You have not had excellent , fresh pizza until you have had Papa Saverio's!!!!This gem of a pizza parlor is located in a convenient little mini mart and it is an absolute hidden gem!!! The staff provides excellent and timely customer service and always makes certain that your food is piping hot and fresh wether or not you eat in house or take it to go! Actually the pizza got better as I ate it. I prefer my pepperoni a little more well done, but the cheese was perfect so it's a give and take. Ordered some fries, they more resemble Red Robin steak fries than the pics online. Good not great. 14" Thin Crust 1/2 pepperoni- 7/10 Fries- 5/10 Drink- 5/10 (ordered a 20oz Dew, got a 16oz Pepsi, all he had). I really like their slices for lunch so I decided to order a pizza for dinner. Pepperoni and jalapeños well done . I got the pizza and it was hardly cut and the cheese was all over the place. Wow, when you think pizza is bad , Papa Saverio's just made the worse pizza I have had in years. First of all, we ordered the pizza through yelp at 5:35 pm. Normally, they are really fast with delivery but for some reason, they were really behind and they did not deliver the pizza until 7:15pm. I get that pizza places get behind and overwhelmed with order, but the quality of the pizza delivered was terrible. The pizza was cold, the bottom portion of the crust, was separating from the top portion, the toppings tasted weird, and the garlic was undercooked. Normally, our family of 4 would have finished an 18 inch pizza pretty fast, but the pizza tasted so bad, that we left 1/4 of the pizza uneaten. This is a major fail on the part of Papa Saverio's. I wish there was a great pizza place in my area that delivers because I am done with Papa Saverio's! read more

Have you ever had a taste for a good pizza? Looked forward to it, even ordered it for pick up, on your way home? Yep, that's how this misadventure began. We arrived on time, only to find the pizza was made incorrectly. They really wanted us to take the wrong pizza and even offered a discount. Even with a discount, the toppings weren't what we wanted, so we declined. They offered to make us a new pizza, that would take an additional 15-20 minutes. That was would be at full price, my wife reminded them of the inconvenience, so 1/2 price was agreed on. We found it interesting that they didn't step up on their own without prompting on our part! We waited, both hungry and with anticipation. We now had to find a way to pass the time while our replacement pizza was being made. Next door is a salon with a sign in the window that offers (I am not making this up) "Brazilian Blowouts". Now, please forgive me, but the only Brazilian I am familiar with has to do with a private part of the female anatomy. What that has to do with a "Blowout" either has me very confused as exactly what the service is, or is very painful, as I know what can happen when one has a blowout with a tire. When I made this inquiry to my lovely wife, she didn't answer....simply shaking her head and walked away. We continued to pass time by walking in the strip mall looking at many closed stores. We returned to Papa Saverio's to pick up our piping hot pizza. Driving home the aroma of a fresh pizza filled the car, we couldn't wait! Imagine our disappointment to find our "crispy" crust pizza to be rather limp and undercooked. Not only was it undercooked, it seemed to have half of the regular amount the toppings (sausage, green pepper, and onions). We now had to bake/cook the replacement pizza. When I looked them up on Yelp, I was very resistant to actually eat what they had delivered, but since I was about to eat off my arm and too lazy to cook anything, I took the risk. To my surprise it wasn't bad. It was actually enjoyable. The pizza, yes, was very greasy, but no more greasy than rosatis. This pizza establishment is very good. I really like their $5 deal where you get a large slice of pizza with a drink. It is perfect if you need a quick bite to eat. They do delivery as well and the pizza overall is excellent. I really recommend it and you should try it to help support small local businesses. You'll be pressed to find a better pizza by-the-slice around. Big, delicious slices and although their selection of beverages is limited, a great deal for a drink and giant slice. They also offer some pretty good lunch items, but nothing extravagant, pretty standard pizzeria appetizers and such. Prices are a little steep, but they'll offer discounts and try to be accommodating, which in this pandemic is much appreciated. It seems like theres a younger staff and they're a bit clumsy, but very helpful and friendly. I would like to start by saying the food in this restaurant is very good, and the delivery people are polite and courteous for the most part. Saying that I and my family will never eat or order from here ever again. The management specifically the owner (who answers the phone most of the time) feels it is acceptable to talk to my wife in very unacceptable manners. We ordered a pizza that came obviously dropped at some point before we got it, and after waiting for 90 Min (on a Sunday) called to complain. The Owner talking to my wife said he was too busy to deal with her right now and when he got around to it would send out another. Waiting another 30 min he called back and talked to me told me he was too busy to talk nice after all he was sending us out another pizza and what did we expect. It is this kind of attitude that has plagued this establishment since this owner has taken over. read more

Normally I try not to post anything bad however I will never go back to Papa Saverio's McHenry ordered from them at 5:50 it was supposed to be 45 minutes and I just called about five minutes ago (700) and they said my order had been delivered I don't know where they delivered but we don't seem to know where. The manager was concerned with finding where it was delivered and said how can I make this better for you. Not a good question. It should have been we will replace order and get it to you right away but he had to ask how to make it better. I told him to cancel refund everything including tip. He said ok. This is our new "go to" place for pizza in the area. It has taken over another pizza place that I've always liked the most! For whatever reason, the pizza here tastes better then any other place, when it comes to thin crust pizza! The new owner is trying and it's working! Being close to home, is another big advantage for us as well! the staff is nice and friendly and care and appreciate the business! I urge you to give this place a try; if you like the pizza nearby ( which used to our top favorite, I believe you won't be disappointed! One thing, I ordered their chicken strips(boneless, of course) and they didn't taste good at all. Its some kind of processed pressed meat and soy blend and didn't taste good! It was a random, very warm day in April, and were shocked at how steamy it was inside. At least 90 degrees! The woman that was at the counter was very nice and we went on our merry way. Use a coupon, and for the price that you pay, you get a TON for your money. The seasoning is wonderful and the cheese is gooey and great. I've only had the thin crust and hope to get another kind. The sauce is somewhat sweet - which I like, but we ordered light sauce on the second order, since hubby didn't dig the sweetness. Our second order was this weekend for a party. The same woman was there, and let me use two coupons for one order, which was fantastic and saved me a lot of money. I had to wait a few minutes this time, and was shocked at how sweltering the place still was! They need to open a door and get some air in the place. Regardless, the pizza was fantastic and I can't wait to try more variations. Side note: I can't help but state how surprised I was at some of the comments I heard while waiting for my pizza. The phone was ringing off the hook and with only one person to answer them, she was doing her best. However, I was shocked at how negative she was (talking to another employee) with a customer waiting inside. We decided to give Papa Saverios a try tonight and ordered a 16" pepperoni, green pepper and mushroom along with 12 BBQ wings and 12 hot wings for $60. We got the pizza fairly fast. Unfortunately, the pizza was EXTREMELY soggy. I know when you order veggies on pizza it can sometimes become soggy. However I have ordered veggie pizzas before and they were NOTHING like this soggy pizza. This pizza was so soggy that you had to fold the piece to eat it. The first piece I grabbed everything fell off. The wings weren't bad, a little soggy but overall a 6 out of 10. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager. When the manager answered she said "Hello" I asked who I was speaking with and she answered Laura. I asked Laura if she was a manager and she replied yes. I went on to explain our disappointment with the food and she explained the problem with the pizza being soggy was due to the veggies. I explained that we order veggie pizzas all the time from another pizza location close to them and it's never soggy. Laura said she would be happy to give us a credit for next time. I said that would be fine, we will give them another shot with the credit. Laura explained that she would put a $10 credit under our name. Ordered take out through Grubhub on A Friday. Order said it would take 35-40 minutes. Sent friend to pick it up and when they arrived Papa Saverio's said they don't have the order....what?!? My friend called and I said it was placed 35 minutes ago. After a few minutes they called back and said they have a fax machine in the back that gets the orders and they don't check it often. Are you kidding. So they said they would make our order and be ready in 25 MORE minutes. Waited 25, then 30, then 35 and then 40 and finally they got our order ready after now over 80 minutes when it should have taken 35. When my friend asked of any remedy to the situation they said we already got $5 off with the Grubhub promo and that they wouldn't do anything, on an order of $50. This place is ridiculous. Avoid! Will NEVER be back. Owners should be ashamed and the manger also. read more

Don't know what happened to this place, used to be one of the best pizza joints on this side of town. Could always count on a hot slice on the weekends and a good pizza ready to pick up in 30 minutes. Not any more, no slices after 6:00 PM according to the old dude behind the counter, but I've been in at other times and the rack was empty then as well. If I wanted to order I was told it would be an hour. I will never go to this place again, and that's a crying shame! read more

It's very important to understand there is a new owner Josh. He is sincere and passionate about his customers. The quality of the food is as delicious as anyone might expect. The bad reviews you might see are not the doing of Josh. Ignore reviews any older than a month or two from this posting. We have two pizza places serving this area of Aurora.
