Lot of really negative reviews. Maybe I lowered my expectations because I was in Lone Pine, but I thought the place was quite decent; nothing thrilling, but where are you going to get edible thrills in Lone Pone - McDonalds? My spaghetti and meatballs in prep for hiking Mt. Whitney the next day was good. Breadsticks were good too. Didn't try the pizza but it looked good enough. It's also a hot spot with the locals, and (thankfully after we had ordered) the night we were there a local fire crew stopped in with ~25 guys. I would say the place is probably a 3.5, but I'd go here again for a pre-hike carbo load, so I'll bump it up to a 4. read more

Just passable pizza, but you've gotta give them props for aiming high with their motto! I always modify their motto to "We Toss 'Em, They're Mediocre". :) The dining room and bathroom always look like they need a deep cleaning, and their prices are about 2 times what you'd pay for fast food pizzas. But this is a quaint small town pizza parlor, so all is forgiven. read more

I used to love the pizza factory in Ridgecrest, but it's gone down so much in quality that I've stopped going. I recently found myself driving through Lone Pine and decided to give this pizza factory a shot. It was SO much better than Ridgecrest! Came in and had to wait 10 minutes for service. The prices are not listed and you don't get a receipt. Came out to $15 per person. Not even an upper class restaurant. Just a small pizza joint. While eating you just watch the employees yell and argue with each other. Bad prices, bad service, and ok food. Go to the BBQ place or McDonalds. Don't waste your money here. read more

It is our tradition to stop and have pizza at the end of our fishing trip each and every year. We stopped at the Pizza Factory in bishop, but have to tell you the pizza and the service it way better at this lone pine location. The manager MANDY is great! (Mandy with a Y not and I) She has the qualities that every manager in a Pizza Factory should have, Greets you with a smile, very personable, and just makes your overall experience better! I stop here every time I drive through to go fishing in Independence and every single time I get great service from the staff and excellent food. I went through this week and I noticed that the staff has really amped up the customer service, not just with me, but with every customer that came through the doors. One gal even came around while cleaning tables and asked the customers about their day and how the food was, which for me, was more than most restaurants will do. I appreciated the genuine and personal touch the staff had added to the PF experience. The food is always great and really hits the spot! Especially after a day of fishing. Thanks guys! read more

The place was filthy. Employees less than pleasant. We had to bus our own table and when we asked the girl at the counter (who was busy texting) for a rag....she gave us one! What can I say, this was the dirtiest and weirdest place I have ever been in California. Bugs everywhere, I'll probably get food poisoning from the poorly chilled salad bar, and let me tell you about the staff. Staying in Lone Pine for the week. We just had some of the best Pizza we have had in a long time. Very good crust and real cheese. my favorite part was the pepperoni. They accually put allot on. The salad bar was fresh. I didn't have any of the problems that other people posted. The Part that made my visit the best was, I'm traveling with my little dog and I needed something to bring out to her. After ordering my Pizza I went back to the counter to ask if I could buy a slice of ham. The person at the counter was so helpful. She got me a slice of ham at no charge. Came in here to meet friends and refuel after hiking Whitney but the wait was too crazy to stay. I ordered pasta and salad to go to bring back to my friend at the hostel and they said that would take 20 minutes! I thought it should be pretty much ready and just needed to be packaged. There were around 5 people working so seemed not understaffed. My friends who had ordered pizza were told 45 minutes which turned into 50 and the pizza looked very so -so. My friend and I went to sleep without dinner that night since we were too exhausted to wait for the food. read more

The pizza was dry and bland. The spaghetti with meat sauce lacked any kind of meat and the noodles were so overcooked they tasted like mush. The salad bar was decent, but nothing spectacular. To top it off, everything was way overpriced for a pizza joint and for what you get. A sub-par one at that. I would never go back. read more

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Mammoth. Insanely busy and super crowded. Since we had 8 people in our group we ordered 2 orders of spaghetti and 2 large pizzas. Both were pretty good, no complaints there. However this place is pretty pricey for pizza. One large pizza was about $25. read more

A friend and I stopped here for some lunch while camping in Lone Pine and waiting for our husbands who were hiking up Mount Whitney (14,508 feet and they made it to the top!). The service was good - the girl who took our order was very friendly. I noticed after I paid that there was an offer on Yelp for some free breadsticks with any pizza order. I went up to ask if they would still honor that. At first, the cashier said no but then asked another cashier and they ended up honoring the offer. We got our medium cheese pizza first. It was good but not worth $15 in my opinion. The breadsticks came next. For being free, they sure gave us a lot! They were also very delicious. If staying in Lone Pine again, I would go back to Pizza Factory. I would be happy with just eating the breadsticks! read more

Pizza is decent, but the service is pretty horrible. Expect the people who take your order to be at best disinterested, at worst annoyed that you are there. They have local beer on tap but you have to ask about it - it wasn't on the menu. And don't expect the cashier to know what beers they are, they will probably have to ask a few people in the back. I've come here multiple times over the years and it's always the same. If you want pizza, it gets the job done though. It's a strong contrast to other places in town that seem to do a much better job at being pleasant when taking your order. read more
