I am not a negative person but these folks are no longer making acceptable pizza. The review is only for the Pizza Express location on Spring St. This was Terrible... the worst pizza I have had in years. There was hardly any sauce on them, and there were hardly any toppings. Each slice averaged 1.5-2 pieces of pepperoni...some were blank, and maybe a little tiny crumb or two of sausage. I mean, this was beyond cheap. No excuse for this poor quality food when you are spending over $30.00. I will go back to the Creston location next time, which is under another ownership. I did submit a complaint, but there was zero response. The other pizza...never knew zucchini could be sliced so thin and the chicken was little teeny tiny cubes that you could barely make out. Let's just say you did not know you were eating a chicken/zucchini pizza! Finally, they were both to be extra thin crust but I guess the 1" edge all around did not apply. Avoid this place or ask them for a sample first. We have many better options in Paso Robles, so I would not waste your time or money on this location, unless they fire the cook or start paying attention to complaints and reviews. I am giving a 5 star rating because I have been a customer for a long time. Tonight however my order was completely wrong. Via door dash. I tried to communicate through them but could not as their system did not allow it. I tried on Pizza Express website but no luck there either. I was really disappointed with my second order. The first one it was acceptable being that it is only a couple blocks away. But the 2nd order was horrible. We ordered a garlic chicken pizza. The toppings were okay, the dough was not cooked enough. It wasn't browned at all and it tasted well, doughy. I called the next day to talk to the manager but the woman that answered didn't communicate well with her limited English. I'm sure at some point I'll end up eating their pizza but I sure hope it'll be better than the last time. Hate giving a negative review, but it wasn't a fluke. While visiting the folks, I Doordashed this place because the other one we happily used (Moe's) didn't open until 2pm. Worse, I accidentally Doordashed them again a few days later when in a hurry. Same ingredients both times and same as as Moe's. The first time? I regret my mistake. The second time, I deserve eternal damnation. The "garlic crust" was just regular crust with $3 worth (apparently) of garlic powder sprinkled on top. The few snippets of artichoke hearts were undercooked and something had an odd (even unpalatable) aftertaste. Ingredients were sparse, but maybe that's a good thing in this instance... because both times we had major stomach issues afterwards. From other reviews, it appears we aren't the only ones. Pizza Express makes the best vegan pizza I've ever had! The vegan cheese looks and tastes just like real cheese, and the crust is the perfect thickness with incredible flavor. Service was absolutely terrible but the pizza was great! Place closes at 10pm and me and my family went inside to order at 9:00 pm. The cashier and cook said it would take 20 minutes to cook but after the pizza was cooked we would only have a 40 minute window of enjoying our meal before they would have to ask us to leave the restaurant at 10pm which is their closing hour. Unlike other restaurants that let you finish your meal even after closing hours, this restaurant told us that they would have to ask us to leave as soon as the clock struck 10 pm. On top of that, when you order a 2 liter soda, it doesn't come with cups. I had to walk across the street to purchase cups at the liquor store. Terrible service at its finest! The quality of their pizza is a 4 out of 5. The crust was great and the toppings were pretty proportionate. We ordered the kids a small stuffed crust and they enjoyed it. The adults had 2+2 large specials. For some reason the website kept upping the price every time I added the second topping. So I had to split them which caused the toppings to be split, which was a bummer. Lessoned learned that I will call in the order. Anyways, the chicken and mushroom with white sauce was A+! Leaving bad reviews isn't really my thing but since I'm a legit local here, I strongly feel this is necessary. We have been loyal Pizza Express customers for over 15 years and in the past 18 months, service has gone downhill at an exponential rate. From wrong orders being delivered (with no offers to correct), longer than normal delivery times, unhelpful customer service on the phone. I absolutely love their pizzas and the selection offered but service like this is ridiculous. If you can manage a pick up, that might be a better option. I miss the old owners. read more

My boyfriend and I just went into pizza express we ordered a pasta slice of pizza which we specifically told the girl taking our order which one we wanted and mozzarella sticks. She did ask us if we wanted the slice right then and there as we were told it would be 15 minute wait so we decided to wait to have the slice once we got the rest of our food so it wouldn't get cold. Come to find out when my boyfriend goes into grab the food they gave the slice we specifically ask for and wanted confirming with the girl to other people that came after us like mind you in the span of 15 mins they only got my boyfriend and I's order and two other people that were together so it wasn't like they were busy or anything. Who sells something to someone knowing what they wanted just before but then goes to give it to other people‍. Honestly just disappointed in the service hopefully it is a one time thing. If i could give zero stars i would so first they left the phone on speaker when they put me on hold while they talked about non work issues...then when the guy finally came whack on he rushed me so much he got my address wrong and quoted 45 min ok seems reasonable so i go with it well...almost 2 hrs later i get a call that says i am at your front door ahh finally i say but nope the driver is at the wrong address omg i almost lost it but cooler heads so i say i want to cancel my order...let's see how long the refund takes? My guess is just like the delivery longer then it should be save your money and order some where else hell you eventually get your order not like me...omg yep they are at the door now with my original order what a joke please hire better people you guys were at one time worth ordering!!! I bought a medium two-topping pizza yesterday so that I can have it for lunch and dinner. It was two toppings and a white sauce, this pizza was Bland I mean tasteless! After eating it in a matter of three hours I had to run to the bathroom and for the last 24 hours I have had to use the bathroom numerous times because this pizza ran through me. Ordered a medium pepperoni yesterday for pick up for $15 and change. The pizza was covered in grease. The sauce was okay but half the pizza was swimming in grease from the cheese. I would save yourself the heartburn and the waste of money and just go to Dellas (located in Downtown) for a couple extra bucks and get good quality ingredients and flavor. To top it off, when we arrived back to pick up our order a rude male cook rolled his eyes to hand us a pizza box because we interrupted his lunch break sitting down from the table. Okay so this place was recently bought out from the original owner. I'll say I gave them a 5star when it was the previous owner. He hand made the dough everyday, made homemade ranch that tasted AMAZING. And was just a really great guy. The new owners I will say stepped up there game in hygiene aswell as presentation. If you are looking for someone easy and quick, this is a good place. That's where my first 2 stars come in. Is it the best? Absolutely not. It's edible, but compared to what it use to be, I feel it's a let down. My third star is for the deals they did keep though. Great prices, fast delivery, good presentation, mediocre pizza... Sad to say, won't be ordering from here anymore. The thin crispy pizza crust was terrible - a thick, hard, stale cracker is the best I can describe it. The garlic Parmesan sauce on the chicken pizza was thick and pasty, although the chicken itself was good. But good pizza has to start with a wonderful crust and flavorful sauce. I ordered a pizza for delivery. They said 45 min. I called after 70 min and they said 10 more. It showed up 20 min after that. So it was twice as long as the original quote. The best part is they added a FIVE dollar "delivery fee" to my $18 pizza. What a joke that would be if they delivered on time, let alone 45 min late. I gave two stars cuz the pizza is ok. Because it is the end of the sch year, I thought on sending pizzas to the school staff, I work out of town, I contacted the store explaining them my idea, they explained me all their specials, I choose the one with 5 large pizzas.
