Pizza d' action is one of my favorite places to eat pizza. I remember the pizza that heaped with sausage and mushrooms that looks like the pyramid's of Egypt. This is a classic place in Little Rock for eating pizza where the name recognition goes back to the 1980's. read more

Four attempts for this spot & zero decent experiences with the staff. Returned most recently last night after White Water Tavern had their last call since some friends appreciate that Pizza D's serves food late in addition to a bar vibe with darts & pool tables. So we headed over. Good ambiance is completely upended by consistently awful service at this place. The contrast in hospitality from White Water was enough to induce whiplash. And the short female bartender especially is always loudly rude, every single time. Food takes forever to get out & they are often understaffed. The one time I thoroughly enjoyed myself here, I simply played pool & interacted with friends & some locals. Avoided going to the bar directly. Consider changing some of your personnel. As it stands currently, this really is a waste of a good space. read more

I walked in with a party of three. No one greeted us, or told us what the next steps were in order to place an order. I placed my order first, and the people who accompanied me placed their order immediately afterwards. We sat down and two of us were served. An hour later one member of our party still hadn't received their food. When I approached the man at the counter, who had taken our orders, he was nonchalant and defensive. He replied "I am aware." When I alerted him to the fact that we were nearing the end of our meals, while the final member of our party had not even received their food. He offered the excuse that the kitchen had a lot of orders. We watched people who came in after us receive their food while our party member had not. Eventually, the chef came out to deliver the food. At this point, the man at the counter rushed up to gaslight us about the reason why we had finished our meal while one member of our party was just receiving theirs. He told us that there were people who had ordered in between the first two members of our party and the final member. This was a patent lie, and we could not understand why the man was rewriting history in this way. why was the immediate response to being alerted about a delayed order to be defensive? Why was the response when finally, receiving the food to rush over and try to make us believe that there were people there who never existed? This was a horrendous experience! read more

1) it's a dive bar. They're loud and proud about it, so don't expect anything pretentious- you won't get it. 2) dive bars mean smoking 3) a LOT of the clientele is service industry. To me, as service industry, that says a lot. We work in high-end restaurants/bars. We choose to come spend money here. 4) the above being said, it is still my favorite place, ever. The drink prices are right, the food is amazing (if you're skipping brunch, you're missing the finer points in life), and it's always a good time. There are no strangers here. read more

Hmm, well, ok! Came in to try the Brunch, and right off the bat, I have to ding two stars. One, because smoking is allowed inside - and, yeah, I'll be a snob about that - and two, because it's the beat-up kind of dive rather than the well-loved kind of dive. But! On the positive side, our food was delicious (if very salty), prices were great, portions were more than generous, and our service was great! I had the biscuits and gravy, and while it doesn't break the mold, it's darn good. What most impressed me though was the country ham. That sucker may as well have been half a pig, bone-in and all. $3 Bloody Marys were also a hit! All in all, while not perfect, it was definitely a positive experience, I left stuffed and smiling. read more

I started with the fried mushrooms and was not impressed. They tasted okay but for almost 10 bucks I expected more than 11 mushrooms. I ate a double cheeseburger and fries, that was delicious. I asked for my cheeseburger to be cooked medium and it was. I'll try the wings next time. read more

I was so excited for the relaunch like many other locals, but it was tainted by misogyny. I witnessed the manager verbally abuse the bartender during a busy shift. Later, other similar events have been reported by ex/employees and patrons. Nothing has been done to correct the situation. The toxic manager has been left unchecked and I will no longer be supporting this establishment. I hope the other neighbors of Stifft Station will stand up to these types of practices and not let this type of aggressive behavior be rewarded in our city. read more

All these people giving Pizza D a bad review are not being objective. If you don't like cigarette smoke or smell then don't go. Pizza D has been a smoking bar since forever. If you expected something else, that is your problem. Now, onto the actual review. What I love most about Pizza D is the people. Everyone is themselves and all patrons are free to be themselves as long as they are not total d-bags. Secondly, they have the best craft beer selection I have found in Little Rock so far. Thirdly, the food has never disappointed. Everything from salad to biscuits and gravy to the greek pizza has been divine and never disappoints. So if you can get your head out of your own ahole and expect a whole lot of personality in the place and want a cold brew and some tasty eats and good company then this is where you want to be. read more

After two initial return visits to Pizza D'Action since the new ownership and leadership, it is clear that this is one of the most dynamic 180° changes I've ever seen. A lot of blood, sweat, and equity was poured into the remodel and refresh. I dare say world-renown bar business makeover expert, Jon Taffer, couldn't have done a better job. If you've been here before, you absolutely must come see this refresh. It is still ol' Pizza D's, but it's now the kind of experience you wish it could have been in the old days! All of the old charm, but none of the bullshit. From the front of the house to the back, this refresh is perfection. The kitchen is immaculate, crystal clean, and the food all tastes amazing. The ingredients in their pizzas are some of the best I've tasted South of Manhattan. The fry oil is clean, the menu is enhanced, and the prices are remarkably low given the high quality fare. Note to pizza snobs: Try their Italian sausage. There is none better in Central Arkansas. Also that new-age non-binary sauce is a culinary masterpiece. This place is now a charming and welcoming anchor to a vibrant and diverse neighborhood. Friendly staff, professionally trained bartenders, and plenty of bright, big, new screens to enjoy your favorite show or sporting event as well. The expansive game room has classic arcade games, shuffleboard, an awesome pool table, and more. Get this... There is even outdoor seating now. The bathrooms have been reworked. One can tell that the management and owners are focused on the business of success, which is clearly rooted in exceptional customer service delivery. This place is an example to every independent bar and restaurant owner: You can run a successful business, grow your client base, and still stay eclectic. Pizza D is like your favorite old t shirt. It's disgusting and smells funny and the print is faded, but yet, you wear it with heartfelt devotion. Its stench and grime may deter the average bar hopper, what with the sometimes frightening bouncers and .....well....a multitude of interesting "characters." Nevertheless, I come back time and time again to feel its well-worn comfort against my cheek, and will gladly plop my butt into the sticky vinyl booth grasping a G&T in what looks like an elementary school cafeteria cup while rocking out to Rage Against the Machine (again). But ladies, please remember to hover. PS-I've never actually eaten the food, but a friend told me they have the best wings in town, maybe even the state. read more

My friend might well kill me for giving "The Dirty D" less than five stars but I gotta shoot ya straight. Stinkytown aka Pizza D is this weird combination of pizza joint and dive bar. Sometimes that just works. Not so much here. Even though we were 43 sheets to the wind, that pizza was compressed and cardboard-y. Don't get me wrong -- we scarfed the whole thing down. They are only $12 and I'm pretty sure it's the best $12 I've ever spent. Sometimes you just need starch and cheese to curb the cravings. There was a dude playing guitar who I apparently tried to sing with and lots of grimy hipsters looking shifty like they do. If you're coming to little rock, it's a true spot to find regulars but there's always a fine line between regulars and straight up townies. read more

The beer can sometimes be a bit stale tasting. I have no idea how often they clean lines or maintain anything in general. The bathrooms are filthy. It smells like a big cigarette inside. But it's also really fun. It's a dark and dirty bar that is exactly want you want from, uhh, a dark and dirty bar. The crowd is diverse. Went ahead and posted the four stars in this one. Total dive but in my case it's just what we were after. After a long day at the skate park cold beer and hit wings are just what the doc ordered. The hot wings had a good amount of heat and an after taste of sweet. Mix that with a cold beer and it's tough to beat. Maybe next time I will test the waters with the pizza, but this time we wings fit the bill. read more

I don't go out to bars much, but Pizza D's not bad. The food is pretty good, but sometimes takes WAY too long to make. The beer is cheaper than any place in the River Market, so that's a plus. It's dark, which I also like. The crowd IS quite diverse. It's smelly and dirty, but not as scary as Midtown. read more

Be warned: this place STINKS. But go anyway. Just check your clothes for a dry clean only tag. Better yet, just put on some dirty clothes from the hamper. You'll take the smell with you when you leave and the bathrooms leave much to be desired, but on a Sunday when you still have makeup on from the night before and you're craving (or just needing) a bloody mary, it's really the only place to go. Although the food is good... we really come here for the service. All of the employees are really nice. They genuinely care and try to do a good job. They have very competitive prices and specials everyday. Delightful place. I took an old friend here that had not been in the place since the 70's, and he was amazed that it looked just the same. It seems dirty, it smells, it has delicious cheap food. Try a burger- I know it's a pizza joint- and the appetizers. And the service is always great, a good thing since the kitchen seems to take a while. Even the menu is untouched after 40 years. The only downside- they stopped serving draft beer a while back. read more

I agree it is a dive bar but I think the atmosphere is great the drinks are great and some of the best food in town definitely worth it.

Ice cold boulevard wheat in frosty mugs. Strong drinks. Dirty and grimy with holes in the floor. Its one of the last places left in America where you can smoke inside.
