So this pizza is expensive. Like a shmedium is $22.97. We preordered two pizzas (olive on the side) with a few ranch sides for a pickup two hours after ordered it. So very expensive for two pizzas. Olives were on the pizza (we have a food sensitivity) and when we went to go pick up the order, the cashiers were giving us a ton of attitude because we had called in earlier for a pick up order and they said they made it hours ago and we didn't pick it up. On the receipt taped to the box it said our pick up time, two hours after we had placed it. Don't know what happened there, but not great. Had to wait like 20 minutes. Doing your basic job is difficult here. The April special ($19 large pizza) was posted, but was not honored for us. When I asked the girl at the register why our total was almost double, she told us she only does the special price when you ask for it....which is not how a special works. I then told her that yes, obviously we want the special, but apparently we hadn't said the magic words in time, as she handed us our receipt and did nothing about it. Staff was friendly! Food was atrocious. We ordered a cheese pizza, calzone, ravioli, and fettuccine. In all of the food, the cheese was thick and over baked to the point where it was difficult to eat the actual dish. The pizza was dry, hardly had any sauce, with a thick crust, and was really firm. The food, once we could actually eat it, was unremarkable, bland, and tasted like it was frozen and rapidly reheated. This is quite possibly the worst pizza I've ever had. We were happy to learn that Pizza Factory was open on a Sunday evening and a quick 20 minute drive from the Tenaya Lodge. We ordered a Big D, but we weren't brave enough to get it with anchovies. Sort of your typical local pizza joint. I'd say the interior is looking dated and could use some improvements, the view and outdoor patio space is a delight however. They have the standard menu that you'd expect: pizza, appetizers, salad, calzones, pastas, and sandwiches. Food was decent, the crust was the best part. Overall I probably wouldn't go out of my way for it, but if it's in front of me, it's still pizza and I'm going to eat it. Staff was polite, took order and delivered food promptly. Came in for the buffet. First off the pizza was really good and fresh. The place was clean and the service was extremely friendly. The thing I liked most was they brought back the buffet. After spending a long day at Yosemite, my friends and I were excited to finally have a nice meal but when we got what we ordered, we weren't so happy :( First, almost half of our pizza was burnt which basically made that side inedible. Then, when we're tried eating what we could, it was SO HARD to separate the pieces because it was not cut all the way through. Terrible service, went with two parties, one of which never got his pizza. Our order took about an hour and a half for a large pizza, two orders of wings, and garlic bread. Pizza crust was horrible, garlic bread is hard as rocks, and wings were decent. This wins the trophy for worst pizza I've ever had. The Greek salad was a rip off too- looked like a premade grocery store salad but cost $8 (even without chicken/meat). I called in to order an XL pepperoni pizza and was shocked when i was told the price was $24.99. Im quite familiar with the approximate coat of an XL pep which is typically under $20 out the door at most if not all other local CA lm ocations. I was looking for a late night dinner when I was in town so I ended up here. I tried to order a cauliflower crust pepperoni pizza in a person size pizza. I was told i couldn't do that because the crusts comes pre made and only comes in the small size and up. Unfortunately, that told me that they didn't make their cauliflower crust there I'm their kitchen. When I got to my hotel to eat my small cauliflower crust pizza, my pizza was no longer warm (my hotel was only 3 minutes away). Not only was it cold, it was not good pizza at all. My friend ordered a regular small pizza and the chicken Alfredo fettuccine. They also were not satisfied with the pizza and mentioned that the pasta was dry and barely had any sauce. There's always a special place in my heart for Pizza Factory. Although I grew up with the Mariposa location it seems as though whenever I see a location I must stop. Maybe it's nostalgia that makes me like Pizza Factory so much but to be honest the product is good! The BBQ chicken pizza is loaded with cheese, chicken and sauce. The BBQ sauce can get a little tangy for me but it's a solid pie. ~ 4 stars. So in Mariposa, THE go-to pizza is the Big R. Apparently in Oakhust the same pizza is called the Big D. #nojoke. Regardless of the name, this version of a supreme pizza is unparallelled. The mix of ham, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers is some of the best pizza I know of. If you must try one pizza THIS is the one to try. Although prices have increased on these pizzas over the years the quality has not wavered. Understand that Pizza Factory is NOT competing with Dominos, Pizza Hut, or Papa Johns. Pizza Factory products are better quality and better tasting. So if you're on your way in or out of Yosemite, make sure you make plans to stop by a locally run Pizza Factory :) read more

Apparently, this is the original Pizza Factory location, which to most won't mean much, but it seems to be a hot commodity Pizza chain spread across many unknown small towns across America. Anyways, like some of the other reviewers, we stopped by here for lunch on a recent trip to Yosemite. We had heard good things from Yelp! and thought we would check it out. The tag line is "we toss em, they're awesome." However, to me it was anything but. First, it takes forever to make the pizza (I guess that's why the billboards along the way said to call in before we came...) Second, the taste is just not that good. Third, the prices are WAYYYY too high...just cuz Oakhurst is in a high altitude doesn't mean the prices have to be that high dude! Going along with the price issue...they charge extra for take out. And there are some random photos on the wall for sale...I guess business is not going over too well :( Next time I will stick to Little Caesar's which is just a few hundred feet further down on the same street. read more

I've been eating Pizza Factory pizza since it was Danny's Red Devil, more than 40 years here in Oakhurst and this last order was the absolute last time. Pizza Factory is already the most expensive pizza in town since we're forced to use Door Dash now. Our favorite pizza from here is a half bbq chicken with hot cashews and a half big D special. This last order, one large pizza and pizza bread came to $60. As you can see from the photos the cashews are absolute briquettes and the crust is overcooked. While my side of the pizza (cashew) was completely inedible, my husband was able to eat his Big D side which he stated was severely undercooked. It's quite a puzzle how one can completely burn and yet not properly cook a conveyor belt pizza. The worst things are more than one person knew this should not have been delivered and that we're only being offered store credit and not a refund. For reference my husband is a sous chef and has previously worked in a pizza factory. Please note, if you want to contact the corporate office you'll be directed to Oakhurst franchise. Danny must be rolling in his grave. Do not waste your money. Round table is your best option for consistency for your money. read more

Basically they just lost my order ( salad and cheese pizza) pretty simple order. I was the only one left waiting in their restaurant after an hour an thirty mins.. I asked an employee twice about my order, her response "still working on it". Granted it was a busy night but even my friend ordered her 3 large pizza's 15 mins before I did and she was two customer behind me. The manager was very apologetic they refunded my money with an offer of cup of water for their mistake (what a slap in the face). I have been to other pizza Factory's locations & never had this type of service. Never going to give them my business again... should have gone to the Roundtable up the street instead. read more
