    Might Cap Mushroom
    Elena S.

The food & service were both an interesting experience. Usually having pasta to go isn't my ideal meal but driving for 4 hours for a get away weekend, we had to stop. I noticed that the restaurant closed at 4. And we got there to order our food to go at 3:10. I wasn't going to be that person who sat down and made the servers wait for us to leave. We go upfront, and there was an older woman who was on the phone taking an order, looked at us and continued with the phone call. She sounded like she may had been struggling with getting the order placed and figuring out the systems. We waited, no problem. Then I believe one of the other hostess or possibly the bartender came to take our order, had great recommendations, took my info and told us 10-15. Perfect. We then come back, and now the lady who was on the phone, messed up someone's order and didn't give him his change back and was struggling again. Then asked us "what we are here for" and "is this for catering or what". We said we placed the order in the restaurant, and told her my name. She then can't understand who took our order and how they placed it and it would've been nice to know that we didn't call but that we had placed in person.... Again... she looked at us before. As she gives us our bag of food, she blaming us for not telling her we placed the order in person. I would've liked to go back the next day because the food was good but I seriously didn't have the patience to deal with her attitude. The other servers were sweet. Besides her, the food was absolutely delicious. I would HIGHLY recommend the Mighty Cap Mushroom pasta. It was very creamy & had the right amount of mushrooms. My sister tried the Cacio de Pepe and it was very delicious and if you like pepper, that's your pasta! We also tried the eggplant parm and the portion was small but worth it for getting to try it. It was very tasty! Last taste was the beef bolognese. Sooo goood. The food spoke for itself. Delicious.

Really delicious and fresh food. Our table of 3 shared a couple of pastas and a salad at lunch time. It was quite busy, but there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and then find a seat. The only complaint is that the food took a long time to come out and wasn't super hot. The restaurant has a shop next door if you want to buy ingredients to make their pasta at home. Tin City (where the restaurant is located) is very fun to walk around in with lots of dining and drinking options.

Beef lasagna, don't overlook this one

This was our second time here. We had a great time, first time around. This time, we had a good time. We were greeted by a non-smiling hostess, who in my opinion, rudely seated us. We were party of three. We decided to split two main dishes among the three of us. Once again, we ordered the meat lasagna, and this time ordered a 2 quart cioppino. The lasagna was super good. The cioppino had a very good portion of seafood, and the sauce which we are used to being kind of soupy, was much thicker like a marinara sauce. That said, the food was good. Thomas, our server took good care of us. Will we come back here? Absolutely. I hope to have a better experience next time though.

Stopped in right before they closed on a Wednesday around 3pm!! My oh my, it was SOOOO delicious!! Had the lasagna with a glass of red. 10/10! It melted in your mouth! You order at the front then take a seat and they bring it to you. I really liked that! Food was quick, fast and delicious! We sat on the outdoor patio. It was a vibe!! Beautiful little waterfall outside. Would love to come back!

While in Tin City I decided to grab some food before drinking! Always good to have something in your belly before drinking! I first popped into their Italian market next door and then decided to go next door to the restaurant. The restaurant is very causal where you order at the counter and then they bring the food to the table. The menu consider of soup, salads, pasta and more. I decided to grab some pasta: was hard to make a choice but employee helped me decide on Cacip e Pepe: which literally translate to cheese pepper. A Roman dish. Known for its cream and its three ingredients! That's right this just have three ingredients! Even knowing this dis has so little ingredients, restaurants find it hard to make. My dish here was ok but not true to its Roman roots. Plus the serving size was a bit small for 20 dollars. Restaurant offers both inside and outside seating. Patio seating faces a parking lot so not the best view. I think there is a back patio too which may be better.

We love the sandwiches from Etto pasta and we stopped in to get a couple to take up on an adventure trip we were taking to the Hacienda at Fort Hunter Liggett. They were out of my favorite the muffaletta, but we got the Tin City which is a little more meaty and is my husband's favorite. They are very portable and come with delicious home made potato chips. We also decided to dine in while we were there, because we had read that there are no evening food options at Fort Hunter Liggett. At this restaurant, you order ahead and pay ahead and tip ahead and then get a number to take to your table. Tin City is a tourist attraction with lots and lots of vineyard tasting rooms, so do be prepared for a crowd. We were there on a very rainy Tuesday and even then we had to park in the back. I chose a glass of Soave because they didn't have Sauvignon Blanc. I was delightfully surprised because Soave is very very smooth wine and it had a nice delicate flavor. The food came out fairly quickly and my linguine con Vongola looked beautiful. I felt like the squid pasta was a little bit too al dente and also that the broth was a little bit watery. The clams were good for regular clams, but I have to say Manila clams are still my very favorite and much sweeter and more delicate. I did ask for bread, since I had seen bread in a picture and if I had known there was no bread, with the clams, I would've ordered an order of bread because the whole point of having linguine and clams is sopping up the delicious sauce on your bread. The waiter kindly brought out little slices of baquette, which I used to mop of the sauce! My husband's dish was very hearty, like a regular pasta. I didn't find too much beef in it and I felt like the pasta sauce could've been cooked a little longer. The radiatore pasta was delicious, but also a little bit too al dente for my taste. All in all, it was a good meal and enjoyed fortifying our ourselves for the wild and wet weather outside and the trip to come.

Lunchtime ordered at the entrance. Lasagna is great, almost like a hearty soup, very saucy. The sandwiches on display at cash register are delicious and will be served warm on request, they come with house made potato chips, yum yum yum! Enjoyed a glass of Vermentino wine with lunch, really good wine. The desserts were delicious & we highly recommend trying the chocolate torte, it was scrumptious!

Etto Pasta Bar is located in the Tin City complex in south Paso Robles. The restaurant offers a variety of sandwiches, salads and of course different offerings of their highly regarded pasta which is produced by them in Paso Robles. We found our bites here quite enjoyable, but disliked the fact that one must order at the entrance counter, and the food is brought to your table. To us, this lowered the tier of the restaurant's concept. One pays at the time of ordering, which includes a prompt for a twenty- or twenty-five percent for an auto tip. It is annoying to be asked to tip in advance when one has not experienced services nor tasted the food. Service was quite lacking the day we visited. I recognize that when a large group of approximately 10 people arrived after we had ordered can disrupt continuity and quality of service. Other than being offered water upon being seated, the service was quite lacking the day we visited. Two servers went to the back room with the group, while a server stayed in the main room, walking around like he was "busy doing nothing". Other patrons received little attention as well. Although the food was served within fifteen minutes after ordering, the portion size was a bit small but the flavors were outstanding. The noise level at Etto was a bit high, but there is a covered outdoor patio for those that prefer to dine al fresco. Overall, Value: 3.5/5.0 Atmosphere: 4.5 Service: 2.5 Food: 4.75 Thus, 3.8 rounded to 4 stars.

Etto Pasta Bar is a casual restaurant in Paso Robles serving classic Italian fare using local ingredients to the Central Coast. There is a small parking lot out front but also street parking around the exterior of the Tin City complex. You order at the counter and grab a number. Then you find a table and they'll bring your food to you. The etto bread ($12) was crunchy but I thought it could've used more garlic. The polpette ($16) was flavorful and I liked biting through its firm texture and eating it with the bread. The mighty cap mushroom pasta ($23) was creamy and the added guanciale ($4) added more flavor. The 12 layer lasagna ($23) was really soft with the fresh lasagna noodles and the portions were very generous. All of their noodles are freshly made and delicious. We got there minutes before they opened and there were already people lining up to go in. It got a lot busier even after we sat down and started eating.

Delicious food, friendly service, casual and intimate ambiance. We didn't have reservations and did not have to wait to sit at the bar (Sunday night 7p). Great selection of wine (they had my fave: Nebbiolo) and fresh pasta!

Seasonal Pesto with walnuts and fresh basil

The boyfriend and I finally had the opportunity to try Etto pasta bar and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, we were quickly greeted and for being our first time the kind person at the counter explained during lunch time, orders were placed at the counter and taken to your table. It was perfect timing, plenty of seating indoor and optional back patio seating with a waterfall. We sat inside and once again greeted by the friendly staff, water cups were filled and the lavender lemonade brought to the table. The table had extra plates, which was great because we were sharing our plates. We ordered an appetizer they had as a special(I forgot the name) but it was fried macaroni (not macaroni and cheese) balls with a pomodoro sauce. Beautiful presentation and everything complemented each other, definitely would get it again. We ordered Cacio e Pepe, the sauce was creamy, pasta cooked perfectly and seasonal pesto with walnuts and fresh basil, very good. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to comeback and try a different dish. We didn't get a chance to go to the store next door, but we talked about having a pasta night at home so we will be back. We felt welcomed by the staff and they were on top on checking on the tables. They also have a pasta tour so that's next on the list of things to do. Local or not, or if you love pasta give Etto a try and then go pick up some pasta and other goodies at their shop on your way out. Buon appetito!

Ceaser Salad, focaccia sandwich, mint lemon Prosecco
    Katie B.

I loveddd the food and outside patio. The sandwich was amazing and the Caesar salad was too die for, it had that crunch that you are always looking for in a Caesar! Not too much dressing and it tasted delicious. If you get the focaccia sandwich, make sure to get it heated. I had a lime mint Prosecco drink, which tasted so delicious. Seating wise that's why rated four out of five, I wish the inside was a little bit nicer. Plus you have to order at the bar, which is kind of unfortunate that it's not regular restaurant style ordering. The outside was very nice so if you go, I recommend sitting outside.

    Pork ragu pappardelle
    A L.

Casual eatery. Fast service. A decent stop in the area. Meatballs could have been more tender. Lasagna was flavorful but more of a messy blob than multilayered presentation and could have used more protein. Pork ragu pappardelle was cooked well.

I had my eye on the lamb shank ahead of time, and it turned out to be perfection--easily the standout dish of the night. I've dined at many great restaurants, and they truly executed it beautifully. Everything else we ordered was just as impressive: well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. It's now at the top of my Paso Robles restaurant list, and we'll definitely be back. We belong to a couple of wine clubs in the area, so this will be a regular stop for us--especially for that lamb shank. Parking was easy, it wasn't too busy during our visit, and reservations can be made online without hassle. Coming from the Bay Area and being used to dining in both SF and LA, I can confidently say Parchetto holds its own. High-quality food and a great overall experience. Kudos to the team.

And, although our food, (me) pulled pork sandwich (awesome) and (the gf) pastrami (she loved) -- our server was so minimal that we complained and discussed with the manager (who was wonderful). I think we'll come back for dinner. Supposed to have amazing steaks and fish. Decor is very nice, modern, with a lovely long bar and great lighting. Yep, we'll be back.
