I really didn't understand the hype. Went in about an hour before closing time, the staff were not welcoming or friendly. My child opened the door and I did not see that the inside was closed to dining, the staff didn't have to be so rude to let us know dining was closed. We ordered our pizza and took it home. The pizza was ok at best, half the pizza was thick and the other half was thin. Won't be rushing back... read more

I'm diggin' it! Under new management/ownership and I think the regulars won't be disappointed, while newbies like us will be ecstatic! The epitome of a mom and pop joint! This is the type of place I enjoy spending my hard earned money at. You can see the hard work and pride taken by the new owner. The decor is, dare I say, rustic? True old school pizza parlor style, so it might provide a nostalgic vibe for you. All they're really missing is pitchers of beers. Maybe that will be something to look forward to on a future trip. Speaking of future trips, they'll get ours! read more

This is possibly the best pizza in Albuquerque as far as thin crust goes. The crust is amazing, it actually has flavor and a good chew. They are not stingy with the toppings and the toppings are fresh. read more

Pizza Castle is one of the most underrated pizza spots in Albuquerque. It's tucked away in a shopping center so it's easy to miss but once you find it, it will be one of your favorite places for pizza. My favorite part is the MASSIVE slices of pizza you get. I've never ordered a full pie but I can just imagine how huge they are. The inside is definitely old and beat up, probably hasn't been updated since they opened but if that scares you, just get it delivered! read more

Small shop with high quality pies. Dough is a great texture with out over seasoning or that greasy feeling left on your fingers. Though the store itself is a bit dated- it is not uncomfortable. I took my pie home and with a5 minute drive sitting on cold leather in a cold truck it was still hot when I arrived home. Cheese and other toppings were very tasty and pie wad perfectly cooked. read more

Good local pizza joint when your looking for a reasonably priced pie on the East side of town. I love locally owned and operated businesses. You can tell they staff teens to work the kitchen and counter (WHICH IS GREAT BTW). I ordered for carry out but I got a glimpse of the dining in area. It's outdated but in a east coast greasy spoon pizza joint kinda way. They even had the old Pacman sit-down game. Flashbacks are great. The pizza was good. Not in a franchisy kinda way, but in a this is pretty good pizza kinda way. The price was reasonable and the staff was very friendly. They informed me that they have just begun delivery and I can order delivery next time I want a pie. Might just do that in the future. read more

They sell slices of delicious pizza for super reasonable price!! This was our first visit, and I had heard from a coworker that it was pretty good stuff. We ordered two slices of good old pepperoni. The pizza has a super yummy (and thick) crust, which is the finale of a great slice. They also had impractical jokers on the tv so that was pretty good way to enjoy my pizza :) read more

If you were driving down Eubank, you'd probably miss Pizza Castle. Don't. Put the car in reverse and head inside. The Castle is probably the most underrated pizza joint in town. Custom-made slices of pizza that are huge and at least Chicago worthy recognition, for the cost. Never had a problem ordering the 18" jumbo pizzas to bring to a potluck or party. With another lockdown in place we decided to support a local business we hadn't tried before and Pizza Castle did not disappoint! We ordered a large pizza and wings. Best pizza in New Mexico been a hidden gem for more than 33 years. Still love this place even though the owner changes and the jump across the street. This place was SSOOOOO good!! We have driven by this little hole in the wall for years thinking it was just take out ... stop, go in, there is plenty of seating! We ordered their "special" with the works. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. The pizza was spectacular! Brought right from the oven to our table the crust was crisp with a little chew, it couldn't have been better. The toppings were great my ONLY complaint was the canned mushrooms instead of fresh. The decor could use some updating but you barely notice cause the pizza it so great. Next time we are in town we will be visiting this restaurant! read more

My husband and I got stuck in Albuquerque overnight when our truck gave out. We are on a cross country move from california to georgia. Once we got settled in our hotel for the night, we decided to order a pizza and regroup. Little did we know, that our hotel was in a neighborhood that was considered shady by the locals. When our pizza arrived, the delivery driver was shaking like a leaf! Not only did he fear kind travelers, he held our pizza sideways tucked under his arm the whole time! When we opened the box, it as like a folded accordion in there! I have never seen such incompetent behavior from a pizza guy in all my life. Scared of the neighborhood? Don't deliver. But NEVER, EVER HOLD A PIZZA SIDEWAYS!!! Thank god we are only passing through.. what I was able to scrape off the box tasted ok.. but that was $40 we could have had kept for a destroyed dinner. read more

We were visiting from out of town and decided to pop in. It was very clean and the food smelled delicious. My son is an extremely picky eater especially when it comes to pizza but he loved it and the pizza slices are HUGE! We got an order of 4 cheese bread slices which doesn't sound like much but they're big and was the right size for the 4 of us. I talked to a lady who was super nice and then she told my kids that there was an extra credit on the pinball machine, maybe they would want use it? Made their day. Then we got tiramisu and that made MY day. Thanks to good food and kind employees, my heart felt happy as we left. read more

Only reason for 3 stars is the pizza was ok. Their sub I got Sucked to put it nicely. Hardly any meat on the sub ( even subway gives more meat). None of the stuff I ordered for the sub had it on it. No tomatoes, no onions, no oil & vinegar and no pepper. Diffently won't order again from them. read more

I ordered an 18" pepperoni but when I went to pick it up, they realized they accidentally gave my pizza to another customer leaving their pizza for me. They caught it and asked if I'd want it or make a new one fresh. They also offered something extra and I just asked for extra cheese and we'll call it even. The pizza was fantastic. Any place can make a mistake, the employees were very apologetic and made sure I was happy. Great pizza and great customer service. I'd definitely get again next time I'm in Albuquerque. read more

Pizza castle moved across the street and forgot to bring their cooking and customer service skills. We had to wait 45min for 3 slices of pizza, with no heads up that we would have to wait that long and no acknowledgement of the wait or as much as an I'm sorry for that ridiculously epic wait time. With customer service that poor pizza castle is in serious jeopardy of failure. read more

Over the years I keep going back, about once a year: I've had their sandwiches, their pastries, their pies . . . all kinda "meh" and all priced pretty reasonably but not inexpensively. Sandwiches give you a lot of everything . . . except flavor. Pastries are . . . fine. Pies are . . . fine, and kinda small (and not inexpensive, maybe reaching towards pricey); it's the kinda thing you are willing to pay for in order to bring it to a gathering, only to find almost no one bothers to eat it. And so you don't bother. The cookies are pretty good, actually. (And, yes, I know Italian delis - my Italian grandparents brought me to them in New York when I was a child. However, I'm not judging Tully's against these (as in "it's not as good as Back East"), I'm just saying it never really turns my crank.) Today I had a hot chicken, cheese,onion and pepper sandwich, the Carmela. It was a lot of food. But . . . not a lot of flavor. A whole lot of drippy mess in the bottom of my basket, though: water absolutely sopped through the (completely unmemorable tasting) bread loaf and pooled at the bottom of my basket as I ate in. The potato salad served alongside was fine - like what you'd get at Albertson's. The chicken was tender and . . . essentially without flavor, not even salt. There had clearly been a little marinade (I could sense some oregano and maybe garlic in there) but man could this thing have used about five times as much seasoning and then a healthy dose of a vinegar/garlic/oregano dressing on top of it. Bland. Lots of food in that $17 (almost $25 with tip) sandwich, but not a lot of enjoyment. I've had other Tully's sandwiches (both for here and to-go) that were better, but I can't really recall any of them . . . and I _never_ rush back. Like I said, this is a place I think about ("Hey, I'm right nearby; I should try Tully's again!") about once a year . . . and then, meh. To be fair - I believe that I am pretty out in left field on this take: Tully's is popular and always hopping. Get here early unless you want to stand in line. I only had to wait about three minutes to order, but by the time I left at noon this Friday there was a line to order all the way from the counter to the door. In terms of the room, it's a deli. Reasonably well set out with a decent amount of seating set out well, as well as some outside seating that you might want to try when it's not in the nineties. You order at the counter, pay, go get your own fountain drink (they also have some beer and wine, which they will serve you), find a seat and they'll bring it to you. When you're done, you bus it yourself. Pleasant staff - I don't regret tipping, although they don't do much. (As others have mentioned, if you get a cup of water, Tully's generously gives you a decent sized Solo cup - another plus.) It's fine. If you go, at least get yourself some cookies - they're pretty good.

I hope management takes this seriously because presentation and hygiene matter just as much as taste. Until then, I wouldn't feel comfortable coming back.
