The food at Pizza Factory is ALWAYS great, but what really set this apart was the kindness. My mom uses a walker. The place was busy, and when we arrived, no tables were available. Two opened up while we were ordering, and another group was about to take the one closer to the door. The kind lady taking our order asked them to take the one further into the restaurant so the lady with the walker wouldn't have to do as far. WHAT A SWEETHEART! I have been stopping at this Pizza Factory for years and honestly always enjoyed it as well as the staff. I just went in to pick up my order and received horrible service from the new cashier. He didn't give me my cups, or a cup for my salad dressing, and most importantly MY FOOD. Which I quickly brushed off and proceeded to make my salad and wait. After waiting I proceeded to ask for my cups and again my pizza (+breadsticks). He again gave me just the cups. After waiting further I asked all three of the employees if the box (that had been there since I walked in) was mine. It was. Got a small pizza with mushrooms that were so dry you couldn't eat them same with the jalapeños. My husband and I stayed across the street at the Dow Villa. We ordered delivery from The Pizza Factory around 5:00. The delivery guy arrived quick enough but he was not wearing a mask!! . We know other employees at the Pizza Factory wore masks because we saw them delivering pizza earlier to someone in the same hotel as ours. We ordered 2 small pizzas. My pizza tasted like the cheese was old and really stale. I took two bites and then tossed it into the outside trash. My husband gobbled his up. He said it was really good . A few hours later that night, my husband got really sick with food poisoning. We had to cut our trip short and return home. All he had had to eat prior to the pizza was coffee cake and coffee in the morning. We both had blueberry pie for desert. I'm certain it was the pizza that got my husband sick because we both had pie, I didn't get sick . Very disappointed that #1, why in the hell did he show up not wearing a face mask . He knocked on the door to our room and stood there waiting for my husband to sign the cc receipt . # 2, Pizza was bad , so bad it made my husband very sick . What a shame . The pizzas we ordered were pretty decent BUT the unsanitary condition not only in the eating area ( dirty tables and chairs and had to ask them to clean them, which they did with just a wet rag, no disinfectant ) but also the bathroom (dirty floors, doors and used paper towel piling up on back of toilet and floor, as there was no trash can). We stopped by Pizza Factory today for lunch, and they had the Lunch Special of All You Can Eat pizza, bread sticks, and salad for like $9.15 a person. Salad was fresh, as were all the toppings. They had like 5-6 different pizzas to choose from. The pizza had a great dough, along with great toppings. Definitely will be stopping in on our next trip up the East Side of the Sierras. read more

Honestly the pizza here was great. It's the staff that surprised me. All the other restaurants in town have staff that smile and greet you coming in. This place has staff that are so busy talking to each other they don't have time to greet walk ins and no one walks around the tables asking if they can get you napkins or a box or anything. You must go back up to the counter for anything you want. The salad bar was almost empty on lettuce and several of the other sides bowls were low or empty. All drinks are serve yourself. As we walked out with some other people, no one stopped jabbering with each other and cracking jokes to say Thanks for Coming... Have a nice night...nothing. Come camping every year and this place is always a must have when we come. We always get the meat lovers pizza. Our pizza usually takes 15 min to make . Place is super clean and staff is friendly . Only problem was the bathroom on the right the toilet would not flush I had to lift up the lid and pull up the string so that water could start to flow in. Other then that the bathroom was clean. They also have a area with games and a machine that dispenses coins. The inside seating area has AC and if it's not too hot they also have the option of outdoor seating! This is seriously unimpressive pizza for the price, but it's the only pizza shop in Lone Pine, so there's that. (I'm not counting the $5 pizza Subway claims can be ready in 90 seconds.) A small vegetarian pizza came to over $15. I get that this is the desert and that food is expensive, but I was still surprised that the pizza emerged with the toppings still basically raw. Fortunately, mushrooms, olives, and green peppers are all edible raw. There was also a small, unidentifiable, fibrous chunk of something on the pizza, which might have been a mutant mushroom or part of a kitchen sponge. The crust was pleasantly crisp, though, and the pizza was made to order (taking about 20 minutes). Service was unexceptionable. If you have access to an oven, I honestly think you'd be better off heating up a frozen pizza. You would at least save enough money to buy some ice cream to go with it. read more

I was pass through this weekend on my way back from mammoth and stopped in. Staff was extremely kind and polite. Restaurant was clean and prepped. When they found out it was my first time Employee and management went out of their way to answer all my questions and tell me about their amazing menu. Stopped by for a late lunch to celebrate some friends returning from a major backpack trip in the nearby Inyo Mountains. Does not get better than pizza and beer after three days in the desert. However, while in the area we ate here twice and both times the customer service was severely lacking. There was no personal interest and not one person smiled! All the workers looked miserable and as if they didn't want to be there. It was kinda depressing!
