This place was very filthy. Not many options around this area so tried it out. Pizza was $20 for a large that was about as big as a $7 medium pizza at Dominos. Taste was a cross between Red Baron and Tony's. Salad bar was almost entirely out of items and didn't look fresh. Ordered a Sierra Nevada beer on tap and it was stale. I have gone here many times over the years and it's been very adequate no complaints. Today was very different we ordered a pizza with a few toppings, waited about a half hour and then realized people behind us in line were getting served. When asking about our pizza they realized there was an extra pepperoni pizza sitting on the counter so they had given our pizza to a to-go order. Instead of making us a new pizza they sprinkled our toppings on the old pepperoni pizza reheated it and served us that. Last night friends walked in and ordered a pizza. To their astonishment, the worker taking the order, had a lip full of chewing tobacco AND SPITTING in a cup as he was taking the order!!!!! She was so appalled that she told her husband and he went to see for hiself and sure enough he was still doing it . Husband asked to see the manger,who was there mind you, pointed the incident out to him, and told him that the worker should be fired on the spot for that behavior. I had such a frustrating experience and definitely wanted to vent about it. I called in my order for pickup and the gentleman on the phone was awesome, helpful, and said 20-25 mins. I waited 20 mins and walk in to a damn circus it seemed. All the young kids behind the counter were eating and joking around and shooting a gun thermometer around like it was a gun. They also had a huge group of there friends in there that they were going back and forth and I honestly didn't even know who was the workers and who were the customers. A thin young guy with curly hair helped me and was helpful and had great customer service, also tipped him. Then after 10/15 mins a middle aged women walked through the door and everyone's attitude quickly changed and every scattered. She got there and started working and proceeded to disciplined one of the workers about the time he takes lunch in front of me and another customer, which I could've gone without. Then after 45 mins I asked how much longer? The guy said well they didn't make the dough for the bread sticks and they are still in the oven. So nobody told me this and since I already paid and waited this long what's 5/10 more mins. Got the stuff and left. It was definitely a place I will not stop by again. On the way to Southlake Tahoe we stopped in Placerville to eat at the pizza factory there. They had an all you can eat lunch buffet pizza salad bar going on. The salad bar contained dressings of different types, and they were free with the salad bar. Crazy Bernie was a huge fan of the Pizza Factory in Prather when they had the old conventional pizza oven. Recently they switched to a conveyor style oven and I've got to say...The Pizza is even BETTER! I always get the Sierra Special which in the old days meant a hit or miss result. Now with the conveyor the finished product is greaseless and perfect. All those delicious toppings cooked to perfection every single time. Why listen to Crazy Bernie? Because I travel to my hometown of NYC for the sole purpose of eating pizza every year. I've traveled the world eating the best pizza on the planet including eating a pie at the original pizza restaurant in Naples Italy. A pie that cooks in a wood fired oven at 600 degrees and is ready in 4 minutes. I totally miss this Pizza Factory!! I went back home recently and the last day I stayed with my in-laws we ordered in two large pizza's along with their oh so delicious garlic bread w/sauce. I hate to give this place a low rating because the food was great as always. However, we had such a terrible customer service experience it sort of ruined our meal. This will be lengthy, but it was so horrible. There were ten of us and we didn't want to wait to long, so we called our order in ahead of time. When we arrived, to our delight, the pizza was already ready waiting for us! I walked up to the counter and was subjected to probably the rudest cashier I've ever encountered. The young blonde boy working the cash register seriously needs an attitude adjustment. I told him my name for the order and he responded, "yeah your pizzas are there." And just stood there looking at me and I said "I would like to pay and add some ranch to the order." He was acting so annoyed by the ranch, but whatever, I let it go. When I'm done paying, I go to walk to my table assuming he will bring the pizzas and he again states "your pizzas are right there on the warmer. " so I decide he's not going to bring them. I try to grab them only to realize the trays are too hot to carry while he is standing there watching. Then he just hands me napkins to use on my hands right before another worker walks up and tells him he needs to take the pizzas to the tables. He is very annoyed he has to take the pizzas for us but proceeds. He sees our table with TEN PEOPLE and decides THREE plates are enough!! I asked for more plates, and he brings FOUR more plates. I again ask him for more plates and point out that there are ten of us, again more attitude about bringing plates!! Then at the end, I went up to purchase an ice cream bar and he rolls his eyes at me while using profanity when asking me to sign the receipt for the purchase. My friends went up to make purchases and were treated with the same annoyed and rude demeanor. Wish I would have gotten his name. Pretty good pizza! The crust was a good mix of soft and brick oven baked. The sauce was a bit on the thick side, but the amount of toppings took the edge off. Attempted to place an order for take-out over the phone. We found a deal on their website that stated 2 large pizzas with 2 toppings for $22. When we inquired about the deal we were told that you have to have it on paper. Well, we were driving home and thus didn't have access to a printer. Instead of taking our order, the girl hung up! No words, just click. Extremely rude & uncalled for. We would have ordered without the coupon but were not given a chance... ...so we called back later & placed our order.
