I really wanted to love Pizza Bruno because the atmosphere and concept are great, but unfortunately we had a disappointing experience during our visit and will not be coming back. We ordered two pizzas, and one of them was supposed to be a white sauce pizza according to the menu. We also substituted the Italian sausage for meatballs due to a religious reason. The first pizza came out fine, but the second pizza took a very long time. After we flagged down our server she came over and explained that the pizza had accidentally been boxed up and sent out as someone else's to-go order, so they had to remake it. After waiting even longer, about 1 hour and 30 minutes, we stopped another server and asked if we could just take the pizza to go. When the pizza finally arrived, it had red sauce instead of white sauce and still had sausage instead of meatballs. We politely explained that the menu showed it as a white sauce pizza, and the response we received was, "Geez, did you guys study the menu before you came in?" We told them we had simply read the menu while sitting at the restaurant. A manager then came over and said, "Guys, it's pizza, it's supposed to have red sauce. All pizzas have red sauce." When we informed her that on the menu it was clearly marked with a green dot for white sauce, she replied back with attitude and said "that means vegan." We then pointed out that many pizzas use white sauce and asked to look at the menu together. The menu clearly showed that the pizza we ordered was marked as a white sauce pizza, while vegan pizzas were marked separately with a leaf symbol. After asking again for the menu, the manager checked and realized the mistake and we overheard, "Ohhh, the kitchen fucked up." To their credit, they removed the pizza from our bill, which we appreciated. Mistakes happen, and we completely understand that. What disappointed us most was the way the issue was initially handled and communicated. We were left completely astonished by the rude comments and lack of respect. Heard a lot of good things about this place from the local foodie community and so I've had this pizza spot on my list to try for months. I did an online order from their website and got the "ninety two" with added extra pepperoni for $6 more. I also had to threw in the garlic knots because the reviews and the establishment itself said it was a must try. After fees and a mandatory gratuity my total came out to $43 after the $5 discount for spending $40 or more so not cheap but maybe it's worth it. I went to pick up the pizza and immediately noticed the size of it resembled a medium pie from a chain like dominos or papa John's but again, I thought to myself the taste had to compensate for the price and the size. The pie had good crust and plentiful of toppings but the taste was just lackluster. I had half the pizza and ultimately was a bit dissatisfied. The garlic knots were great and I love that they provided plenty of garlic butter/oil to pour on it. I do wish the rolls were more soft but otherwise the taste was on point. The takeout section of the shop was obvious when you pull into the parking lot and I didn't had to wait long when I arrived to get my items and leave. I really wanted to like this place more because I've heard many good things but it was just okay even if we weren't taking price into consideration. I'm sure the quality of the ingredients is really good though and I would come back to try a different pie. read more

The desire to eat here was huge. I will admit I'm a picky pizza person (Chicago native) and I knew I wasn't getting Chicago style. Went at 3:30 ish. Not busy, sat quickly, server was polite and quick, but nothing to write home about. She was alone and serving the entire restaurant so like: kudos ma'am! Kudos. We read the reviews we knew we had to get garlic knots, meatballs and the ghost pizza. We did and we have leftovers for tomorrow which I'm very excited for. Food is always good l. We went during lunch and a few tables came at same time so she had a lot to do. My drinks came about 2 garlic knots in but really that was the only hiccup. Had the knots they seemed extra garlicky but that didn't stop us. I had the meatballs and wings tasty and always on point. My bf had the lunch special with salad and the trucker pizza with all the meats. Our friend got the nonnies pizza. With meatballs also good. I know this place has "pizza" in the name, but let me put you onto something else that they have that's absolutely exceptional: the garlic knots. The best garlic knots I've had locally, if not ever! If you like garlic, and would consider it essential, you will love the garlic spread on their knots. As for the pizza, I always get the Roni. The pizza is made fresh in-house, and you can tell the ingredients are high-quality. I always have at least half a pizza to bring home, it's that much food. This restaurant definitely has a cute little hole in the wall kind of vibe. It's dimly lit and cozy; perfect for date night! They also have a really nice porch that you can sit out on that they light with fairy lights at night. The waiters are always attentive and happy to give recommendations. If you like pizza, Bruno really delivers (actually, I don't know if they deliver, but go here). They start with a selection of olives for the table, which is 24K Magic if you ask me. Except when everyone wants some, then fist fights can break out. If you like the smaller "cupped" pepperoni with crispy edges (That's what I like, that's what I like), then this is the place for you. If you prefer the big greasy floppy sandwich pepperoni, then just stop! I don't understand you so that's Just the Way You Are. My appetite isn't what it used to be, so usually a pizza is good enough. It's so much better to eat on-site than taking it home. The Roni was spicy and delicious, and the Big Rig was like a Grenade of flavor going off in your mouth. The ricotta had a sweetness to it which is great if you're not too into spice. It went down smooth and fast like Silk Sonic. Service is great with attentive staff and the atmosphere is pretty casual with a tiny bit of upscale, so I wouldn't put your Versace on the Floor. They really need a pizza named "Uptown Funghi" to round out the Bruno Mars theme (how many references did I make?). You can Count on Me for ideas like that. Been to Curry Ford location twice, about a year apart. Both times they said, "the phone has been out for 3 weeks, it was dropped and broken". WOW! some bomb pizza at this place. nothing to complain about on my end. The "BIG RIG" was so delicious and filled with flavor! I think the soppressata really made it. I probably could've ate a whole one.. It had the right amount of spice and the jalapeños weren't overbearing at all, I don't even know if I tasted them, but I don't care! I thought this one would be spicier than the Roni, but still not disappointed. Roni is where that spice kicked in from the Calabrian chilies, WHEW! I love spicy food, but this was a little kicker. I'm a huge fan of old world pepperoni and the cheese was really good! Pretty dang tasty. Ricotta Riot, you were beautiful, but I didn't try you. (not my type) No complaints from my fellow dine-in buddies though! Our server was great and very friendly, as well as knowledgeable about the menu items. The seating in there is pretty close, which is great if you want to steal somebody else's pizza to try when they aren't looking! Tables come with a cheese shaker, red chili flakes, and Italian seasonings. I will definitely come back and try more. The only thing I can tell impatient people is to not come here if they're starving, because their pizza is fresh (like it should be) and takes time to cook (30ish for us)! I got takeout from here a little while ago. This place consistently places on the best pizza awards, and I haven't been here in like seven years of living in Orlando, so I figured it was time. I picked up my food, drove it home, and dug in. I got an app, and I had to go with a classic, the Meatballs + Lemon Ricotta (Nona's Recipe - Beef & Veal with Fresh Parsley & Garlic). These were so nice. There's very little filler in these balls. Just meat and a nice, acidic tang from the ricotta. Very satisfying. For my pizza, I got the The 5-0 (Fresh Mozzarella, Cheddar, Speck Roasted Pineapple Sauce Swirl, Jalapefios, Cilantro, Grana Padano). This was fun! There's only one size of pie here, so if you're really hungry, order two. But year, the toppings were very nicely balanced, and there were just the right amount of each of them. The crust was sprinkled with some shredded cheese all the way around. A note, this place places on the category that's specifically gourmet pizza, I believe. So like, elevated pizza. And it works. Comparing this place to Lazy Moon would be very tough. Apples and oranges. I'm glad they're each in their own category, and I can see why this one is always on those lists. Good show guys. I finished up with a Cannoli. I ordered a flavored cannoli, but they gave me a plain one. Oops. Either way, you could tell that that it was freshly fried and stuffed to the brim with the filling.
