On our way back from a family camping trip we really wanted some Pizza so we found Pizza Factory on our way home. It was very big open space inside and only one worker, but the service was great. We ordered two XL pizza's and one Greek salad. The pizza was piping hot and so yummy. The crust was super good and I'm a sucker for some good crust. My salad was freshly prepared and was huge and exactly what I wanted in a Greek salad. My family is picky when it comes to Ranch dressing, but they loved the ranch. All in all this place deserves more then a 2 star and this is coming from a family of pizza connoisseur's.

I want to say many of the Strings locations have closed throughout the Bay Area, but this specific location in Jackson was such a nice experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was great ~ we ordered from the kids meal almost immediately, and they brought out a sippy cup and high chair within minutes. We ordered our entrees ~ I went with the Cheese Stuffed Shells and my husband the Spaghetti with hearty meat sauce and meatballs. We had yummy warm bread and olive oil/vinegar delivered to the table, and each entree came with a café salad or minestrone soup..so of course we went with both. The meal was fresh, comforting, and everything we needed and wanted for a quick stop to rest our bones for a nice meal on the road. Inviting interior, reasonably priced, and we even tried Amador Brewing beers, local to the area. To note, you can substitute gluten free pasta for an additional price. Extensive menu (including pizzas) for a little bit of something for everyone. Located in a shopping center, plenty of parking..would def come back when we're in town next year for our annual trip!

The bread, butter, and cheese served before we ordered were sooo good. The butter was especially creamy and flavorful. For starters, we ordered the arancini and verdura. Both tasted freshly fried and were excellent. Next, we had the panzanella salad, and I would absolutely order it again. The mix of olives, bread, fruit, and vegetables was so fresh and delicious. For pasta, we ordered the amatriciana and gnocchi. The amatriciana had a bit of spice, but it wasn't overwhelming and was really good. The gnocchi was prepared tableside in a cheese wheel, which was really fun. As a cheese lover, I appreciated being able to ask for extra. Our mains were the chicken cacciatore and Rudy's Cut 40 oz prime porterhouse. Both were delicious! We were already incredibly stuffed by the time the mains arrived, which were also served with delicious potatoes and green beans. They weren't listed on the menu, so we were pleasantly surprised to receive them. For dessert, I ordered the gelato pie while the rest of my party ordered the tiramisu. Everyone really enjoyed the tiramisu, and I loved my gelato pie. We were completely stuffed, but somehow still found room for dessert! Luckily, we were able to pack up our leftover pasta, potatoes, green beans, steak, and chicken. We all ended up making another meal out of the leftovers the next day. We were so satisfied and pleasantly surprised by how much food was included that we're really hoping they do something similar for Father's Day so we can come back for more!

My wife and I went for valentines dinner here, and we were both blown away with every dish both in taste and preparation, one of the few places I would say serves almost too much food. The complimentary bread was light and fluffy and was more than just some lame bread. Our apps were the bruschetta and the fried ravioli. The bruschetta comes out on fresh toasted bread, just enough to give it a crunch but still with a soft center- the tomatoes tasted fresh and there is also some toasted cheese on the bottom and some garlic on top, definitely sets the bar for a good bruschetta. The fried ravioli were huge and completely filled with cheese, the fry was perfectly crispy and every bite was better than the last- the highlight though might have been the marinara it came with, which honestly might have been one of the best marinaras I've had at a restaurant, just super, super flavorful. Apps definitely get a 5/5 For our entrees I got the chicken parm and she got the spaghetti. I've said before in my reviews that I'm a bit of a protein snob and I love my extra protein, but without even asking the protein on each dish was more than enough, and the dishes themselves were enormous. My chicken was juicy, crispy, and super well seasoned. Her spaghetti has so much sausage in it, and it was so good- even the noodles themselves had a handmade bite to them. Just a fantastic 5/5 experience for both dishes. My only warning is to be careful of the orange drizzle, it's very spicy! Our service was both fun and polite, I unfortunately did not remember our servers name but he made it fun and helped answer all of our questions. If you are looking for Italian in this area please give this restaurant your business, everything about it is perfect.

Very family-owned vibes while still feeling nice and welcoming. Service was great throughout the meal, and our waiter gave us some really good recommendations and information about the menu. They also corked our wine and kept it on ice, which was a nice touch. To start, we ordered the fried stuffed ravioli and bruschetta. We were also given complimentary fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic, which was a great addition. The fried ravioli was very good, kind of like a fancier mozzarella stick, and the marinara it came with was flavorful and balanced. The bruschetta was perfect: crusty bread topped with sweet, fresh tomatoes. So simple but so good. For mains, we ordered the carbonara and the wild mushroom ravioli. The mushroom ravioli was excellent, meaty and earthy in an addicting truffle cream sauce where the truffle flavor really shines through. The carbonara came out extremely hot, so it was initially hard to fully taste the flavors, but once it cooled a bit it was delicious. Maybe it could've used a touch more salt, but still very good overall. The pancetta was nice too, maybe just a little crispier and more rendered would've taken it even further, but it still brought that fatty, salty flavor I love. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu along with the chocolate and caramel cannolis. The cannolis were good, not anything especially memorable, but still a nice treat. The tiramisu completely stole the show. It was made fresh, which I was initially unsure about since tiramisu usually sits for a while, but the texture was amazing because the ladyfingers still had a slight crispness to them. We took the rest home, and after firming up overnight it was somehow even better the next day. Honestly the best tiramisu I've ever had. Great food, great service, and I'll definitely be back, even though I'm usually not even a huge Italian food fan.

I chose a pesto sauce for my pasta. Their entrees as filling, as these come with minestrone soup, bread, and salad. I couldn't get enough of the croutons, dressing, and garbanzo beans with the fresh, crisp salad! When you're here, make sure to walk around inside to admire the decor and read their family's rich history, including photos with the Pope St. John Paul II. I enjoyed reading a bit of Italy geography and history on the dining table place mat too! This is a big restaurant with plenty of tables, especially ideal for bigger parties like family gatherings. I was stranded, hungry, gut gnawing itself in some Dantean ring of small-town purgatory, when out of the fluorescent chaos of a Raley's supermarket, a Gen Z angel with Wi-Fi wings took pity on me. Her phone pulsed like the North Star and she pointed me down to salvation: Teresa's Place. By God, I arrived. The sun was bleeding out across the horizon, Main Street slipping into shadow, and there it was: a glowing sign like a neon Eucharist. Parking lot across the street. The doorway pulled me in like a vacuum cleaner from 1952. Inside: dim red tones, white lights surgical and holy, Brooklyn noir under an Amador County sky. Louie's Restaurant vibes--but Sollozzo ain't getting shot here, sweetheart. No: this is Jackson. This is love. The service? Think grandma with a cigarette in one hand and a stopwatch in the other--warm but brisk, like they've been running this joint since Prohibition and ain't about to let you slow them down. The Chianti comes in buckets. Jaegermeister on the dessert menu--yes, they're serious, yes, you're taking the shot, yes, Jesus himself approves. Now, the food. THE FOOD. It comes in cathedral portions, a medieval banquet dropped in your lap. My chicken parm? Christ Almighty, it was Everest under a landslide of marinara, parsley fresh as a spring fling, pasta al dente enough to play a banjo tune. Before that came minestrone, a salad with Thousand Island like some glorious church picnic of yesteryear, croutons snapping like gunfire. Bread and butter so fresh you want to slap someone. Then dessert: WALNUT PIE. Who makes walnut pie? Teresa's does. Whipped cream piled like the Alps. I licked the plate like a lunatic. Let's be clear: this is no bland Chili's with soul vacuum décor. This is a time machine, a love letter, a belly hug from the Old Country. Cozy, romantic, small-town crickets outside and Sinatra crooning in your bloodstream. And the kicker? The wall of dollars. A shrine of American greenbacks pinned with a tiny Italian flag, Grandma Teresa watching from the photo frame like a saint with marinara rosary beads. Each bill matched, money funneled to five local charities. You eat, you drink, you laugh, you sin, and you walk away knowing your gluttony just saved the world--or at least a piece of Amador County. Five out of five, no hesitation, no irony. Teresa's Place is the real deal, a mad holy Italian fever dream in a town you didn't even know existed. If North Beach has the flash, Jackson has the soul.

I figured we couldn't go wrong with italian and this place was very close. I walked in and immediately loved the look of the restaurant. If you've been to Buca di Beppo it's kind of like that with lots of photos on the wall and italian statues around. It wasn't too busy and we were able to be seated right away. The table was set with a cute salad plate that I just loved the pattern of. Our waiter was young but friendly enough. The menu isn't the largest but it has all the staples. No pictures so I took to Yelp and Google to get a look at the food and see was was recommended. I settled on Eggplant Parmesean and my husband went with Fettuccini al Alberto. The waiter brought out bread and butter and parmesan cheese. The bread was ok, it didn't seem homemade and was a little bit like store brought sliced white bread. I was starving though so I welcomed anything to get started. I wish there had been olive oil and vinegar though. Next he brought out a big plate of polenta, which unfortunately was smothered in meat sauce. We had mentioned to him that we were vegetarians twice when we were ordering, so it was pretty disappointing to be presented with a meat dish. We pointed to him we couldn't eat the polenta with the meat sauce and he apologized but they did not offer to replace the dish with a regular red sauce. I was bummed because it looked really good and I really wish they had brought out a regular one. Seems like they could just use the red sauce as a standard so it After that there was a salad which had a red wine vinegar and olive oil, it also came with peppers, chickpeas and celery, which I thought was a nice way to add some color and flavor to the salad. We then were brought a lentil soup in a large blue bowl. The blue bowl seemed like an odd vessel but it worked. The soup was very tasty! Finally our entrees came. The entree portions were a little on the smaller side compared to other restaurants, however it is an appropriate amount considering how many appetizers they provide before it. I was surprised the eggplant parm didn't come with a side of spaghetti, but I could add some for $5. The eggplant was good, not overly fried and the red sauce was very tasty. My husband was very happy with the Fettuccini al Alberto (which was basically Alfredo). Overall this is kind of a funny place that had a quirky charm. I would come back again knowing what to ask for in terms of the polenta.
