end up at if you didnt know about it. someone told me about this place thats how i got there. and similarly, once inside, the decor is depressing to the point you wanna slit your wrists. BUT, once you get past that, the food (that I had) is pretty good. I didnt actually have pizza but the basic green salad and the ultimate sandwich are good and incredible, respectively. This place is a flippin gem. Came here searching for decent pizza, left knowing that's not what you come here for. No doubt, try Mario's ultimate. It's just a tasty sammich encased in thin dough. Also had the spaghetti special (ayce for 3.99), which was more filler than anything else. Beer prices are cheap when on special (9 buck heiny pitchers? Yes!) Such a small quaint place but man do they have some hidden treasures on their menu! My best friend and I always go on Tuesdays for their Tacos. At $1.50 a piece and loaded with flavor, you can't go wrong. Also, as simple as it sounds, their house green salad is just absolutely a great deal. It's about $3 for a VERY generous portion and I highly recommend their Italian dressing. So good. Another thing that makes this place great is the staff. This hidden gem in La Verne is awesome. Hidden in the corner where the Michael's is. Even the street sign only says "Pizza" so you kinda need to know where you're going. This family owned restaurant has a friendly environment with great arrive and delicious food and is perfect to hangout and watch sports. They have a great Tuesday and Thursday special for their tacos (hard shell) and $2 Mexican imports. Awesome being able to order a Corona, Modelo Especial, or Pacifico for $2! They offer buckets as well, so a perfect bucket full of 5 bottles will cost $10! Doesn't get better than that. The owner, Mario, is practically always here, is very friendly, and cooks great food. A must try is Mario's Ultimate Sandwich. Yummmm! Many locals come here often and it has a homey feel to it. Definitely recommended to try this place out! read more

I've been coming here since I was about 10 and loved it since. Mario, the owner, is great. He's always friendly, comes and says hi, and makes sure his customers are taken care of. But this place is particularly different. Lots of positive reviews from coworkers, but after trying it I can't it was the best. I especially had to docked them on credibility because I found hair on my pizza. I got a mini hawaiian pizza, crust was very thick, that's about the only thing I didn't really like about it. Good local hangout joint. Nice local place to just sit around, eat pizza, salad, and drink. The cool thing is that it is super casual, so I could change out of my work clothes and into Hawaiian board shorts and a t-shirt, and go without any worries. Really small place so the focus is on conversation. Went with our friend who told us that some of the regulars have been going there for years. Trust me, I believe it. My little gremlins stayed busy playing video games, which was fine with me. They would run back asking me for more quarters and I willingly shelled them out. How can a mommy resist exposing her darlings to arcade games? The pizza is good. I especiallly like extra cheese and extra sauce. The loads of cheese makes you thirsty as hell, but that's when the beer and wine come into play, right? If you are looking for gourmet pizza, or a fancy pizza joint, keep driving...preferably into another city. Don't bother trying to order by phone. I was put on hold for 7 minutes at 3:30pm on a Saturday. But since it wasn't on hold ( the girl just put the phone down) I can hear the girl taking one order and then chatting with people during the 7 minutes. Soo I am a little embarrassed to say this, but I e lived in La Verne for 32 years and I've never been to Pizza Barn until tonight. We had an all day craving for a meatball sandwich and after some online research we decided pizza barn was the spot and WOW choose right. Super Big super delicious. We also ordered the Italian Style beef that was equally huge and delicious, and an antipasto sals which was very large fresh and it came with super yummy garlic bread. I just went to pizza barn at 8:40pm (mind you all signs and online say they close at 11pm) and I walk in to see every table full and the bar open and filled with people as well. I reach the counter to order and they tell me they're already closed. Worst service ever!!!! I called and order food for pick up, they said 25 min it would be ready, I went down there 30min later still no food. They then said just 10more min..... another 20 min go by still no food! Finally after 1hr and 10min I get my food with attitude! To boot the pizza was terrible anyways!! Never again! Where to start. Came here on a Saturday night, lots of people at the bar, all tables are dirty, picked one and cleaned it up after I sat down, I was not familiar with the place and no one came up to me so I came to the register at the end, I asked if they serve by the slice they said no sorry, I looked at one that's sized p for personal Hawaiian I asked how much and she said 7.62 after that she walked away in the middle and it is kinda busy so ok fine, I walk back to my table and wait hopefully I can get service. After waiting forever the lady does not stop by but rushes and asks if I want that p pizza I said yes, the problem with this is I wanted wings and a drink but she just took off. So fine I'll probly get another chance for them to service me correctly, but no, I waited almost 30 minutes for my pizza to arrive, I was very antsy and I was debating if I should just stand up and leave. The pizza is on the counter and the manager lady which I assume she is since she's always on the phone, let's my pizza stand there for a good while, after she notices that I'm staring at my pizza she brings it to me, and the rudest thing that I consider is that she places the receipt on the table and states "this Is your bill" and picks up and slams the pepper on top of it and leaves! This is the worst as I was never asked for a drink or if I wanted anything else. I just ate the whole pizza and wrote this review promptly. The pizza itself is average, and this whole service is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. It's as if 7.62 is something to make a big deal of I never saw anyone else getting the same treatment I received. Sorry I'm not a regular, damn. read more

First impression when I walked in was like an episode of Bar Rescue with john tafford before the renovation. Felt like I was in the 80s or 90s. As for the food, idk if it was an hour before closing but it was so disappointing we didn't finish our order. Got a pepperoni and pineapple pizza and zucchini sticks between my wife and I. Pizza was worse than meh, hardly any sauce, and tasted worse than a dijorno pizza. The zucchini sticks were burnt too lol. Only reason posting this review is because 4 stars is exaggerated and misleading. La Verne has other pizza places far better than pizza barn, don't get fooled. read more
