This last time I even wrote a note saying "please include the ranch because the last times I haven't received it" and I still didn't get it. Called for pizza and a salad to be delivered. The order taker said it would be anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. I called back asking for a status of my order at an hour and twenty minutes. She said I think he has left so it should be there soon. Apparently soon means 27 minutes later. The driver said sorry. I said I hope the pizza isn't cold. He said it isn't my fault, they ran out of lettuce and had to go to the store. As it turned out the salad was warmer then the pizza which was stone cold. 08/06/21 After reading all the bad reviews posted in 2019 and 2020 they must have upped their game because this pizza was really good! This is our first time trying the pizza. In fact, It was fantastic!!! The sausage, mushroom, pepperoni were all very tasty as was the sauce and cheese and interestingly, sesame seed crust. We reheated the leftovers in our toaster oven for breakfast the next morning and it was even better because the crust was crispier, which we prefer. Also, since we had it delivered we have no way of knowing whether the restaurant's health standards and cleanliness are up to par. But according to a review posted on 5/22/2020 it's pretty bad. So,....I hope that review is not the current standing of this restaurant. I suggest to the owners that they pay attention to what is written. We are all for supporting small businesses and it would be sad if these people are not abiding by the rules, especially when it comes to healthy clean environment. We did love the Pizza! I've lived in Paso Robles for 30 years. Pizza Express has been in business at the location right down the street from my house for 27 of those years. Tonight I ordered my first pizza from them. I bought a large "take-out" combination. I learned two things. One, Pizza Express makes one heck of a great pizza. Two, I've been an idiot for not having gone there sooner! I made my first order a take-out so I could get a look at the place and it's employees. The store is small, narrow and has just a few 4-top tables. The place seemed clean and orderly. The owner, Hitham, was very pleasant and courteous. He told me that once I tried one of his pizza's, I'd be back again and again. I do believe he is right. My pizza was excellent! The quality of their pizza is a solid 3 out of 5. I'd be willing to raise it to 4 if I got a little bit more toppings, but we'll get to that later. I like the pizza here. The crust is crunchy, the portions vary from smaller pieces to much larger and the establishment has a very family-run vibe about it. They have a really fantastic tomato sauce. It's not overpowering or too sweet. It's just the perfect pizza sauce. I had a coupon for a $19.99 + sales tax 1 large pizza with 2 toppings, 1 2-liter soda and my choice between hot wings or breadsticks. I ordered a 1 large pizza with pepperoni and sausage. Now what makes the quality of this pizza a 3 out of 5 for myself is that there was barely any sausage on my pizza. The pepperoni was fantastic and the sausage was perfectly seasoned, but there just wasn't alot. Had there been more, I'd give this place a higher rating. I also opted for breadsticks instead of hot wings which came with a marinara sauce. The marinara sauce was great. It added flavor to an otherwise flavorless breadstick. Rolling a warm breadstick in parmesan and waiting for it to cool down does not make a quality breadstick. They need to tinker around a bit more with that recipe for it to be a true knock out. The quality of service was great. I was helped by a young man who was friendly, speedy, and kind. It made the experience a pleasant one and I look forward to coming back. The interior of the restaurant needs a bit of sprucing up as it is fulfilling the hole in the wall restaurant legacy, but I get this feeling this place is all delivery/pick-up and that's totally cool with me. read more

My husband and I tried Pizza Express for the first time today and we were extremely satisfied. We normally order pizza from Domino's, but I think it's safe to say we're done with them because this pizza was absolutely delicious. We ordered the "Family Feast" coupon that was in a flyer we received in the mail. Our order was delivered promptly and by a very friendly and approachable guy. We had a brief but pleasant conversation. My only complaint is that I ordered wings and they were not saucy at all, but some places just don't make them saucy. I've never been to the storefront, just moved to Paso Robles from a place that has no delivery pizza (Boulder Creek), now I live a couple miles from them and just tried them out last week for delivery, all I can say is wow! Maybe I've been pizza deprived for awhile, being in Jackson Hole Wyoming or 15 years before BC could do that to you, but this pizza is great in my opinion. Not just good, really great. Very good quality ingredients. Always fresh. I was working on a house a ways out of town and they still delivered and the pizza, it was still hot. There is a $20 min delivery order or they charge a fee. But the have been lenient on that. Be sure to ask for Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if you are getting delivery they don't carry it with them. read more
